Christopher Dresser's work is highly sought after. Though he lived in the late 19th century, his designs were almost Art Deco-like. I've seen several of his pieces on 'Antiques Road Trip', and they usually do very well at auction.
I see a date of 133? on the brooch, which is in the Muslim calendar and would be 1952-1962-ish And the Star of David is also the symbol of Morocco, I have a silver coin from that same time and place that looks like the brooch's cousin.

At 9:35 it almost looks like a bat box with those 2 rods across the top on the inside.
Bat boxes need a bigger opening than that, though.

I thought that too except the opening is too narrow and bat boxes are usually vented. I guess you remove the combs through the open base.
