Relearning Sonic Smackdown: Arcade Mode

After a long hiatus, I've returned to Sonic Smackdown just in time for updates. And apparently a secret boss at the end that I didn't know was there.

Man, you really are rusty...haha. Awesome gameplay, tho. Is Sonic's moveset a mix between his smash moveset...and some other character that isn't a Sonic character? If so, who is it?
