I saw this band in 2006 at the age of 13 at a local show on the Central Coast of NSW when KWAS had just come out and it was my first taste of heavy music. This show had at most 50 people there and now they're playing to 50,000 people at festivals. Incredible.
There were 80,000 at this concert, I was there and it blew me away how many people came to see them, they almost litteraly destroyed one of the big purple tents in 2011, pure carnage. They were also very good at With Full Force last year, saw them twice that festival season.
8 years later and I deeply miss this Parkway Drive, so heavy, fast, and intense. Ire was the start, but the last album just didn't do it for me. I wish they'd mix up their live sets a little more, I don't mind the new songs but they could do their longtime fans some service and play the bangers that got them started, rather than playing an IRE and Reverence driven show.
I will forever be proud to be part of the crowd that booed falling in reverse off the stage so that I could hear these guys kickass on stage at warped tour
I know right. I was there but i wear glasses and without my friends nearby i can't get into the moshpit or my glasses will be smashed into pieces. I should get some lenses ..
there was a bigger one on the other side .. i just don't understand why they have a circlepit over there .. i think they were afraid to join the big one :p
Kinda sad to see how the crowd gets pictured in this vid. I've been to GMM for 3 years now and still is the best fucking festival I've ever been to. I was in the crowd at this very show and trust me, it was way better then the vid show you. Kudo's to people who are actually listening instead of bashing about stuff they don't know shit about.
I realise that if you scream the right way that it won't damage your vocal cords as badly, but singing this entire set still seems like it would be brutal >.
For those who are saying that the crowd was weak... There were tens of tousands of people out there!! It's Graspop (on of the biggest metalfestivals in the world), so lots of people came to watch them because they could... The true fans were in the front and they were giving all they had... I know, I was there!! The front part was a sick crowd, with heavy pits and amIt was an amzing show!
It's really awesome to see old guys in the crowd rocking out to this music. They don't feel the need to put down newer metal bands like a lot of the younger adults out there. Good music is good music. They know whats up.
+Wes Van Bavel The main thing people simply need to realize is to enjoy the music, no matter what age of either the person or the music, the important thing is to enjoy it.
Matthew Jones During that gig I never punched anyone straight in the face. Really, but if you're doing some moves & anybody get a fist nearby their head/body they all lose their fucking minds. If you hit me, I'll hit ya back, some people should start to learn which shows they're attending... This year they're back!! Partyhard :D
+Hoi-Yi Ho GMM 2015 was on point and Parkway was did the best performance among all those metalcore bands! Can't wait to see them in 20 days in Hamburg and then Brussels and Tilburg! I hope they'll play at GMM 2017! :3
I'm 36 and I thought I had outgrown being "into" in a band and had been bummed out by that for years. I just discovered these guys last week and have spent hours watching their videos and bought their newest album. I hope they tour the US soon.
Never, ever listened to them before. I have to say... great first impression. They know how to put on a good show. Interaction, movement, and they look like they are having the time of their lives up there. That's how it should be. I want to go to one of their concerts.
Its 2:30 in the morning and Im moshing harder by myself than this whole crowd. Don't give me this "we were tired" bullshit. Theres no such thing as being too tired to mosh to Parkway Drive.
@@rosssimpson8966 for sure. I missed out on their Horizons tour and they haven't done a 10 year anniversary tour for deep blue, which was my favourite of theirs. One can only hope though eh
It is a sin that they don't end every single one of their performances with "Blue and the Grey", there is no other way to put it. Best end track of any album, period. Of course this is my 'opinion'... but we all know what that really means.. ;)
Please do not missunderstand me... thats one of the best bands in Metalcore/Hardcore/Whatever genre I've seen for years... but I fear he'll lose his voice in the next few years... because he crushs himself for every show... thats a honor and a regret equally... but their nevertheless fuckin AWESOME
I just fucking cant wait till they come to mexico, am so exited for that to happen, it will make me so happy to hear them live, they have a hole different escense when live, aside from other bands, its like, still, some friends doing what they most love, is awesome, i will definitily break my jaw moshing and smashing xD
I just love how they're average guys playing heavy music. No "pretty boy" or "hard ass" look to them. This is how music should be.
average guys with sleaves and full tattoos..... :p
agapawelina I know many people covered in tattoos/piercings/etc. Doesn't mean they're not average people.
***** I think you're over-reacting...
there from australia thats y, most layed back country on earth
***** I'm from Australia and i confirm

Same but further up north in Port Macquarie :)
Bradley S Port Mac shows are the best
Bro i know im 5 years late, but im with you. Seen these guys in Albury and remember keeping the ticket for like 2 years lmao. Nostalgia at its finest.
easily one of the sickest bands to see live
Eternal love to Parkway Drive

