This is honestly one of my favorite productions of Sweeney Todd!!! The interactions between all the characters sold me. They really upped the humor, too, which I always appreciate!
The guy describing in detail how he wanted his shave to be is such a funny bit.
The amount of money I would pay for a full recording... Brian Stokes Mitchell is an amazing Sweeney Todd.
I agree! I do have the full recording, but in caution I've decided not to upload it... There are a few clips of him if you just search for them here on YT. Is there a scene/number you want to see specifically? I could upload it
@@holly9096 hi, could you, please, upload Johanna Mea Culpa from this version?
@@holly9096omg did you end up doing this???
This has got to be my favorite part of this show. And it's SUCH a great show. "Mischief, mischief!"
I also agree with the thing about upping the humor in the description. I always like productions of Sweeney Todd that are more “campy” than actually trying to be scary
Oh man I just discovered this production and it's amazing!
Fav song from the show amen
This guy at the beginning is blowing me away omg
Whats up with the fuckin mutton chops though
DAMN
This guy is straight out of a damn italian opera
Shes pretty for a beggar woman but honestly her face isnt even that messy or obscured how would he not recognize his wife
This is one of the best versions of this song, and I’m glad that you have a video of just this part by itself and I don’t have to keep scrolling through the video of the whole thing! Thanks
Such an underrated cast. Glad to have made things easier for you!
@@holly9096 is there a full version of these? I always wanted to experience a full on theatre.
how id love to see it fully… :(
Hi, I saw this production in 2002! I have videos to trade for the full one of this. The current Sweeney with Josh Groban? Something else…? :) Let me know!
Is that Hugh Panaro as Anthony? (The Longest-Term Phantom of All?)
Yes!
George Hearn can rest easy. He is still King Sweeney
No I'm afraid that was Len.
