One of the things that always irritated me about the surprise nude shoots was that when a girl objected, the show went out of their way to portray her as hyper-religious, prudish, childish, or overly conservative. In reality, they had boundaries and they had every right to refuse no matter the reason.
Mine was when Eva was terrified of spiders and they had to pose with a tarantula on their hands or face with jewelry… another one was when Chris didn’t want to go in the roller coaster cause she was mortified of being on a roller coaster but she did it while being terrified…

I think I just saw this same behavior on the documentary “Quiet on the Set” it constantly amazes me how society keeps moving the bar lower and lower. Producers, showrunners, higher ups just wanted barely 18 nudes, that’s all. This didn’t have anything to do with modeling, this was purely for some perverts spank bank
I remember watching ANTM as a kid dreaming of being a model and these episodes always scared me because i thought that a surprise nude shoot would be expected and normal…
I’m a boudoir photographer and I work with plenty of models and clients who are comfortable shooting nude, but I would never, ever, ever force or coerce someone into shooting nude that isn’t comfortable doing so. And anyway, the photos probably won’t look great if the client/model is uncomfortable, so what’s the point?? It’s appalling that they got away with this. I used to watch ANTM religiously when I was younger. I can’t believe I never realized how awful the show is. I love your videos, btw!
Yes exactly what you said. This is conditioning them and maybe even grooming them to accept whatever you're told to do in the industry. (And let's be honest, conditioning all the young impressionable viewers as well.)
the contracts/NDA's every Reality Show contestant has to sign is in the 100s of pages, and those contracts/NDA's give the creators/producers full control over every aspect of the show. I would strongly argue this is bullying/grooming/sxuall harrassment. 0:50 - if those two approached any 18 yr/old female in the street & said, " Hi, we'd like to photograph you naked.. ", you'd call the cops IMMEDIATELY !!
I love how Jay never gets the point. He knows this is not how you do this is the real modeling world, telling them seconds before a shoot they're going to be nude. And I'm sure they do wordplay in small letters in the contract. Even Tyra says she doesn't pose nude! She simulates it and they retouch it.
It's not enough that they're being forced to expose themselves to an entire city landscape and a camera crew, made up of predominantly male camera operators, but having to do it in front of their fellow young female competitors too. We all know how b*tchy girls can be at that age and I have no doubt that there were whispers and giggles on the sidelines whilst some of the girls were doing their shoots. This can even be seen in Jaslene's behaviour towards the shoot, being icy and p*ssed off the girls who feels uncomfortable and saying the exact same thing and the photoshoot shoot directors, just because she doesn't care about shooting naked. All these poor naked and vulnerable young girls must've been feeling judged BEFORE the panel of 'esteemed' judges collaboratively rip into them about how they performed and degrade them on their final photo for thousands to watch on the telly. PLUS, the fact that this was their FIRST photoshoot so a lot of the girls probably hadn't established their confidence with their bodies and in their modelling abilities makes it sooo much worse. This is just wrong all round and I feel for these girls being coerced into this situation being told that they'll never go far and get anywhere in the modelling world if they don't do this. The whole shoot was just a "if Tyra says jump, who says how high?" situation to find out which models will be the easiest to manipulate into whichever bull they're planning to pull this season. Turns out years later it's the judges, creative directors and production being exposed for their disgusting behaviour - got to love these full circle moments.
That Jaeda comment about having "masculine" features just proves that the producers had purposely (and maliciously) cut her hair super short during the makeover scene! The way they preyed on the girls' insecurities for drama and nothing about "high fashion".
The sad thing is, 10 years ago I applied for the show. And the application was lengthy and looong. And I remember pausing at the question for consent for being nude. Me being young and naive I just rushed through the paperwork to submit it in time. I’m glad I didn’t get picked smh
I wish someone used the format of a modelling competition but instead of making the models uncomfortable and talking pictures that they will never use. Instead, they should try to help the models build up their portfolio and grow their modelling skills. It will be very healing and interesting to watch!
