What irks me about this matter is that Konami wants this game to be a trading card game, but only allow transactions at events if you’re an authorized vendor. Basically saying that unless you are an established business can you then trade cards for money, all the while these vendors are the ones who dictate card prices for a shiny piece of cardboard.
What happened to in that pokemonbtourney was way more fucked up than anything posaibly imagined. That kid shouldn't have been put in that embarrassing place by the hands of ungry adults
Sounds to me like tye judge was having a shitty day and decided to take it out on someone. Put this in the hands of a lawyer and theyll have a field day in the small claims court, especially since he produced the receipts proving he bought from authorized vendors in accordance with their policy and their entire "evidence" of him breaking the policy was circumstantial at best or outright fabricated at worst. Even more so if konami decides to ban him ontop of the DQ, he could really go them if they do that.
Poor Jordan. Should they need to prove that he bought cards for other players instead of venders? You know normally people are innocent unless there proven guilty in law.
Honestly maybe the vendors should join in too. If every vendor made a claim for $800 or more in damages, then it might cost Konami some money. Konami made them lose potential sales.
Lawyers would have a field day with this in the small claims courts. Their evidence for DQ was shaky at best, especially since he produced receipts proving he bought from official authorized vendors.
Well companies like Konami, TH-cam, Twitter etc. are entities, they can technically legally kick you out of their platform even if you do absolutely nothing wrong and you cannot sue them just for that. However they will pretty much never do it as it is awful publicity for them in case that person exposes them. This is the kind of situation where you can't do anything about your disqualification as Konami has the right to do whatever they want with their player base (in accordance to the law of course)
@@yacine656 this is true, but there still some legal grey area/room, especially since their policies are so murky once someone start diving into details.
Thing is the konami policies trickle down to regionals and local events as well from card rulings to more extreme cases like this, they essentially used jordan as a scapegoat to send a message to the player base, it will essentially shake up how e-commerce is conducted within the yugioh tcg going forward.

He should have written it like it was a hard once per turn. When activated buy cards; from the veder, once per break between matches you can only use this effect of Michael once per in-between matches. You know the confusing ass way konami writes these effects.
so...means its possible for a random person to make a random post about buying cards during ycs season, and then tag people who qualified for ycs for opinions on his purchase, could result in their disqualification too?

Innocent until proven guilty only applies to court of law/the state. What Konami did is definitely insane, though.
Remember Trif that just joked in video? Yep they banned him for same reason without proof that you are just doing that at all

I hate the guilty until proven innocent. Even if you can you are still guilty.
