「ラスタンサーガII」は1988年にタイトーから発売されたアクションゲームです。
前作「ラスタンサーガ」の前日譚となります。神聖な地ラスタニアを救った主人公がラスタンと呼ばれるようになるまでの物語です。
様々な武器や魔法のアイテムを手に入れて邪悪な族と戦い、神殿スカイスクレイパーを守りましょう。
「アーケードアーカイブス」シリーズは、アーケードゲームの名作を忠実に再現することをコンセプトに開発をしています。
ゲームの難易度などの様々なゲーム設定を変更したり、当時のブラウン管テレビの雰囲気を再現することもできます。またオンラインランキングで世界中のプレイヤーとスコアを競ったりすることもできます。

Released in March of 1989 (despite the in-game copyright of 1988) on the Taito System B Hardware which also runs Master of Weapon, Violence Fight, Puzzle Bobble (the original Taito version and not the later version that was released for the Neo-Geo hardware), and Rambo III. Rastan Saga II is the sequel to the 1987 hack and slash starring Taito's barbarian warrior.
Interestingly enough, while it is billed as the sequel to Rastan Saga, this game is actually a prelude to the events of the first game which tells the story of how Rastan earned his name and reputation by saving the sacred land of Rastania from an evil cult who intends to invade the Skyscraper temple in order to enact their plan to plunge the world in eternal darkness.
During his quest, Rastan begins his battle with a sword and shield, but along the way, he can also obtain weapons such as a longer sword and iron claws.
In addition to the weapons, Rastan can also obtain various crests which enhance his attacks by giving him the ability to cast fireballs and lightning attacks, along with other items which serve as temporary shields, restore his life and reduces damage.
This installment also marks the first time in the Rastan Saga trilogy that allows for 2 players to play cooperatively.
Port wise, Rastan Saga did get ports for the PC Engine and Sega Mega Drive in 1990. Rastan Saga II would later be ported to the American Sega Genesis a year later.