There is a series that followed the scouts from IMG trying to find models in Ireland. That was really good. A proper agency and real world experiences and clients but still the knockout format. Also The Face with Naomi Campbell an Erin O’Connor. Both are on TH-cam.
it's like tyra is projecting all her trauma and insecurities on the models. Absolutely disgusting and it is sad that she got away with it, totally unfair.

I just realized that the first girl that went up was Brooke and she was a senior in high that missed her graduation for that show. I remember her interview with Oliver Twixt that this photo shoot was intentional for shock factor and to target the young, naive, conservative girls like Becky and Ginger knowing that they wouldn’t cast them on that show to begin with is really effed up. I can’t believe this show was below the radar during those times because it wouldn’t fly today.
"Be ready to take your clothes off when asked to." "Be ready to do whatever the client wants you to for the shoot." "Work through the pain." "Don't talk back to the photographer." "No, you can't talk to your family for more than 15 minutes today because we have a lot to film." What does this sound like...?
Not only was this creepy and predatory of a shoot, but since they only used mainly the shoulders up they could've easily similuated it or given a backless top and just photoshop out any fabric showing. Which means they could've had bottoms on the entire time! This shoot was so creepy.
This is so wrong on so many levels. In a way, I think a nude photoshoot is to be expected when you go on ANTM just because they do it pretty much every cycle to mess up the girls. But that's what's so wrong. The show doesn't do it for any other reason than to mess them up! Back when ANTM first aired, I was convinced that this was how the industry worked, and watching your videos now is like therapy for my soul 💜
At least they could have done it later in the show when the girls have some experience. Most of these girls have never modelled and the first thing they where expected to do was to pose nude, so incredibly cruel. It was just done for the reality show.
It’s not even how the industry worked then. They didn’t require nudity; this show just conditioned people to believe that; myself included. Ken Mock and the production team were all so creepy and shady.
When I was younger I was coerced by a photographer...in the name of "building self-confidence". Now, I realise he was just a creep. Now, I would be out of there immediately. I regret that shoot.😞
This is actually crazy. In the Polish edition of this show, they finally changed the approach (after 13 seasons) - the models actually had a choice as to whether or not they wanted to pose nude. They could choose to wear a bikini or lingerie or be naked. There was also a consultant on the set so they could talk about this decision. And the atmosphere turned out so nice and welcoming that some models changed their minds during the photoshoot and decided to remove what they were wearing when they discovered they were comfortable doing it.
How do these grown men (and women like Tyra) not feel gross forcing these women, some who barely 18, to pose nude? If you’re someone like Melrose who’s 23 (which is still young but at least she is a few years into her 20s) and she’s confident doing it, that’s great.. but no one should be forced. No one should be forced no matter their age.. but a barely adult 18 year old is crazy. It feels predatory and like coercion to me.
I love your reactions and input about how the industry actually is. I remember when I was growing up watching the series as it was coming out that my mindset at this season was "The girls should be expecting a nude photo shoot. Every season has one, they signed up for this show." But I know way better now. Not all of them have access to television and/or even knew about the show before being on it. And "No" is a full sentence. People can change their mind and take back their consent, especially when it is about their bodies.
I’m sure like a lot of girls I wanted to be in this show so bad when I was a teen. But now looking back on it it’s really sad how they treated the girls. And most of the girls had a hard time getting a career after this from what I’ve heard
Tyra made this show to be a bully and I'm so sad for myself and all the other girls from my generation that fell for the madness. Thank you for providing this healing and informative content. ❤
Notice AGAIN what Mr. Jay says, when they get to Amanda's photo. They LIKE her photo and he says "I think SHE would be COMFORTABLE to work with" because she didn't give them a big fuss about being nude....whereas, Ginger did and that's why he said "no, she is too resistant and uncooperative". And honestly, in my humble opinion, Ginger's photo was one of the best in the bunch. Certainly better than Caridees, who just looked like an ugly hank of hair was tumbled over her face....Ginger gave a beautiful photo, even though she only took two frames. Shouldn't THAT say "she has morals and integrity as a model, but can still get a GOOD picture, even with only a limited number of shots? What is it Tyra always says...time is money? If it came down to choosing between the two, I would choose Ginger. It would NOT have been worth it to me, to do a nude photo, with NO GUARANTEE that I would even be in the house, let alone eliminated. And they can't even use these photos for their portfolio, to show other agencies? Absolutely not. I would have said "No thank you. I will find a better place that can show my talent as a model, where I can have both class AND integrity."