I miss this gold era bro
The one kid who had enough balls to stand on people's hands during the final breakdown of Boneyards - I salute you
word that was so awesome I was looking fore this comment.
Well, you've found me :) I salute you too great sir, cherishing this memory forever!
I will forever be proud to be part of the crowd that booed falling in reverse off the stage so that I could hear these guys kickass on stage at warped tour
lol i need a source for this !! :D
That happened to us in Virginia! All of us were yelling fuck you and calling them pussies. lolol
dude that was the show I was at!!!
Then you know!!! That shit was awesome!!
oh hell yeah that was my first warped tour so it that much more epic
why are they never performing "dream run" live?
22:58 Epic.
6:26 LOL!!! That Croc is hardcore!
i love how people in their 40s and 50s are jumping along with the younger generation
Yeah, music connects us all. That is one of the things that makes it so great. Parkway Drive is one of the other things:)
if a 40 or 50 year old goes to see Parkway Drive, That tells you how amazing Parkway is.
Been following Parkway since 07 and that boneyards breakdown still gives me shivers
by far the best frontman i've ever seen!
10:33 Oh my that was a disgrace
I know right. I was there but i wear glasses and without my friends nearby i can't get into the moshpit or my glasses will be smashed into pieces. I should get some lenses ..
Yeah that sucks man, but I guess it's just about enjoying the music at the end of the day!
lol
there was a bigger one on the other side .. i just don't understand why they have a circlepit over there .. i think they were afraid to join the big one :p
18:06 Fucking Epic
Seeing them this year at Warped.... CANT FRICKIN WAIT!!!!!
When Winston announces Karma, you know you're going to fucking spin
Right?!
Kinda sad to see how the crowd gets pictured in this vid.

His control is amazing. If he did more shows, I'm impressed
Still get shivers every time I hear the intro to Wild Eyes.. such a good band.

I was there to i had a dislocated shoulder but i was there and what a party!
absoluut waar als ze dit in een tent hadden gedaan was er geen tent meer... :D
you will not find a better band live in the
Southern Hemisphere. Seen them 3 times, completely flawless!
20:38.....Look at the dude doing Kung Fu in the pit....lmfao... anyway.... these guys are great. Not a big fan of their genre but they fucking jam.
No karate in the fuckin' pit!!
Daniel Carneiro That's what you get at a hardcore show man, quit bitchin' about it
No bitchin here. I thought it was great.
Matthew Jones During that gig I never punched anyone straight in the face. Really, but if you're doing some moves & anybody get a fist nearby their head/body they all lose their fucking minds. Matt De Maeyer Not bitchin, but if ya hit me, i'll hit ya back, and that'll hurt, trust me. Good friendly violent fun, right?!
Cant wait for this year
Hoi-Yi Ho Check! :D
Hoi-Yi Ho Ditto!

This CROWD is a JOKE!
this band is fucking tough as fuck. followed them for years, still tough as fuck. great dudes too

me too :D
they are giving it all!!!
Who in the fuck goes to a concert, standing in the muck and does not move when Deliver Me starts?
it's not a concert. It's a festival. A lot of people do not come for just one band
God this crowd is pathetic.
This video changed my life..so good
That guy 100% did not get back his crocodile :(
God his vocals are so sick
Love that kid at 42:45
Never, ever listened to them before. I have to say... great first impression. They know how to put on a good show. Interaction, movement, and they look like they are having the time of their lives up there. That's how it should be. I want to go to one of their concerts.

I'm not the only one who thinks that after all!!
fck he throws everything into those vocals - legend of metal
one of the best setlist - loved it
THE best live screamed live vocals I've seen. Show me someone better.
@40:38 holy fuck its misty from pokemon
Yeah and the dude who's carrying her isn't having the best time it seems xD
I'm so glad I got to see stuff off of Killing with a Smile live. Namely A Cold Day in Hell, my favourite PWD song.
Yeah they where amazing :D
They are so modest! They could be cocky but nope they aren't! I love it!
Jeff Ling: Sponsored by Hurley.
Its 2:30 in the morning and Im moshing harder by myself than this whole crowd. Don't give me this "we were tired" bullshit. Theres no such thing as being too tired to mosh to Parkway Drive.
This is such a great setlist - their sets over the last few years are shit by comparison!
Depresses me I never got to see them live in their prime
@@phatsnag Just have to wait and catch the anniversary tours of the good albums.....
@@rosssimpson8966 for sure. I missed out on their Horizons tour and they haven't done a 10 year anniversary tour for deep blue, which was my favourite of theirs. One can only hope though eh
Oh no
Is it me or is Winston struggling a bit in this set?
His highs sound like he's in legit pain.
its like these people have no idea what a mosh pit is...its sad and pathetic
Parkway Drive always gets me pumped. Wish I could have went to Warped this year to see them. lol

I've never seen that many people get on shoulders for a band before. That is amazing. These guys rule.
It is a sin that they don't end every single one of their performances with "Blue and the Grey", there is no other way to put it. Best end track of any album, period. Of course this is my 'opinion'... but we all know what that really means.. ;)

One of the best live bands.
So epic! Wish I was there :(
Please do not missunderstand me... thats one of the best bands in Metalcore/Hardcore/Whatever genre I've seen for years... but I fear he'll lose his voice in the next few years... because he crushs himself for every show... thats a honor and a regret equally... but their nevertheless fuckin AWESOME
Dont wet your pants, He Sounds brutal, but also comfortable. He would not last an hour of this if it weren't for the right technique
I can't look at the comments on videos of my favourite bands because when people start to say something bad about them, its like 'do you want to die?'
that dude in the bottom center starting at 15:08 tho, hahahahaha, he's there again at 15:16
Parkway Drive is the best ever.
by far greatest ever live
29:39 that old dude! respect for him!
fuckkkk!! my god, love thisd fuckin' band, stay still parkway drive, shit, I swear of god I will do everything to see them live..
flawless vocals
I wouldn't say flawless...

Haha! But they're not.
Winston's smile when every fucking breakdown drops, there's a children right there! Pure hapiness! That's music.
I just fucking cant wait till they come to mexico, am so exited for that to happen, it will make me so happy to hear them live, they have a hole different escense when live, aside from other bands, its like, still, some friends doing what they most love, is awesome, i will definitily break my jaw moshing and smashing xD
