    Aloha Remi,
    I was there in mid-December, and I, too, thought The Santa Rave at Canal City was awesome. The day we went, a K-pop group, Seventeen, had a show synced up to the fountains and the 3D Mapping. Seeing that and a few thousand kids singing and screaming was pretty awesome, too. Mahalo for sharing love your videos and heading back to Fukuoka in two months super excited. 🤙🏽

    Dear Remi,
    I recently stumbled upon your travel vlog about Fukuoka, Japan, and was immediately drawn to it. As someone who is planning a trip to Fukuoka, I found your video incredibly helpful and informative.
    What struck me the most was the emotional connection you had with the city, given that you were born there and raised in Los Angeles. I could tell how much wonder and curiosity you felt while exploring your birthplace, and I can only imagine how different your life might have been if you had grown up there.
    As someone who has also been away from my home country (Sweden) for many years, I can relate to the strong emotional feelings you experienced while visiting Fukuoka. There's something about returning to a place that holds so many memories and connections that can be overwhelming, but also incredibly fulfilling.
    Thank you for sharing your experiences and insights about Fukuoka. Your vlog has given me even more reasons to look forward to my trip, and I can't wait to explore all the wonderful things that this city has to offer.
    Best regards,
    Robert

      If you haven't been to Fukuoka yet, I can also recommend Ohorikoen (park in Fukuoka) and to visit one of the islands or peninsulas in the bay, like Uminonakamichi and Nokonoshima. Also, there are so many things to see in all of Kyushu so I can highly recommend a trip around the island.

      @@minister.20 I'm sorry I can't help you with budgeting since it depends a lot on what you want, for example if you want fine restaurant dining or a 7 Eleven dinner. Also, I haven't been to Japan in about 7 years now and a lot has happened to the economy since then.
      But for travel ideas, what are you interested in? History, art, nature, food? Any prefectures or cities you already have in mind?

      hi!! This video was filmed the first week of December. It was getting colder but no where near close to snowing. October and November will be slightly warmer + you'll get to see the fall foliage colors! December you get all the winter illuminations and in my opinion, Hakata Station has the best out of other stations I've been to during the winter time. I hope this helps!

    Your video was by far the most helpful I've seen. We're going next week (from Hawaii). It will be raining, and will have one free day. Did you prefer/recommend Nanzoin or Dazaifu if we could only choose one? Or another day trip perhaps that won't be too difficult if it's raining?

      I love both options (& I've been to both in rainy weather!). Nanzoin was magical but Dazaifu has more to do in the surrounding area and is a bit more lively with lots of street food options. lol i'm not sure that helped but honestly you can't go wrong either way! I hope you have an amazing time on your trip :)

    I've set my sight on Fukuoka for my next big trip. I wonder tho, I know that Tokyo is very international orientated.

    • @richardkish1782
      @richardkish1782 ปีที่แล้ว

      My advice to you is to talk to the hotel front desk staff. You will find people who can speak English but of course you can’t figure this out without first interacting with people. People who want to speak English will approach you. That’s been my experience.

    • @remishimazu
      @remishimazu  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm learning Japanese now but definitely didn't know much my first trips to Fukuoka and we were okay! I recommend learning basic travel phrases like (yes, no, where's the bathroom?, do you have an english menu?, etc.) but you should be ok even if don't speak Japanese. Google Translate is my go-to whenever I need help reading Japanese signs or characters. Sometimes I even type in my question and show them the translation on my phone, and that usually helps! I hope this was helpful and that you're able to make it out to Fukuoka. I really love it out there!
