I don't know how this managed to go so wrong for you. I did it myself today for the first time---took about 15 minutes, and the only that that broke was the brittle press-in plastic clip that holds the bumper cover to the fender (the rest came out fine)

Wow! That's awesome! I'm glad it went so smoothly. Yah, I've changed both of those light bulbs and it has always been a huge pain and taken forever. Maybe I'll call you to do the next one. LOL!

Not a fan of this video presentation. I'm a DIYer with an '08 Yaris and today is the third time I've replaced the bulbs. I always replace both at the same time even though only one was out. We all know why, right? I actually lower the bumper and pull the entire head lamp out. There are only 3 screws securing each lamp, 1 pop clip on each side bumper and 5 pop clips attaching it to the main frame. I remove these and the bumper lowers beautifully. I can then remove the head lamp, turn it over, pull the connector off, remove the rubber and attach the new bulb. It took about 5 minutes to replace both bulbs and about the same time to reattach the bumper. This has always worked well for me on all 3 of my vehicles. Not bad for a chick, eh?

you dont need to unbolt anything to change bulb.if you are changing bulb on road will you also remove battery?i dont think so

Actually, for the 2008 Yaris you do need to "unbolt" some things. You need to remove the five plastic push clips that hold on the top of the bumper cover, pull the bumper cover off the fenders at the side, and unbolt the two headlight screws to tilt up the headlight assembly. It's impossible to change a 2008 Yaris bulb without doing so, so you obviously don't know what you are talking about and just trolling.

This is the totally incorrect way to change a 2008 Yaris headlight bulb. It's an eight minute job. Remove the five plastic push clips that hold on the top of the bumper cover, pull the bumper cover off the fenders at the side by pulling straight out, and unbolt the two headlight screws to tilt up the headlight assembly. No need to remove any components in the engine bay and certainly not the battery and auxiliary fuse box. Slow down and think through the project before starting.

It is the official way that’s described in the owner’s manual, at least the one I have. It says to unplug it, remove to rubber, unclip it, and then pull the bulb out. Then put the new one. It’s not entirely correct since it doesn’t say to remove anything else, and this video has removing other parts, but it also doesn’t say to remove the cover.

My ex did it this way. I would like to do it myself. What tools do you need to remove clips and bolts, please?

This is an awful video. This is a ten minute job per side and if you’re removing the fuse box and battery you’re doing it wrong. Watching this was a complete waste of time

Sorry, Andy! Yah, if there's a better way, I need to learn it because, both times I did this, it was a huge pain!

I'm just asking myself how can an engineer invent such a useless solution to change a bulb!!!!!