Yes you’re reacting to the shoot i thought you should watch! Now that you pointed out how some of the girls are just barely 18 I’m noticing a lot of the girls are that age. Makes the producers of the show seem pretty pervy to me 🤷🏻♀️
@@michelledawn7446she did not defend anything, she stated a fact and I’ll repeat it: 18 is the legal age of majority in the US. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s barely an adult…it’s the law. If an 18 year old gets arrested, the police view and treat them as an adult, even if it’s their 18th birthday. If you really want to get triggered, it’s even lower in other parts of the world
Whats really crazy is that None of the women from any season of this show are successful today. None of the winners. It really makes you wonder what exactly this show was supposed to be for….. especially with all the inappropriate situations they were put through….
so backstory: This show aired after an episode of Tyra's talk show which was in season 1. The episode on The Tyra show was both the dangers of modeling and tricked women into posing nude for a fake modeling agency with hidden cameras and Tyra was supposed to "save them." How do I know? I was paid to be the fake agent unknowingly what was actually happening and I was sick to my stomach for tricking the girls for her talk show for weeks and then when it aired before this episode I was appalled.
Unstable runway photoshoot, Freezing swimming pool photoshoot and taking photoshoot with real bull were all done this cycle, so it is make sense producers need to looking for the no boundary ones.
The hilarious thing about this is, Tyra doesn't pose nude and she told the conservative girl who only took two frames that she should not have done it.
It's wild that this was considered okay and sold as "standard modeling practices." In what world could any job do this to you? Watching a naked teen up there crying, shaking, and being coerced into a photoshoot looked like watching a CSI episode. 😬 The lack of informed consent collected prior is awful. It's horrendous for anyone, but who knows if any of these girls have trauma, etc. It's also super discriminatory to many cultures and religions.
And both, Becky and Ginger, didn’t even make the final cut This is reality TV, not a real modeling competition. You can’t look at this like that, even though they wanted to sell the show like that… This show was full of abuse and bs
Sometimes people in these comments are like, "It's a TV show, of course it's extra dramatic" but there was no need for any of this. They didn't need to do this to these girls.
@@6thgraderfriends I‘m not justifying anything. I’m just saying that you really cannot look at this from a modeling point of view. I hear you…it’s just so sad that they really sold these girls a dream. “In the modeling world you have to ____” smh especially since Tyra comes from that world, it’s even more messed up that she went along with the lies
Jessica, have you ever reached out to any of the photographers on-set to interview their experience? I know we hear a lot from the models now but I'm sure the photographers have similar feelings. Imagine the contracts they signed too... might be an interesting take. Love your vids as always
I had seen reruns of ANTM, but never the nude photo shoot. I got to see this episode when it premiered. This was the episode where I stopped watching ANTM. Changed the channel after it ended. I told my mom about this I was so confused. I told her about the entire episode. Then said, "On The Tyra Show, Tyra Banks was looking at modeling scams. Tyra said that models have to put what they will or won't do in their contract. She never does nudity, she wants to have something in front of her body. That's BS that the women on the show were told they could be nude or wear a drape, but they have to pose nude or they may get kicked off the show. I'm not watching that reality show again." My mom responded, "Sounds like BS to me too. Sounds pretty stupid of the show as well". Love you Mom. You help me put so much into perspective when BS is in the air.
