Thank you Sarah for sharing! I've tried washing out the nibs but didn't think of using soapy water, I was just using water. I will try it next time.
Do you have any advice on when the 3.0 mm nibs don't really seem to let ink out? Instead, the ink comes out of the edges as if it's leaking, and doesn't permeate the actual felt nib.

Sounds like this needs more activating to pull the ink through the nib. This may happen if it is clogged too so try cleaning them and starting again!

How long do you have to wait before putting the washed nib back in the pen? Can you put a washed nib on a different pen?

I would dry them off with a bit of paper towel and they're good to go. Yes you can switch them to other pens!

Thank you, very helpful. I struggle with my 0.7 nibs, all the issues you mention in this video! Will try your solutions 👌🏻❤️

I've had issues with the 0.7nibs, over time it's inevitable they'll get clogged I've tried all these techniques, plus some. Even when I have success the pen is never the same. Thankfully A&O included extra nibs with every set, so I've been able to replace nibs. I'll inevitably run out, by that point I'm hoping I can buy replacements from A&O, Bet they sell something similar on Amazon but judging from the quality of past purchases, I doubt they'll work as well as A&O)
Edit: When the actual paint seems to be lumpy or just not acting right despite decent flow, I've let them sit in warm water, not submerging the cap but keeping lid on tightly just in case. Don't use hot water, luke warm. After a few minutes shake that pen til your arm hurts. Sometimes it helps.

One of my new pens started leaking a lot when I was activating it. I tried pushing down of the nib but the tip fell straight through into the barrel. I tried to put a new nib on and the same happened. Is there a way to fix this?

It sounds like there may be trapped air in the barrel. You can hold the pen nib up and depress the nib (the top of the pen lid would work) to let out the air. Some more ink may come out. After that it shouldn't leak! If you continue to have problems reach out to hello@archerandolive.com and we can help more 💛
