Galatians: The Gospel of FREEDOM

The gospel of Jesus is the gospel of FREEDOM. It sets us free from slavery. Paul, the author of Galatians, spent years in the prison of legalism. He wrote Galatians to clarify the gospel. He wanted to make sure the new believers in Galatia did not grow up subject to the bondage of religion and miss the FREEDOM in Christ entirely!
Galatians was written to CLARIFY and DEFEND the "truth of the Gospel" in the face of a false gospel.
We can learn so much from Paul as he reminds us that we are FREE and teaches us to walk in that FREEDOM.
In what ways have we put ourselves in chains? And let ourselves be burdened once again by a "yoke of slavery?" We may not even be consciously aware of all the ways we buy into expectations set by others or established by the culture and heavily burden ourselves - so that we spend our days stressed with unmanageable expectations. It does not have to be this way!