What I would want to know, where are all the raws of this photoshoot? How do you know where they ended up? How do you know they weren’t leaked by anyone on set? Or anyone with any access to them in any way? For all they know multiple nudes of them may have been sold.
Whether it's ANTM or GNTM (Germany), these nude shoots and also the half-naked couple shoots with a male model are just wrong on so many levels. And they create a totally distorted image of the modeling world and of the shoots.
Oh my God, yes, I watched the 1st season of GNTM and I was shocked that they made girls who were just 16 pose first in lingerie and then naked 😱 at least the naked photoshoot seemed to be in a more private setting with a female crew, but still sooooo messed up
What bothers me is when every time a girl stepped up and spoke up about an issue that she had with either cutting her hair or being suspended in the air with a tight rope wrapped around her waist.. that model was always put on a guilt trip of if you don’t do this then you will go home .. at least she spoke up and voiced her opinion… but unfortunately that wasn’t good enough for them ..
ANTM cycle 7 was the cycle the production and Tyra Banks really put some audacity for every single photoshoot ideas. Nude photoshoot without telling from beginning then put the girls on a big platform on a top of building for an exposure, Diva treatment for Melrose then gaslight her for being Diva, the problematic model stereotype photoshoot, the unstable runaway photoshoot, the freaky circus photoshoot, the gaslight of Eugena for having dead eyes looking on photoshoot because Eugena looks like Naomi Campbell so Tyra can do whatever she wants to humble Eugena, the audacity of male model who doesn't like Jaeda and make Jaeda to kiss that male model, the using Catalan Spanish language for a perfume / deodorant commercial, the dangerous bullfighting photoshoot, the floating on cold water photoshoot that caused hypothermia on Caridee, the audacity of giving Jaeda a pixie cut hairstyle because Tyra Banks doesn't like pageant girls so she want to ruin the Jaeda's confidence by giving her short hairtcut. So much audacity in cycle 7.
at least the photgrapher was trying to work with her so she could have photos you know? he wasnt pushy or guilting her just in the little exchange at 12:23 he just wanted to try and help her feel better.
That’s sickening. Some of the girls are barely 18! It’s got that Ick factor to it! I can’t believe they would make them do a nude photo shoot on the FIRST DAY! Appalling!
The one thing I think gets forgotten is this is a reality tv competition, the girls there were warned about what they could be facing and signed up for it. The later seasons definitely knew what they were going to put up with.
If I were either of the girls that was first not ok with this...I would have filed this to the police. The evidence is that they did not know this would be a nude photo shoot and I doubt that the official contract that they signed to be a part of the show ever stated "Would you be ok with full frontal nudity?" Because if that contract DID state that...then I doubt Becky and Ginger would have signed it in the first place! I hope the creators of the show will be punished one day!
People will make the excuse that it was the times. Even back then, they would get consent first for a nude shoot, unless you were like Terry Richardson or something, and he faced legal repercussions for his impromptu racey “photoshoots” this show was so creepy
I thought these were commonplace theories about ANTM. Who are the people who do not believe Jess/this popular view? ps. I love that you're sticking up for their boundaries, I wish I heard more of this perspective in the late noughties/early tens when I was working in media as a young women, urgh
Yah *Caridee* won this cycle & *Jaslene* came back & won *Cycle 8* There were quite a few girls that tried out multiple times & eventually got on the show 🤷🏼♂️
I am not by any means justifying what the production did there, but I've always wondered why so many girls agree to take part in the competition and then act surprised and devastated when they are asked to pose naked or cut their hair short. Like, come on, every season has a nude photoshoot of some kind (or close to that) and makeovers. If you are not ready for this, why bother coming at all? As mean as Jaslene might sound here, she's got a point, too - if you want to be a contestant of this particular competition you gotta be prepared to do this controversial stuff. If you know you'll have a breakdown if they make you bald - don't send your application.
Exactly my thoughts! Especially that this is season 7, so I’m sure the girls watched at least one season of this competition and was aware that there will be a nude photoshoot or a makeover. I understand the shock in the very first seasons, where no one really knew what to expect, but here? Come on.
