This was when she burst onto the country scene. She later became one of the most successful country/pop crossovers. She paved the way for artists like Faith Hill, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. IMHO. Legend!
Probably not so much for Faith because they are of similar age and both of their debut albums came out the same year, with Faith having a #1 single in the US Country charts then too, whereas Shaina's singles from her album that year failed to break to top 50 in the same chart.

I'm from her hometown and my mom went to high school with her. She's an amazing singer and person! They still play her music all of the time on the local radio stations. This is still one of my favourites!
