- A run of the classic Schrodinger's Cat with me acting as one of the insert/extract Littlebirds. An SF team has been shot down and we're racing to rescue them while enemies descend on them from all directions. This is a really entertaining mission to watch. Lots of chaos making for plenty of opportunities for players to improvise. Watching that Blackhawk scoot past your little bird is the sort of thing most games need to script. Shacktac is great because the tales it tells happen organically.
It's unbelievable the amount of holes that were in your little bird at the end and yet you were still flying! Yet somehow SteelTalon (LB1) and I (CAS/Angel) both got nailed by that MMG on the SE corner of town. Amazing flying once again.
Hahaha, I love Beagle leaping out to get on the skid and just immediately passing out.
Yo dude, first comment on your videos. Found your channel about a week ago and probably have watched about 30 of your videos in that time! Absolutely top stuff!! Always a joy to watch and it's even making some of my friends who don't really like Arma, want to play :P Keep that machine rolling dude!! :D
I was the one who got stuck on the skids of the MH-6, because of the delay in the addaction. It was crazy because I couldn't hear Dslyecxi over the helo rotors while in Fire From Vehicle mode, very intense stuff.
Thanks Dslyecxi, your flying got me through that bit of embarrassment. :)

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks. Been wanting to join up after watching the stuff from these guys in shacktac for a while now. Finally bought Arma 2 for Dayz (Regretful) and now I wanna make use of the game for something fun.
Well, it's an excerpt. The MH-6 didn't drop off the snipers, a Blackhawk did. The MH-6 co-pilot evac'd two guys who were wounded into the Littlebird and they got them out, though one later died. Was just meant to be a confirmation of what Dslyecxi said - MH-6 has been used to extract in emergencies.

Nice, maybe i can get my hand on them someday and try it. I've been doing your MH-6 training scenarion quite a lot, but ACE Littlebird acts very different compared to the oryginal. Maybe it will be easier with pedals.

Excellent extraction. I want to know what automatic fire was trying to take down your MH-6 Littlebird. I do have to wonder though, Blackhawk was counter-rotating all the way through session :x

Schrodinger's Cat is a paradox where there's basically a 50% chance a cat is alive or dead in a box you can't see into, thus it is both alive and dead until you actually look into it. This means that guys on the ground are both alive and dead, until the extract arrives and finds them alive. or dead.

Read the wikipedia page for the Battle of Mogadishu: An MH-6, callsign Star 4-1 and piloted by CW3 Karl Maier and CW5 Keith Jones, landed nearby and Jones left the helicopter and carried Busch to the safety of the Helo while Maier provided cover fire from the Little Bird's cockpit, repeatedly and heroically denying order to lift off while his co-pilot was not in the Bird.

They dropped off two Delta Snipers to cover the down pilot, while the Humvee force attempted to relocate to their position. However, there position was overrun, and the two Delta snipers were KIA.

I love Adversarial missions above all else, players "think" differently than the game AI which makes everything even more unpredictable. How often do you play TvT missions as opposed to Coop?

Ping isn't a problem if you're flying(within reason), I was orbiting/half coordinating landing zones the entire AO in a Blackhawk with no problems.

okay, so I just ordered ARMA 2 OA (all the way from Europe... God damn), and am very excited.
However, I see that you use mods for the AI. Are the AI bad in the vanilla version? Should I get mods to improve the AI, or are they generally fine without any mods?

@Dslyecxi, I recently purchased a Track IR 5 + Pro Clip, when it arrived the Pro clip was damaged witch caused it not to work properly (If I were to use it, my head would always slant to the left in game) Are you able to use the Track IR 5 its self? I have tried and it only picked up the light coming through my window and the light on the ceiling of my room.
I have ordered a new Pro Clip and hopefully that will solve my problems!

my tips for you is to look at the control settings to find out what you can do because there's lot's of extras that many don't know about (i.e. usight sight & scope on same weapon... numpad / by default).Then you can learn to fly like Dslyecxi by playing his training mission(s). Check Armaholic for that and much more.
Also, as a new owner of Arma you MUST read up and hopefully aid in the effort to free Martin and Ivan (more details on Armaholic and possibly Dslyecxis' site)

Dyslexci you use Keyboard and Mouse for flight right? Just a quick question (which might be very simple) but how do you slow up on an approach for landing? I normally find that I overshoot the LZ even if I do slow up or my tail would collide with Defolade?

I love these ops that have a more scenario feeling to them. Not to say that the majority of your missions are boring but I particularly like rescue ops :D

How big a diffrence would you say it is when you watch your clips on youtube from what you saw while recording? I'm guessing that you play in 2560×1600? Reason why I ask is that.. well.. I mostly don't even see the guys you're shooting at, so I'm guessing that the difference bewteen playing in 2560×1600 and 1920x1080 is like night and day... like comparing apples with...hmm...juniper berries?

I just got Arma combined ops on sale and I have no experience whatsoever. Any tips on how to get better like how to. Find a good group that plays regularly and would accept an absolute noob. Is it beneficial to play the campaign? Also I have a new series for you, have a pFNG session and make sure they have never played the game before! Sounds like fun huh?! Also great flying and video.