They were always trying to get these girls to pose nude and then shaming them when they didn’t want to do it. All the way back to cycle 1. It’s really disgusting.
Melrose deserves a side eye, bombastically! Taking smack about other girls feeling uncomfortable pursuing nude... But didn't she have issues in lingerie? That those parts of her are meant for future husband??? Everyone has the right to change their mind, withdrawal their consent, for ANY reason, at ANY time! Just blows for how she acted towards others from the jump. 🤯😱🤯
@@TheNocturnalpheonix lol that’s was Shannon, but now that you mentioned it, Shannon and Melrose do kinda look alike. I can see someone getting them mixed up
I wonder if the contract they signed to be in the show mentioned the possibility of being shot nude. Jaslene came back the next season and made it in the house.
Legally, I imagine they had to. But a lot of people don't read contracts, or if they do, they don't understand the legal jargon - especially young people who are literally just out of high school.
It's slipped into the application form, which is pages long. There's a single line with a checkbox that said something like 'applicant consents to nudity if required'. Or there was when I filled out the application, many many years ago.
21:21 - Tyra looking like the Top Model demon ready to suck the life and souls out of these girls and replace them with the production chosen cookie cutter package they want to portay each of them as 👹
I hate that they put the girls in the position where they felt like they couldn't say no to anything. They *could* but if they did they knew they would be facing elimination. This was hard to watch them justify it when some of them were SUPER uncomfortable. I hope that this is a moment that Ginger doesn't still think about 😥
Well it looks like my mini-essay is getting pushed to the bottom. Here's the summary: Per your point at 8:12, unfortunately, yes these girls were told, should have been expecting it, and yes they did legally give consent. The form they filled out in that time period in order to audition does state that there was going to be at least one nude shoot, and by signing that document you agreed that you not only read and understood but were willing to do it. However, even with that consent, it certainly does not excuse ANTMs exploitation and inexcusable behavior.
And Caridee almost gets hypothermia in one shoot. Did you cover that one already? And this is the season where they cut Jaeda’s hair super short and make her cry.
Omg yes! And at judging they were like “it’s your responsibility to tell us you’re uncomfortable before it gets to that point.” Even though every other time a model has expressed she’s in physical discomfort or pain during a shoot, they’ve said “well you just need to push through it.”
I remember this episode so vividly. I was SHOCKED the moment I learned they made them all pose with no clothes on. At such a young age. Also how crazy is it they made some of them technically do it for no reason!!!
This is very informative and I agree their needs and should be boundaries. I was wondering if the model signed their rights away, did they agree to whatever type of shoot when the signed contracts? Some people don't read contracts for whatever reason.
This is so disgusting & disturbing. The crazy part is in the real world of modeling most models would never have to pose nude if they didn't want to or were fashion models. Smh. So whats the point, to test them & see who you can control & brainwash.
Full Respect to every girl who said "NO" and stood their ground. Even they way they were holding this over them, is wrong. I'm sorry some of these very young women had to go through this.
I just saw an episode in cycle 8 where they had the girls do aboriginal dances to represent their traumatic pasts. And almost every girl had an extremely tragic back story.
We all were brainwashed into thinking this level of f abuse is the norm, and we must follow the crowd. Thank you for helping me realise this is not OK. After watching your channel my perspective shifted.
I don't see the controversy, yes they are 18 and I will add, of consenting age. Secondly, they knew what they were getting into signing up for this show and I'm sure what content they will encounter with the long history of this show. Being surprised to pose nude is NOTHING New with ANTM. To be surprised is basically burying your head in the sand. If you don't want to do it you shouldn't have signed up given all known contractual parameters when being selected for the show. All this is is just drama and a manufactured commentary for views on all parties.
I remember when I saw this episode on TV back In the days, I was like 10 years old and I was quite scared by the idea that I would have to undress if I want to become a model which it was my dream.
