  • This is my review of the brand new Withings ScanWatch smartwatch with ECG, SPO2, HR monitor, and more for $299! BUY IT HERE! shop-links.co/... (affiliate link)
The Withings ScanWatch is the $299 Apple Watch alternative that I love! It offers many of the health and sleep tracking features that have come to expect but it last for up to 30 days, and does all of the fancy things like heart rate monitor, counts your steps (step tracker/pedometer), has fitness activity tracking for running, cycling, swmming, and walking, and even allows you to check for aFib with the ECG feature that is FDA tested and cleared, and also lets you check your oxygen saturation + sleep tracking and many more features using the app on your iPhone or Android phone!

Best fitness smart watch ? Garmin 6x Pro Solar, I’ve got Apple Watch, Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro Elite & Galaxy Watch 4 and I’ve still gone back to Garmin, just wish they’d come up with 4G connectivity function, that’s all I miss !!!

Sold! 😻 Seriously, this is very interesting. I’ve never had a smart watch, and Apple watches are just way too expensive for my taste. One thing you didn’t mention is it water resistant, can you wear it in the shower? I’m definitely going to check this out on their website, and in Best Buy. Great review as always.

It’s water resistant up to 5 ATM.

None of these meet my needs because my number one purpose for wearing a watch is as a sports and running watch. I got the Galaxy watch when it was on sale at Costco a few weeks ago and have been trying it and it's kind of a mixed bag. I'm actually wearing it and my garmin watch because it doesn't fully fit the bill.. I admire these really nice watches that have some smartphone features but they're all missing what is most important to me. I eagerly await garmin to take a shot at a real possibly wearos based smartwatch
The Samsung watch often seems like an absolute joke to me. Today I used the stopwatch while I was cooking and 2 hours later the battery was dead. If I just wear the watch with the screen on it lasts like A-day and a 1/2. The other thing that makes it a joke is that there is literally not a single piece of software I can find for this watch that makes it useful. And so without any useful software for this watch I just keep on thinking why not just wear my garment which has all of these features and lasts an entire week

Nice looking watch! I've always liked the idea of a hybrid and ended up with a Fossil hybrid HR myself. Love the e-ink display behind the mechanical hands...not sure about 30 days but gives me at least 2 weeks without charging. A traditional analog watch will always be class.

Obviously, the only reason why it lasts that long is because the screen is really energy-efficient. The reason why AW requires you to charge it daily is because it's OLED, it has a speaker and it has all or most of the features one can imagine on a smartwatch like you can reply to messages or you can make/ take calls, sleep tracking, GPS tracking, etc etc. However, this is the sleekest looking smartwatch I've ever seen with everything health-feature-wise I would like a smartwatch to have and it was built by a company which I trust, as I already own one of their scales which you can also find on their website. I would give it a try, if I didn't own the AW, but I will recommend this to my friends and relatives because most of them don't care about tech so much and they really don't like charging their watch, phone, headphones, laptop, etc etc every day like I do. Anyway, as always thanks for this review man and keep 'em coming.

You’re right. The AW is basically an iPhone micro. It’s more phone than watch whereas this Withings and other hybrids are watches with some smart capabilities. No one has come out with a great hybrid watch yet.

I have both, I can say that the Apple Watch is more accurate and you can trust it more in data,
But it can be solved by just waiting a little bit (for a regular sport, wait 2-3 minutes and it takes up pretty well your heart rate, on apple watch Within a minute it’s done and for the entire activity)
I do love the scan watch tho, cause it more a tracker than a full connected sport watch, and the battery is gold !

Is the band interchangeable? The face is probably one of the better looking smart watches out there.

Yes. I mentioned on the video that you can get other bands from Withings.

I had the Steel HR when Nokia bought Withings back in 2016. It is still kicking with a 24 day battery life. I upgraded to the 38mm version of this watch and it is amazing! Bought it as soon as the FDA approved it for sale here in the states.

can to please answer these question
      1. can i use timer when workout mode is on in scanwatch?
      2. will the timer go to zero and i have to reset it all the time?

@@Asdfghjkl-w3j just checked. Workout mode has a timer from 00:00 to xx:xx but cannot access other functions. Regular timer goes from xx:xx to 00:00 so yes, but it looks like that's the way it is designed. There is a stop watch that goes from 00:00 to xx:xx that doesn't reset until you do so with a long press

Its a very interesting watch. As you said it has its place. the battery is so good though because of the size of the information display has no gps has no lte/ most prob no speaker ? no microphone ?. so no surprise there. Tbh my oppion is it looks liek an old mans watch. Id rather stick with my galaxy watch 4 classic lte. yes my battery sucks but then a ton more features. it has lte which i need. and that display is so nice.

This is a cool options for those not in the apple ecosystem, but having an apple watch + an iphone is pretty great even though I have to charge it every night, but I really enjoy how seamless it all is and you don't need to download and sync another app. But that's just me.

    • @TechOdyssey

Apple watches are great. They do stuff that no other watch does. I’m just glad there are other options. I just like the health features and basic smart watch functionality.

    • @sonnycruz7032

Yes, the Apple Watch is great because it’s basically an iPhone micro. It works for a lot of people. For people who like the look of analog watches the Withings works. Or Fossil. Or the Garmin Vivomove.
