Not having manual means you got it "open box". Probably someone got it and returned it. All Switch Lite comes with manual which sites under the console and above the charger.

hi 👋 i got curious and i tried it haha. you can still play the game offline but you can't play with your friends online and you can't visit their island. So I guess you can still play it outside but you'll stay on your own island. 😊
