Chad, a year ago last July, at 72 years old, I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my neck. I am now living in a wheelchair. I had hopes of traveling around the country to see some of the USA. I am lost for words at this moment in time. You are truly the best at what you do. Your video skills are first class and your music is soothing to my soul. I am living that van life thru you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Wish I could meet you to thank you face to face. Tom Guertin
It would be so interesting, from a social/psychological aspect, to try to understand why anyone would want to live in such a divorced, hostile and remote situation...other than the tribal reality...who would really want to live that way?
Not being able to sit around a campfire gave you time to focus on the finer details. Brother, this will be an award winning video. Way better than National Geographic. I can tell you after being a US Army Firefighter stationed for 4 years up at Ft. Wainwright in Alaska, that you will never forget your time there. You will look back with fondness knowing that you accomplished something few ever get a chance to do. Glad to see you had the chance to view the Norther Lights too. A toast to you brother. Cheers!
To make videography look so easy during a sunny day is one thing. To make it look like a crew is following you through search rough terrain is a step above. Truly talent

@@jebaited9612 Yes. Indeed. But that's not at all what I meant. In response to @Boontjes original comment I was referring to the Hollywood production executives etc in the TV & movie industry that produce multi million dollar productions and operate multi billion dollar production companies. 17:35 Good god that scene is overwhelming! A human being wrapped up in all kinds of clothes and equipment, while the grass is there, growing and standing its ground, so quiet. Kinda reminded me of when the Trieste touched the ground of the Mariana Trench down in the Pacific, some 12 kms beneath the surface... and then the crew saw a bunch of fish moving around. Chad, simply incredible. The cinematography, the details of your journey, the success of reaching your goal, and then the honest sincerity of sharing with us all how it touched you so very personally. Congratulations my friend and looking forward to following you on your continued adventures in the future!
Hi Chad - We are watching from New South Wales, Australia. What an awe inspiring 3 part adventure you have given us. We are blown away by the scenery and the harsh conditions that you travelled in. Your Sprinter Van is a credit to you in that you are able to travel and stay in the most unbelievably cold conditions but you are so warm and comfortable in your Sprinter cocoon!! Your commentary and drone footage is second to none. Congratulations on reaching the Arctic Ocean and the epic journey you completed to get there!! Cheers Julie & John.
Congrats man. Awesome video series. That sitting on the ocean giving cheers to the old van made me tear up a bit lol. Safe travels and keep up the good work. I would have taken that dog with me myself. Way to cold. I know they are raised for that but he bonded with you. You could tell. Nobody does that lifestyle better than you. You should be proud. Thanks for all of your work just to entertain us. Cheers!
Chad, you are awesome! You took us where I will never go or most people will never go! So appreciate your dedication, talent, kindness, caring and tenacity in the harshest weather I have ever seen! God bless you on your journey home. I will be praying for you all the way. Now, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO TOP THIS!
I am glad you found that dog it's home, I almost thought it was homeless, and maybe you could take it with you. I found a 3 week old Long Haired Jack Russell pup in winter in Australia, 100km down a no thru road, dumped at the end of that road. I rode down there on my pushy, going for a 2 week remote trip, but after finding that pup, stayed a night in the tent there, turned around and brought him home. Went to the vet a day later, got some shot's for him, and puppy milk, and he has been with me for the last 6 years. Most loyal dog, I have ever had. Comes on all my trips, actually everywhere, we are never apart. He is my service dog now, so he can come everywhere with me.. He doesn't like being away from me and frets if he is. It's a good thing you did for that pup you maybe saved it's life, the way it ate that rice, he was bloody hungry, and cold. Thanks for doing that for him..
Dude, Totally loved the Artic series, loved this episode especially, from the start and right through the end. The choice of music and the scenery was amazing.
19:40 seeing that anti "Stuttgart 21" sticker cracked me up as someone who lives in central EU :D. The dog was so adorable and this lightshow was unbelievable. These winter work of arts are always your best ones.
Absolutely epic video series! Not sure if you remember me but I was on one of your live feeds. I was the guy who was recently diagnosed with myocarditis/congestive heart failure. I've always wanted to do this exact trip. I thought that was a pipe dream for me, especially with my recent diagnosis. This has inspired me to keep pushing to recover and have faith that I will recover from my illness so that I can make this trip for myself. I've set a goal for myself to get healthy and make this trip. Thank you for the inspiration.
I sincerely hope that you make a full recovery and that you receive the opportunity to make this trip, and also that you experience many other good experiences in your life after that!
Chad! Spectacular series. Stunning. This is a virtual bucket list for me. I cannot thank you enough. I am not able to make this trip, but now,I have this great sense of completion. What a gift💗

Huge fan of the channel. I only just started watching you yesterday. but you're living my dream I'm 19 and doing van life. I only have a mini van for now but I built a bed frame and drawers and all that. I think the coolest part is I can decide on everything. where do I wanna sleep, where do I feel like traveling to today. Should stay local or leave the state. It's so awesome living freely. no rules, no commitments no one to tell you not to do something. I think after 18 years of living with a curfew, keeping up with chores, having to do everything other people say. it's nice that I can I be where the hell I want for however the hell long I want.

