Love this story! Yuki-onna is captivated by the young man but it's a shame she has to kill the old man! She has a footing in the real world and the spirit world, and it is this duality that means she can never find happiness in either world. But, she spares the life of Minokichi because of their children. This is the best of the stories so far..............and it certainly helps my learning of Japanese.

Yes, I've only read a couple - the other one was about a one-inch tall boy - isunboushi (一寸法師). But this one was a little easier as far as kanji goes.
