One of my favourite films in recent times, starring both my favourite actor (John Travolta) and my favourite actress (Scarlett Johansson). A very touching film, this ending really stood out to me personally and I wanted to rewatch it .

I found this Great Movie in a Discount DVD store, back in 2007, So Glad I bought it. It's one of my All time favorites. Love the Soundtrack too. Very Underrated Movie. 🇦🇺✌

True. It was one of Scarlett's finest acting works. It obviously deserved an Oscar nomination for both her and John. But I guess that the lack of box office success and critical support decided otherwise.
This film and the music will always be among my favorites.

very underrated movie
Actually the movie did poorly at home but was very successful abroad, quoting from Wikipedia: A Love Song For Bobby Long earned "$164,308 domestically and $1,676,952 in foreign markets for a total worldwide box office of $1,841,260". I personally was mesmerized by the place, the actors, the story and the music !

Loved it so much, every time I watch it over again I get even more emotional. But the ending is kinda unclear to me, do Lawson and Pursy end up together? Theyre holding hands but still? Ive been stressing over this for a while 😂
Lol yes they made a point of showing them holding hands to let us know, but you’re right it is subtle. That scene is a coda-its now a few years later, the book is published, she’s in school and they’re a couple!
A story so true that it brings a tear to these weary eyes.

completely different plot, no love story, no boobs, no alcohol, but I do find them didascalic in a somehow similar way.
One of his best I think. I give it 5 stars for sure!

One of the most underrated movies of that time. Forget that this was a sleeper movie. Means the world to a person who has a love for words.
This is one of John Travolta's best videos, although I do wonder how they got his hair so white, when it is so naturally black.

Купцов Виктор The song is "I see you" written and performed by Grayson Capps,who wrote part of the soundtrack,including "A love song for Bobby Long" and also the song here at 3.00 (Lorraine's song)..Grayson is also featured in the movie and you can see him playing in this final scene. Grayson's father,Everett Capps,wrote the novel "Off magazine street" from which they made the screenplay for the movie. Grayson's songs performed in the movie are featured in his album "If you knew my mind". All the albums and music of Grayson is simply great..check him out if you can. He's a very good friend of mine and we'll be touring Italy for a run of 15 shows starting tomorrow! Bye! J.