That was so cute with the dog hiding behind you. He's so friendly. Wonder if her was freezing out there? (probably a dumb question) Glad you fed him, cant help myself I love dogs so much:)
Those dogs live outside in that stuff. I had a German shepherd Husky cross and -35c was a summers day to her. -40 to that dog...was chilly like a cooler fall day to you and I.
I had a Siberian husky growing up and we couldn't keep him inside when we went snow camping. We never got into the negative temps, but he would sleep outside in temps approaching near zero F. We freaked out one morning when we got out of our van in the morning and couldn't find him. A few seconds later he erupted from beneath the snow. He had been snowed over and had a little cocoon that kept him warm.
thanks to chad. i got to experience a roadtrip to artic ocean and north with chad in these 3 episodes. the editing was superb. felt like i was with him in his whole journey.

Yes it's different kind of spectator sport in a fan for life.
Chad, legendary film making, taking us to the frozen north, absolutely breathtaking! The northern light display was stunning too. You have taken us to somewhere we would never go. Thank you!
The fact that this type of content is free is mind boggling
You know Chad back in June of 2020 i had caught covid... well my whole family did sending three of us to the hospital... long story short I was isolated in my room for 5 days after they let me go from the hospital and telling me good luck with over the counter medications... that's when I discovered LIVING THE VAN LIFE...I can go on and on with my boring story but I'm just gonna say Thank You so so much for your adventures... allowing me to experience what I may never get to adventure in my life... thank you brother... much love and KEEP ON TRUCKING 🤘🤘
Smashes button, then watch! Utterly incredible the amount of work this takes, you're so talented.
2023.11.02: Thanks so much for this exhilarating adventure into the wild Arctic! Great video for sure & was especially glad to see a furry friend who came to greet you, he/she came to protect you. That is an immense honour! May you be blessed as you journey along! Cheers! 🥰🥰🦅🦅🦅🦅
Marvelous three part documentary Chad, beautifully directed, shot, and produced. You’re a true filmmaker my friend, peace out.
Agreed . Authentic and Top notch .a
Chad, simply incredible.
Amazing series with incredible cinematography. Even the soundtrack enhanced the experience. Thanks for letting us tag along!
Cheers!
I salute your courage, passion and dedication!!! You're inspirational!
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
Chad, on your way home from Artic, wish you shoot compilation these 3 parts 🥰
One brave van lifer. Hats off to you sir!
Watching in Scotland, and found this to be one of thee best things I have ever watched on TH-cam... Top quality content and filming 👏👏👏👏👏
Wonderful presentation of this fascinating land. Thanks for being kind to this little Husky puppy, she looks so adorable n vulnerable. Stay healthy.
I hope you make a speedy recovery to be able to do this trip. 🙏
Chad! Spectacular series. Stunning. This is a virtual bucket list for me. I cannot thank you enough. I am not able to make this trip, but now,I have this great sense of completion. What a gift💗
I am a 50-year-old portuguese man, with a family life and a stable job, who dreams and hopes that one day (not too late) I will be able to live adventures more or less like yours. So, I thank you for keeping my dream and hope alive and living your adventures as a little bit of my owns.
May the adventure continue in you.
Best regards
Pedro
Hey, Pedro! Thanks so much for watching and your support- Glad to have you along for the adventure- Cheers!
Spectacular!! The recap at the beginning was so beautiful and the time lapse of the Northern lights & starry night was amazing! I secretly hoped that you would adopt the pup as it seemed to adopt you pretty fast! I shared to my FB, I love the videos you put out for all of us!
This series is definitely inspiring, took me to a different space even being locked in the WFH structure. Thanks and keep rocking - miles to go
Sir it was really a great pleasure watching your artic adventure one felt if one is sitting next to you and enjoying the epic and wonderful journey thankyou for this and wishing you all the best on future adventures
Thank you, Riaz Khan. Nice to have you onboard! Cheers!
The "trailer" for first and second episode is it indeed at a Holywood level, appreciate the great work you put into those clips and im looking forward for future ones
Mate, an exceptional adventure and a beautiful series of films. What an achievement. Well done and thanks for all the effort and work involved. I reckon someone is looking down on you and feeling really proud of you.
Hey Chad all I can say is amazing incredible awesome never seen anything like it and the northern lights so beautiful thanks for taking us on this incredible adventure That dog was so sweet you sure had a new friend be careful be safe have fun and stay warm 🇺🇸♥️😊🙏✌️☮️🌍
Chad, you are a phenomenal filmmaker. You really pushed your limits as you always say.
Thank you for taking us to this amazing journey.
Absolutely love the series . You are incredible, the cinematography, editing and your story telling is amazing. I’m really inspired by your work. I’m 23 and hustling and I promise one day I’ll have adventures like this . Keep reaching new heights chad . Thank you 🙌
i found this channel about 2 years ago. since that day i almost watched every single video, watched twice some of them and it was growing inside me, the flame of adventures of travelling and challenging to life it self. and tbh i owe it to you chad. i've never been more brave and never been more afraid. i am fighting against myself and its the greatest opponent i've ever seen. but im not gonna give up, i'll push through it and become the best of myself. just like you sir. take care all my kind regards.
