Room on either side of the glider is nice. 😁

As you know... sometimes flying with John, it gets crowded!

@@YankeeinSC1 I've survived a couple atomic wing bumps before. Piece of cake. 😉 However, launch has a whole buncha room compared. Hope to visit at some point.

Be careful about getting into your seat too quickly like that. The cliff edge was still there and you could easily have hit your tailbone. I always recommend keeping your legs under you until you are clear of the cliff ;)

I really need to work on that. Here I got plucked just enough to feel like I should sit. The same thing has been happening to me motoring lately too. 😩

Yeah well it’s a good learning experience. You can see right after you sit down you immediately use up your brakes to keep yourself butt from hitting the ground. This slows down your airspeed and leaves you vulnerable to collapse at a time when a lot of accidents happen. Just remember the key to a good take off is airspeed and try and keep your shoulders ahead of your harness 👍. It looks like a really good day for flying, no need for motor on days like that ✌️

Noted: If rip says you wont get plucked...you will get plucked. 🤣

That or I've worn out my welcome with all the respectable folks?

I want to self train for paramotoring. I know it can be done by taking my time. I know what to purchase for my weight, any tips on what I can know that you went through with self taught

I don't encourage it. As I've seen a couple people try to follow my path and end up inevitably taking shortcuts in their own development path. That, caused them to get injured or destroy equipment or never completely follow the path that I laid out. Although now dated my earliest videos chronological the steps I took. if you have some exposure to some sort of flying, I don't care what it's in, Helicopter, general Aviation airplane or even a hot air balloon, it will help with understanding the third dimension, the vertical one. Keep in mind also, that when I made the choice to do what I did, there was not a PPG school within 400 miles of my home, except for the few that I had ruled out. The availability list for a training slot starting at two years. That's simply no longer the case. There are PPG schools with quality instructors almost everywhere and lead time to start training is significantly shorter & much more available. Quality curriculum training with solid instructors who utilize training aids and a well proven path to success, is almost unarguable.

@@YankeeinSC1 I’m trying to fined a good school that will help me out. I don’t have any in my area either lol, it’s all 3-4 hours away and don’t want to drive all the way there. I don’t really have any experience with flying at all, I have friends that paramotor. That can show me some things…if I spend lots of time ground handling, and doing tow ups. Will that help with launching and landings and control of the wing?

@@RCPilot-crawling-outdoors of course all of your friends can help. You'll either bond with them, or the people/classmates you trained with. Long after training you will be spending time with your buddies, which is a good argument for paying for a school that you attend as a travel vacation. it is nice to compare your progression to other people that started at the same time you did. You will always get back together with the folks you went through class with
