By far the finest collection of Smith & Wesson revolvers I have ever ever seen. Rather sad this will be the last time, but one must do what one must do. One of my favorites from your collection is that first gun, the Model 66 no dash. I’m partial to the P&R Smith & Wessons. I learned a lot about the features of these particular guns from your videos, so thank you; I appreciate that. I just added a 686+ Deluxe with a 3 inch barrel to my collection. Can’t stop getting it out of the safe just to handle it and dry fire it. Bought it used, but the person who sold it never fired it, so it only had the burn marks from the factory. Got a good deal on it. My second 686+; the other is a 4 inch; but for some odd reason, this one makes me smile.

Great collection! I also have a 66-1 4". In addition to the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder I like that it has the S&W logo on the right side frame cover, leaving the left side clean. I'm just starting my S&W revolver collection... a blue 586-1 in 8-3/8" with adjustable front and rear target sights... never fired and I got it for free! A 60 in 3" stainless... never fired, a 686 Plus Deluxe in 3" stainless... never fired. Gonna have to shoot them all some day... nah. Tomorrow I pick up a 637 Performance Center... I'll change that one to the Altamont Altai Super Rosewood grips (IMHO, the Altai grip models by Altamont are by far the best, prettiest, and most comfortable grips for the J and K/L round frame Smiths), then I'll probably never fire that one either!
Sounds like you're off to a great start. I'm not sure why you never plan on firing them though. Altamont grips and stocks are really well made, fit great, reasonably priced, and are comfortable in the hand. They are a little thin for my liking, butt still great nonetheless.

My dad also used to have a 6 inch 686 for a long time. That and his 629 classic with full lug 8 3/8" barrel, I was shooting those when I was 10! I was helping reload brass to back then lol. By the time I could drive I had been shooting for over half a decade. When I was 10 I was loading the magazine on his Colt Gov 1911, loading the mag, racking the slide and shooting it as fast as I could pull the trigger lol. He used to have about 60 guns until I was about 30 and he sold most of them off. Those early 686 snubbies are amazing. I'd love to have one with nice magna grips from the 70's with the wide checkering pattern. Ugh, one day.