Amazing job of filming and instruction. You really have a special talent of telling a story and making it a real adventure. Great planning and execution to be proud of for a lifetime!!!!
One of the THE BEST YT series I've watched. Multiple moments of emotion and tears by the scenery and nothingness. It's images from this video that reminds us all that "we are but dust lying down here on the ground."
Very kind words. Thank you so much. Thanks for watching! Keep on truckin!
Chad, your intro was amazing, as was expected! Sorry for the loss of your dad. It's evident he had a great impact on your life and mind-set. It's really neat to see you pay homage to his life in your videos. I'm quite sure he's with you and proud of who you become. Thanks again for everything, brother!
The Arctic and Antarctic are such amazing parts of the world. It was a pleasure to watch this adventure.
What a series, outstanding achievement, many congratulations. Your camera work is incredible, we're immersed in the journey with you, albeit in the comfort of our own homes. Sending love & appreciation from Scotland. Take it easy Chad, look forward to the next adventure.
Chad, beyond amazing your work and efforts here, inspirational!... P.S. the puppy was for sure asking for you to take him home, you and the little fella were like partners in crime. keep safe and well and thanks sharing. Best wishes, Cherie
In my whole time watching TH-cam videos, I NEVER got to the moment that Tears come down on my face BUT this video the beauty of that moment in front of the Arctic Ocean moved me that I started to feel my cheeks are wet and tears keeps coming! Brother you are so charismatic yourself and seeing you there was astonishing! And hosting that little puppy 🐶 was the moment that I would love to shout out that I love you CHAD ! YOU ARE THE BEST ❤️
So happy you made your mountain. You’re really the coolest person (no pun intended)! Seeing the Artic Ocean sign and the frozen ocean was incredible!! The pup, so sweet! The man from the village was awesome to listen to. We are all so blessed to witness this journey!
By far the best content I've seen on youtube in quite a while. I'll be honest, I really hoped you would get the dog to come with you :(
Unbelievable thing you did it, I am so proud of you, because you did it, simple you did it, congratulations for your challenge and for your value and for let us know what kind of man you are, thank you very much. Jesse please accept my recognition and continue surprising the world. Jesse
This was an epic adventure and congratulations on making it to the top of your mountain. Your dad would be proud of you Chad. Cheers.
This was one of the most enjoyable series of videos that I have ever watched! Your videos just gets better and better!! Thanks for the awesome videos Chad! Greetings from South Africa.
HELLO. AWESOME. AMAZING. SCENERIES. LANDSCAPE.
This trip has been on my bucket list - I can’t believe that I just lived it through you! Thank you so much for these amazing videos.
Really enjoyed the whole series! The level of attention you dedicate to making the shots and producing a top notch video is awesome. Definitely made the scenery justice there - and yourself too!
All I can say is “ I echo all the positive comments said by your viewers”. Man you are one hell of a filmmaker and it is truly appreciated! Thank you, God bless and be safe!
This channel is AMAZING! I hope that the TH-cam ad revenue is enough to cover and pay for all the hard work that is put into making these inspiring videos and more.🙏
That was so cute with the dog hiding behind you.
I kept saying “Bring the puppy inside!” Even though l know sled dogs live outside l still felt sorry for him.
You are a cut above!!! Absolutely fearless! The wind and ice is so frigid yet absolutely majestic!!! ❤
Loved this series! Fantastic achievement getting to the Arctic Ocean in winter! Many thanks for creating the video.
This series was truly captivating and emotional! Great for you, Chad, congrats on your accomplishment and the series!
thanks to chad. i got to experience a roadtrip to artic ocean and north with chad in these 3 episodes. the editing was superb. felt like i was with him in his whole journey.
Hi Chad I put your videos on my 70 inch 4k tv and it was spectacular like watching Game of Thrones all your video’s are breathtaking. Wishing you all the best in your journey and having a great time in the Arctic Circle Adventure.
I did the same thing and engaged the sound bar
@@adventureswithgnomie6553 samesies here too
I applaud your achievement well done to you! What a machine the van is! Cannot imagine the cold sitting here in a relatively warm UK! Look forward to what comes next! 😎🥶
Chad, this is awesome work. As a filmmaker myself, it's so awesome when you find a TH-cam creator who goes the extra mile with their content. I was aimlessly scrolling mid-work day and before I knew it, I was 90 mins deep into this adventure with you. In my opinion, the mark of the best films are the ones that inspire. You've certainly done that with this one.
Bravo, sir.
Hey, Josh, thanks so much for your kind words and support of the channel. Glad to have you onboard. Cheers!
Amazing trip! The scenery is beautiful and the northern light show was breathtaking! That van is a champ and appears to be a good investment. Thanks for taking us among. FYI, I would have taken the pup home. ☺️. By the way, movie quality - you got mad skills.
Of course someone this awesome is going to live in Bellingham WA. A truly special place. Thanks for the epic content Chad.