They're literally pressuring them to get naked in front of them. Isn't that illegal? Sexual something? (being naked isn't inherently sexual, but for some of these girls it is sexual). Sexual coercion?
Keep in mind, this was photo shoot was only to choose the official contestants 😔 I never liked how they surprise the models with these n*des photos, and they didn’t even bother to offer other options and alternatives…

You know what I hear when Jay says, "You know it's going to affect your standing in the competition."? I hear, "You wanna be a star, don't you? Then take off your clothes!"
This 💯💯💯
Exactly.
Exactly!! That was a THREAT
„Without the physical examination you cant be part of the camp“ said once a doctor to me and he pulled my slip as I was lying down. I was only 15 years old back then.
And of course having a gay man being the one saying it makes it all ok as well.
They just get off on humiliating the girls and making them uncomfortable. It’s not okay and I never wanted to do it because it just feels like hazing.
", you'd call the cops IMMEDIATELY !!
conditioning? or Grooming?
@healthy2202 Well I did say both.
I appreciate Jaeda for covering up Ginger during the shoot, and Evita for calling the BS.
The sad thing is, 10 years ago I applied for the show. And the application was lengthy and looong. And I remember pausing at the question for consent for being nude. Me being young and naive I just rushed through the paperwork to submit it in time. I’m glad I didn’t get picked smh
"How Did ANTM Get Away With This?"
this can describe almost every episode
I wish someone used the format of a modelling competition but instead of making the models uncomfortable and talking pictures that they will never use. Instead, they should try to help the models build up their portfolio and grow their modelling skills. It will be very healing and interesting to watch!
You should try and find the latest seasons of Hollands Next Topmodel. They're really good, positive and inclusive. Yolanda Hadid is a judge.
@@manonvo8615 thank you for the recommendation!
No it doesn't.. it sounds incredibly boring lol
@@jadebel7006if u are interested in actual modeling it should be boring..
Absolutely disgusting and it is sad that she got away with it, totally unfair.
the contracts/NDA's every Reality Show contestant has to sign is in the 100s of pages, and those contracts/NDA's give the creators/producers full control over every aspect of the show. I would strongly argue this is bullying
Friendly reminder that Tyra has never posed nude. NEVER. She “simulates” nude but has never model nude like these girls.
I don’t understand this.
It's disgusting that Tyra would allow young models to be subjected to this.
You know she never done it herself. She refuses to do a nude photosoot and allways have. She did fake one with small bikinis taken away after
I’m so glad the comments section passes the vibe check. ☺️❤️
I love Ginger for that, standing up for her principles 🙌
"Be ready to take your clothes off when asked to."
"Be ready to do whatever the client wants you to for the shoot."
"Work through the pain."
"Don't talk back to the photographer."
"No, you can't talk to your family for more than 15 minutes today because we have a lot to film."
What does this sound like...?
All of Hollywood...
a cult 😒
Ken Mock and the production team were all so creepy and shady.
it might be a better idea if it was optional to be nude. So the people who wanted to could but other options for people who didnt
This is season 7. Caridee wins. Jaslene didn’t pass a screening test because she was in an abusive relationship and she goes back and wins season 8.
When I was younger I was coerced by a photographer...in the name of "building self-confidence". Now, I realise he was just a creep. Now, I would be out of there immediately. I regret that shoot.😞
That's disgusting. I'm sorry that happened to you.
I hope you don't blame yourself for any of it sis, you're not to blame in the slightest
Always cringe-worthy watching men criticize women for their morals, their looks and health care choices!
It was a team full of creeps, abusive creeps. Ugh.
All of Hollywood is....
No it wasn't. These decisions are made by producers based on the drama it creates which brings in viewers .. the same audience commenting here
This is why as a Photographer I hate AMTM, treat models with respect and always listen to them. 😡
Girl, your theories are always true, that's why we keep watching. Keep doing those casting episodes, you have soo many more to go through :)
As always you are spot on about this hideous show. Thank you for your videos Jessica 🙏
From the perspective of what's currently being exposed in the entertainment industry, this looks like grooming.
