    Xotoes from xosocks are unreal. Very expensive but ive by far the best constructed sock I've ever worn.
    The difference in build quality and feel between Injiji and xotoes is night and day. All my injijis have holes and are thin in places. Xotoes feel like new after a year.
    They also have little holes in between your toes so they can breathe.

      Xotoes are very highly engineered. I spent about 40 minutes chatting with the guy who owns the patent on the yarn for those. They’ll be featured in the next sock video next weekend

      that is exactly what I need! I can't wear wool. I wear undyed 100% organic cotton socks (from SOSfromTexas) and they are my and my husbnd's favorites. We have lots of other brands, most of them more expensive, but they are not toe socks. Maybe I have to give up on finding the perfect toes socks.

    Re: those first ones (Peluva); if they're Coolmax, that's polyester. And the 'eco-sourced' thing later was probably about their use of post-consumer recycled polyester for about 50%.
    For me as well, it would be the Creepers; for the Merino, Baby! If I was paying proper attention, none of the others were any part Merino.
    Thanks for doing this, guys.

    I swear by Injinji. I had an issue with my feet and after surgery to correct the issue I started wearing toe socks exclusively. I wear them all day every day at work. I think I purchased 5 pairs about 5 years ago and they are still just as good as when I purchased them. Since then I have purchased more for wearing with hiking boots, longer ones to add a bit of compression for air travel, and some mid crew for use with my cycling shoes.

      I had that happen the very first time I put on one of my pairs. It actually doesn't bother me, they're still great socks and it can easily be fixed. I wear mine all the time. Also the blue special edition socks that were just released are the first to be made with a stronger material (which nevertheless feels the same), and that material is coming (or has come by now) to all their socks.

    Hi
    Which one is good for cold winter?

    • @sonsofsever
      @sonsofsever  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Mid-weight injinji is a thicker merino wool that would be ok, the Creepers are also merino wool but aren't as thick as the injinji. Neither are what you would consider a "thermal sock" so I wouldn't rely on them for skiing all day, but those are what I'm planning to wear for winter!

I have to see how much I get out of them. They're more confy than regular cotton polo socks. There's something to this mix that makes them feel great.

    Great review fellas! Based on the 'American Fork' thing at the end there, I might actually see you in our Utah mountains :)
    Surprising that the Creepers material info came from their site when you spoke with their one man band though :/
    The material is basically my only interest in this department as I prioritize as much cotton in my socks/toesocks as i can get. Call me what you will, but synthetic material is made of trash and i dont want it touching me. Due to this, i dont wear the injinji that i had bought some time ago (turns out coolmax is trash polyester made by the crooks from dupont. talk about a company fucking up a water table, amirite?!) anyway, due to this, i only wear my 85% cotton (or so) toe socks (Meaiguo) as well as regular socks when i absolutely must. The rest of the time i wear nothing, or my xero diy's. I do appreciate your deep dive into this area, which saves me from scouring amazon reviews because i would like to check out some more cotton heavy toe socks. Keep it up! :)
