I have a gx460 with OEM cross bars, will the large fit the cross bars, or overhang from the sides?
I know the 4runner and GX 460 are close in size, but I haven't seen a 4Runner with large version or any GX with this basket.

Can you attach the slim shady awning on the integrated crossbar?

I just heard back from my Yakima representative. They tell me that they don't recommend attaching an awning to the OffGrid crossbars because the force needed to pull the awning out can cause additional stress to the connection between the awning and the crossbars, the roof basket and the crossbars and the roof rack to the vehicle. They only recommend attaching the awning directly to the roof rack crossbars.

The roof rack that is on the 4Runner in this video is the Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Bars. You can definitely use this rack with your factory roof rack.

If you would like to check to make sure it will fit, the minimum crossbar dimensions needed for the Yakima OffGrid Roof Basket are 40" long x 1-1/8" wide x 1-1/8" tall. I don't any problem with them fitting.

You can either use the Medium OffGrid in the video or the large version found here www.etrailer.com/Roof-Basket/Yakima/Y07138-08.html which we have confirmed will fit with Yakima. This measures 62" long x 40" wide but you can remove the extension piece if you need the smaller 44" long x 40" wide basket.

can i put a sky box on top of this basket?

The Yakima sky box attaches to roof rack crossbars and so does the roof basket. You will not be able to use both at the same time.