I had to skip through the photo shoot. It's sad these ladies had to go through this. So glad you called them out! 💁🏽
Heaven forbid these girls have convictions that they have the resolve to stand up for in the face of intimidation. Kudos to them.
The way Mr j say it "she is comfortable to work with", I think what he really meant is she is easier to manipulate. these disgusting creeps

Is a 2024 18 year old different from a 1950 18 year old as far as emotional maturity? Absolutely. If a 50 year man wants to date an 18 year old, he can with no legal consequences.

Plenty of women from the show were successful. They just weren't made successful by the show.
Your theory is 100% exactly right.
What's up with those Spirit Halloween wigs?... they did them dirty
so backstory: This show aired after an episode of Tyra's talk show which was in season 1.
The lack of informed consent collected prior is awful. It's horrendous for anyone, but who knows if any of these girls have trauma, etc. It's also super discriminatory to many cultures and religions.
I just realized Brooke was still in high school when this was filmed 😳
And both, Becky and Ginger, didn’t even make the final cut
This is reality TV, not a real modeling competition.
Of course you can pause the screen every minute and find 10 things to criticise if you do so. Obv the show was full of bs and scandals, the treatment of the girls was horrendous
I'm not watching that reality show again."
My mom responded, "Sounds like BS to me too.
If you are surprised by them being 18 in other international next top model shows like GNTM there are girls underage that had to pose nude.
I hope more people speak up on how they were actually treated behind the scenes 🤞
*This is season 7 and won CareDee, in season 8 won Jaslene.*
Appalling!
The first shoot and they have these women pose nude? That is so awful! This isn’t playboy, it’s supposed to be a model competition!
Yeah. She was at least low-key a pick-me...
Are you thinking of Shannon?
That was Shannon, not Melrose
Thank you for this video. All ur videos. You are exactly what our girls need to hear. (Even us older girls who grew up with this bs!)
this is so icky. who knows how many people working for this show have access to the photos and what they do with them 😕
21:21 - Tyra looking like the Top Model demon ready to suck the life and souls out of these girls and replace them with the production chosen cookie cutter package they want to portay each of them as 👹
I hate that they put the girls in the position where they felt like they couldn't say no to anything. They *could* but if they did they knew they would be facing elimination. This was hard to watch them justify it when some of them were SUPER uncomfortable. I hope that this is a moment that Ginger doesn't still think about 😥
The power dynamic makes this so sick 💔
Well it looks like my mini-essay is getting pushed to the bottom. Here's the summary:
Per your point at 8:12, unfortunately, yes these girls were told, should have been expecting it, and yes they did legally give consent.
The the girl who got literal frostbite from holding ice cream 🤦🏼♀️
Jaslene came back the next season..this was Caridee's season
Full Respect to every girl who said "NO" and stood their ground. Even they way they were holding this over them, is wrong. I'm sorry some of these very young women had to go through this.
I just saw an episode in cycle 8 where they had the girls do aboriginal dances to represent their traumatic pasts. And almost every girl had an extremely tragic back story.
We all were brainwashed into thinking this level of f abuse is the norm, and we must follow the crowd.
Thank you for helping me realise this is not OK. After watching your channel my perspective shifted.
Was diddy involved in this episode 😭 I see the usage of baby oil. That era of tv was insanity
Why did they need to be nude though..they could have skin tone undies and bra on .. at the least
Ive seen so many of your videos reviewing antm but im still always so blown away at how mean tyra and the other judges are. Theyre just bullies and they want to manipulate young vulnerable women. It's insane how obvious it is in retrospect but growing up as a kid i would watch this and believe them
I am even more impressed by Ginger for how - once she was talked into doing it - she still knew her limits and decided to call an end to the shoot when she felt she was done. That takes some balls.
19:42 all these photos of these naked girls bodies like who kept these photos?! It’s insane