Fine collection Sir. My father also was a collector and sadly sold them off. As a little fellow I went with him as he did his trading and purchasing long ago. I have what was left of the items when he passed. I urge you if possible to hang on to your favorites for any young family members that may be watching from a distance. They will remember. Good luck and good health in your future.
Have had many Smiths - however five kids, a wife of 55 years, and empty pockets, have led to trades, sells, etc. 😢. Thank you for really good reviews, and an accent appreciated by the northern "Yank" 😂
Oh my, I would love one of those early 686's. I fell in love with that gun when they first came out and bought one around 1980 I think. It was 4 inch, stainless and had those same light walnut grips (not nearly so lovingly polished as yours of course!). I would love the opportunity to buy one from you, not knowing how interstate gun buying works at all.
Dang. Just found your channel bout a month ago. I'm using your stock refinishing method on all my Smiths and it's going great. Used the high gloss poly on my 19-3 panels and they look great but i tried the warm gloss poly on my next set from my 29-2 and i may like it a little better. Not sure yet. Gotta look at em a little more. Got several more to do. Thanks for all your help sir.
Thank you Mr. Allen. Once you do one set of stocks, you just want to do them all. I did a couple sets in semi-gloss that look great too. They look better on blue or satin / brushed finishes IMO.
Dude… I will really miss your videos. Loved listening to you and your passion for SW! Your attention to detail and the respect you show towards these works of art mirrors that of mine! Sad to hear your going to sell your collection, but good luck with it. You have many beautiful s&w revolvers.
Thank you. I've enjoyed them, and it's time to let them go.
Been watching Gun Broker , haven’t seen u putting anymore pistols up for auction
No, not recently. Been busy with other higher priority stuff of late.
Greetings, Sir.
Long time no see.
I hate to hear the news, and hope your health is not the reason for this decision.
But whatever the reason im sure you know whats best for you.
Ive always enjoyed your videos and share the love you have for fine Smith and Wesson pre lock revolvers.
Especially the stainless ones.
I wish you well,Sir, and i hope the new owners of these guns appreciate them as much as you have.
Thank you Sir. No my health is not an issue as far as I know. I've decided that it's time to do this for various reasons.
You took meticulous care of these. It really shows.
Thank you; I tried to. It was a "lobor of love".
I’ve always enjoyed seeing your revolvers. My own favorites are a 4” and 2.5 686+ revolvers, although I mostly carry the 2.5” model. 👍👍👍
Another outstanding video! Amazing collection and information.
Thank you...
I never knew that any 57s were sold as 29s. Thanks for the knowledge!
Thank you. I didn't either until about 25 years ago.
Very nice good sir! I enjoy your videos. I am an 07 FFL and I do cerakoting, building, and light gunsmithing. I am in the process of learning the art of polishing and gold plating. You have helped me a lot! Thank you!
I couldn't sell any of those guns and I'm in the business!
Thank you Sir. I know you'll do well with both of them. Selling them off won't be easy or hard. I'll enjoy them as I sell them one at a time. It's just stuff.
Stunning collection. Sad to see these get split up from a caring owner!
I would Love to have anyone of those 686's The 4 inch one is beautiful!
Thanks for sharing your collection of revolver's I currently have 2 I find myself growing more drawn to them.I love my semi automatic but you have to respect what started.
Thank you Sir. Revolvers are cool as it gets.
Beautiful collection
@@BigDaddys357 thank you.
Marvelous collection.
Thank you.
I have 2 of the S&W 8/38 barrel revolvers (629 & 686), S&W model 60 snubnose and the same model 66 (4inch barrel)
Great. You should add about 2 dozen more. LOL...
Wow!
Thank you Sir. It's a "WOW" moment for me too every time I look at this video. LOL...
Beautiful collection! It would be difficult for me to sell any of them.
Thank you cincinnatiking. It's hard for me too, but it's time.
Fantastic!! Did I miss the "no dash" Model 60?
No Sir. I don't have one.
Have had many Smiths - however five kids, a wife of 55 years, and empty pockets, have led to trades, sells, etc. 😢. Thank you for really good reviews, and an accent appreciated by the northern "Yank" 😂
@@yankrowan272 I understand.
“Hand raised” I’m interested. Beautiful pieces.
Thank you Sir. "hand raised"? Explain.
I’m interested in being a purchaser at the time I did not know where to go to bed, but you made that clear later in the video and I do appreciate it
Bid. AutoCorrect is not reliable.
Beautiful collection you have Sir..just beautiful
Beautiful
Indeed.
Thank you.
Dude… I will really miss your videos. Loved listening to you and your passion for SW! Your attention to detail and the respect you show towards these works of art mirrors that of mine! Wish we
Could connect and talk SW… I just today (1/01/25) watched this video… Hope I can buy a few of
your revolvers. Tell me… have any left?
Wish you the
Best my man!
You have an amazing collection.
I have learned a lot from your videos
All these look awesome, bummer about giving them up.
I only got five revolvers (S&W’s, a Colt & a Ruger)
Good luck on your selling…
Super nice collection
Thank you .
classy, love this
Thank you Sir.
Awesome 🫡 revolver collection
I know its going to be tough to sell them. You have done an excellent job maintaining and gathering such a great collection. I have a collection of Smith and Wesson 3rd generation semi autos in 45 acp. One day i too will part with them but not just yet.
I understand. I have one 4506 too that I'll be selling as part of my semi collection.
Sorry to see a great collection go - but def understand! Having owned many of the models you have, one at a time, they went for dif versions - all Smiths.
Have enjoyed your reviews very much, forwarded many to my daughter - thank you!!!
ps - have 41 ammo - but the 57 is long gone 😢
Thank you Sir. I still have some .280 ammo too, but haven't a .380 gun in over 10 years. LOL... It's kinda of bitter sweet shedding my collecting. But for all things there is a season. I hope the new owners of these will enjoy them in their seasons. It's just stuff -- right?
Haven’t seen any of your Pistols on GB latley
Life priorities constantly changes. I'll get back to it soon.
Bravo!!!!
I am so curious. I am so sad. I am sure you made the best decision for you and yours. Good luck my friend.
Thank you Mr. Myers. I imagine you've caught a lot of flack being named Michael Myers.
Awesome collection! Thank for sharing.
I can’t keep up I only have 10 Smith and Wesson revolvers! The shame
Ten S&W' revolvers s nothing to sneeze at. I only had 10 at one time also. Keep collecting...
Le falta el s&w modelo 64 - 4
Beautiful collection. This video is a pleasure to watch. I hope these revolvers go to people who keep them in excellent condition.
Incredible collection Big Swoll58. I have my GB account with a perfect rating. I am very interested in a 66 with a 4 inch barrel. My S&W stuff is all modern and I want a vintage 66 from a trusted seller. I love the 686's too. And 19's. 🙂 Please let me know what you are asking for that 66 which you have shot more than the others, that has the target grips, hammer and trigger.
Wow. I bet that’s going to hurt to sell them all. But we will all reach that point in life @ some point. You will have a lot more free time on your hands. I have enjoyed the content & your expertise on your channel. Will hate to see that & you go. BTW- just out of curiosity, what state are you in?
Thank you. I'm in Georgia. Letting them go isn't that hard at this point. Deciding the order to let them go is.
@@mr2275cur I’ll probably hold on to a few of my primos to hand down. Then sell 3/4 of the rest.
