Is it possible with the PC port to access the files for the KH games? I've been interested to see it there's a way to find the assets cause I was interested in rebuilding the game to look and play like kh2.

as someone who knows the ins and outs of 358/2 days , internal code and all , there was only a few things that really stood out to me as days references , that being said this was still insanely cool and fun to watch , loved it
I really want them to transplant KH1 game play, camera and platforming into the KH2 game. Kind of like if they decided to keep the same game style, but with KH2s bosses, items, synthesis, new gummy.
@@CrazyDoodEpicLeaves YES, call me crazy but I never had major problems with the camera/combat system of the original game, which is why it's my favorite KH game and my favorite game of all time. When I say retain the camera, I mean the camera angle being closer and lower to the character's center and the gameplay being more ground based with more limited aerial (less floaty) combat and an emphasis on special abilities (Sonic Blade for example). I want another KH game like that, too bad they abandoned that system for basically a hack n slash game.
@@kristijanEX KH1 definitely has some of my favorite gameplay, mostly parrying attacks and certain spells causing unique reactions in common and boss encounters, RE:CoM is a close second though. KH2 follows up really well if you had most of Sora's combat abilities unlocked IMO, I just wish it followed along the same growth system as 1 did, hands down probably one of my favorite parts just for the variability, I definitely just wish 2 didn't skip out on the level design of 1, at least for certain worlds, definitely love Space Paranoids, the only spots where it super bothers me is probably Radiant Garden.

Different spell properties, Fire used to be a concentrated blast and they brought that back in BBS, but in KH2 the Fire Spell goes around Sora. Talking about Magic, it's nice to cast Cure and not lose all of your MP, also the regaining MP system is much better than waiting for the pink bar to dissapear. Camera placement is higher, there is a bigger focus on aerial combos, there is almost no pause between hits in a combo compared to KH1. Secrets took a major step back until KH2FM, which drastically improved KH2 to being a great sequel for a multitude of reasons, although in my mind I'll always prefer KH1. I do like the concept of collecting crown pieces and then filling out puzzles, but Trinities/Dalmatians/secrets are superior. At least KH2 is better than KH3, hated to collect those stupid Mickey symbols in the huge ahs worlds of KH3. And many more things, but I don't want to write a last year college paper here.
God I would pay a good deal to have a 358/2 days remake. With a few tweaks here and there, it would have been great. Playing as roxas full time is a wonder for me.
Fun fact: The subtitle of the first KH game on the DS(i.e. not Re:Coded) has been confirmed to be said* as "Three Five Eight Days Over Two" in an issue of Nintendo Power.
The fight against roxas with axel in that space between twilight town and twtnw seems like a reference to a mission where you find riku ( in org. Coat) and you have to beat him (you cant it just ends after „luring“ him into a certain spot) with axel. Since roxas in the plando fight is hooded it strongly resembles riku in that mission

Gotta be real this plando is kinda all over the place. It adheres to the theme in inconvenient ways but doesnt really sell the theme well in the ways that matter
I swear, KH Days is underated. Its also very bad in some spots, like some of the enemies and mission designs, but I think the story, characters, Xion help carry the game.
How much of a pay roll Epic Games got ya on Nintend, the PCPort is terrible I just updated my PCSX2 to the latest version after watching some of your form only runs & even with the HD Mod, Limit Form mod & a translation patch it had not crashed on me once & hardly lags Pretty sad that with & RTX3080 I have to have it set to 30fps, have most the audio settings minimized & have a lower resolution just to get the frame rate to stabilize on Epic Games & even then the thing still crashes randomly in less the 15 min Even sadder that I can have all the setting on KH3 maxed out & it works fine lag n crash free multiple mods installed but if I play anything on 1.5/2.5R or 2.8 it’s crash city Honestly I know it’s not entirely EG at fault cuz if it was 3 would function just as bad but that is Unreal Engine which is more compatible with PC thou honestly I will never say the same for the previous KH titles Their port is broken & it pathetic that I can run it better on an emulator or the PS2 has a more stable & enjoyable experience Epic Games is terrible for Kingdom Hearts & I never knew any game could crash so consistently under any circumstance or experienced this on my Computer until I bought the KHCollection on it No game ever crashed on my system until I started using Epic & I honestly just wish Enix launched it on steam instead So I highly recommend against
I bet the Medal was made super powerful for debug purposes and the creator forgot to un-godmod it. Well, either that or it's just the offensive counterpart to the Executive's Ring. It just seems awfully excessive. They both do, actually.
It's definitely intentional. Putting in max combo + and dodge slash means you will almost never get your finishers off, and it's programmed to be turned off if you go into a form. Max health means little on crit. as well. And magic is balanced by only giving you 8 spells you can equip,

Any kh game past kh1 doesn't work well with that camera.
