3:37 Quick correction. Frogs in the Mangrove Swamp (a warm biome) will be white frogs that give the pearlescent froglight, while frogs in a pre-1.19 Swamp (a temperate biome) will be orange frogs that give the ochre froglight. Of course, as you note, you can transport the tadpoles to other biomes to get whichever color you want.
Awesome farms, as per usual, great work! Already have a big magma cube farm on the server so might use the collection system as well as the killing chamber with frogs parts in that. Thanks again!
Hey Ray!, a long time Fan here!. Really love that you're making block by block tutorials for some Harder Farms too!. But i think some tips / Reorder so that its easier while Building... Eg: Instead of placing the whole spawning earlier which causes Magma cube to spawn which makes building the other Parts like the Golem and Centre parts hard to build, and after the Golem is Built. its hard to cover it up as iron golem is moving and the Magma Cubes are swarming it. it seemed hard for you even in creative..., ig Look into some alternating order which might make things easier!.❤️❤️
I build froglight farm on basalt delta with magmacube filter and with 9 frogs, I try to minimize number of magma creme in farm, production rate should be lower but it still produce more than 4k froglight per hr.
would it be possible to speed up the killing process? like for example by using entity cramming few blocks above the ground? or maybe wither roses or something? freezing is i think a bottleneck of this farm
Finding other ways to speed it up would be a hard one. Entity cramming with minecarts isn't a good idea since they would just spew out when touching an entity hitbox. Wither roses will increase magma cream production rate and lower froglight drops. Best way I could think of would be letting iron golems hit the magma cubes while filtering the small magma cubes to the frogs.
What does the minecart boat do in the last farm you show? I see it might be on a powered rail, but I don't know why it is there of there is anything else in it.
@@RaysWorks I can see that theres a small magma cube in the minecart boat. but what is it for? what if you just remove all of it plus the glass at the portal and just let them push each other off the portal?
Powdered snow will break down Slime to the small slime, though not quite as fast as magma cubes. Frogs will eat small slime and give slime balls, the you just have to collect them
My base is in a savanna (hot biome) so I had the pearlescent ones. I have a bubble elevator with a portal above the roof in the nether. I build a platform for breeding the frogs up by my portal. I have a gold farm there on the nether roof so I moved to a basalt delta over 128 blocks away for my farm. I found a mountaintop with a cold biome and a temperate one touching about 2000 blocks away from my base. It was already over y 128 so I made about a 15x15 room covering both biomes and made a portal in one wall with a door to keep the frogs out and any piglins that spawn from getting in. Pool in the center for breeding and 1 block holes around the edges. Dropped some tadpoles in and fed them slime balls from my slime farm to get them to grow fast, then bred them with more slime balls. Once the eggs hatched in the pool in the center, I scooped up each tadpole in a bucket and put it in the 1 block hole in the biome I wanted them to grow up in. Easy to get the color you want. I then recorded the portal coordinates (having NEVER gone through it) and went back to my base and got on the roof there. I then divided the coordinates by 8 and created a portal on the nether roof. Going through i went right to my frog farm. I leashed some up with leads and took them through the portal (needed a corridor beyond to to get them to follow quick since the leads have a length). I went through to the nether and collected the leads and re-attached them and just walked the 300 meters or so to my froglight farm with them. Nothing spawns on the nether roof unless you place spawnable blocks, so it's 100% safe, and 1/8th the distance of the overworld. The elytra leashing method didn't work for me, I'm guessing because my server is paper.

POV: You're watching this even though you know you're never going to build it.
Have some confidence in yourself :)
Because I already have a basic one that sort of works ( square room with frogs in a basalt delta and mine cart underneath )
I'm 100% building this and if I dont, there's reasons. (Most likely frogs being a pain to transport)
I mean that there’s a pretty satisfying collection system. Yeah.
Exactly
My server has been struggling with lack of light sources, this will certainly help!
Just made the Basalt Delta farm. It gave me 3 full chest while afking for 1.5hour ish. Now I can go ditch my torch and finally go green :)
@@Klappie123 for me i only got a Stack / h

Funnily enough, I was searching for a good froglight farm tutorial yesterday
Was here when u were recording it live
n i c e rates on the last farm
I really like the look of froglights even tho ik I'll never use them in a build

my hopper minecart isn't pausing on top of the hopper for unloading in the 3rd design, I'm not sure what's wrong, it looks the same as yours
i forgot tadpoles could go in buckets i was trying to use a lead to get 2 frogs back to my base
How would that powdered snow trick work with normal slime farms? Especially the new swamp based ones using brown mushrooms?

Wait... do you call this _frog labour?_
I noticed you don't have a sugarcane farm on that list
Is that something you're planning on doing?
The world download files come to me as *.nbt files. What do I do with them?
@@RaysWorks Rude! For 8 more keystrokes you could have typed "Search Structure blocks" -- not rude.
Can you make a frog auto kill farm?
Why would you kill frogs
there's no use for this
@@jonathansauceda589 because they could die by other means and we want to minmalise their dying potential
What are you talking about? The orange frogs can be found in the normal swamps.
@@RaysWorks Where?
Rays can you explain how the prototac got command block in survival
you know i clicked this for the thumbnail
Or they could've just, you know, added fireflies
The only prob i see is how to bring frogs there without one dying on the way

Me still waiting for the material list:
Not that this isnt a pretty great looking light source, but what’s with the naming scheme?
Agree. I don't think it's good source of light. But as a builder a can say it has very interensting texture so it have some use
3 color of froglight = 3 color of command block!
No, it means 3 types of frogs = 3types of froglights
@@jonathansauceda589 I think he means the colours are similar to the command blocks
FIRST!
hi
Sea lanterns are still a better looking light source.
