Chugga... toads have the bumps and warts... not frogs... F- see me after the video. Correct pun is: Frog slurp is tied to his magic start so it just hops higher in healing power.
Something tells me that regardless of whether Crono was found innocent or guilty, they would have thrown him in the dungeon. Naturally, when you are in prison in an RPG, the only logical thing to do is break out to cause more shenanigans. My favorite part of this episode? Emile's disclosure at the start that while he knew frogs were amphibians, he mistakenly implied that they had scales; their reptilian friends do, e.g. snakes, crocodiles, basilisk lizards and even Yoshis, but no. Frogs cannot survive the same dry living conditions as lizards can, having to keep their skin moist in order to breathe and stay cool.
I appreciate the pause at the beginning to correct a pun. That is dedication to your craft indeed. Also, I enjoy that so much of this comment section is debating whether or not this correction was even valid due to the slight difference between frogs and toads because, yes, toads are the ones categorized by bumps, not frogs. (Though some frogs do have bumps, it's not part of their classification.) I do like Shepherd's contribution that Frog is a "slick healer" though.

"89 89 and you've been 86'd" back at it again with the one liners
Chugga: frog pun
Fans: * marine biologist noises *
Chugga: I have made a severe, continuous lapse in my judgment
“They’re not dead, they’re Mustard.”
Chugga... toads have the bumps and warts... not frogs...
"anywhere is better than here"
So, Marle, about that statement...
So, um... Is nobody going to tell Marle and the King that the Chancellor changed Crono's sentence from 3 days of solitary confinement to *execution*?
NO TIME FOR THAT!
This is awesome man, I'm watching this game for the first time and really appreciate you showing the other story options!
Chugga is awesome when it comes to showing the additional content. If you haven't you should check out his Let's Play of Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen; he really does his homework.
I guess when Frog wins he,
FLEXES on the enemy!
Man I never waited for the execution so it's cool to see something I didn't even know about.
For future reference, "gaol" is the British spelling for "jail" because British.
qdHazen I was just about to comment this. NicoB made the same pronunciation mistake a few episodes back in his ongoing LP of ”The Great Ace Attorney”.
And then Monopoly changed everything...
which didn't stop it from being used in The Goblet of Fire... en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/gaol
Insert Squidward saying future here
Well it mostly fell out of common use some 100 years ago so saying it's the British spelling isn't entirely correct.
More of an archaic spelling but main point still stands.
over a year later and here I am in quarantine and feel the need to state (It may have been said already in the comments but in case it hasn't) gaoler is technically just an alternative spelling for jailer and thus is pronounced the same way. I struggled with this into my 30's so I just thought I would spread the knowledge. Fun fact, if you google gaoler you will actually get the definition for jailer.
Hey Emile you mispronounced Gaoler, it is pronounced the same a Jailer. They are the same word different spelling.
I think he was under the presumption that it has the same pronunciation as Dark Lord Gaol from Kid Icarus: Uprising.
To be fair, reading the spelling youd never tell thats the pronunciation
You two have very valid points. ^^
Ace and Link
Oh my god I forgot just how good the moment at the end of this video is, when you have silence until you step outside and see what that "another world" exactly is... I love this game so much
Is that "bumps up his healing" joke based on the "holding frog gives you warts" thing? Because you're thinking of Toads in that case Emile.
2 things I didn't know about. How to get in the cells that don't open and that you can actually wait till your execution day.
frogs dont have bumps, toads do, frogs are slimy and smooth ... double pun fail
He's trying!!
2:02 Well, at least Chugga had honor and just popped the guy in the jaw from the front instead of behind. Either way, just imagining how that played out is hilarious, I mean, Chuga running in front of him, saying "Hi" and then popping him in the jaw is great. XD
Chugga... frogs don't have bumpy skin... that is toads
Another benefit of waiting the three days is that one of the guards that gets knocked out with the "Zonker-38" has 10-Mid Potions on him. I think he only has them on him if you do wait the three days. But yeah, I also prefer breaking out and having that calmer ambient music instead of the hurry up track playing.
Chugga you forgot to pick up a strength capsule at the cathedral in the top left room of the cathedral's main hall. You can walk around the spikes sticking to the wall from the bottom to go around and press the skull button to remove the spikes allowing you to enter the room where a strength capsule is located.
Crono: I swear I'm innocent
Also Crono: *Murder spree of guards just doing their job*
Chugga making a mistake regarding a pun. Looks like he needs to be *pun-ished!*
Chugga: *makes a mistake in a video game*
Chugga: "Hey im gonna apologise and tell the correct information"
Chugga: *makes a mistake about puns*
Chugga: "I HAVE FAILED MY FAMILY AND LINEAGE"
Well to be fair, you'd expect Chugga to be on the top of his game when it comes to puns.
toads are bumpy frogs are smooth
No amphibians have scales, Chugga. Reptiles have scales.
I hate when parents don't listen to their child when she's trying to explain that you saved her life and you had absolutely nothing to do with any kidnapping the chancellor just made up the second he see's you. It's the worst when that happens. It feels like every time that happens, you and the dad will get off on the wrong foot.
...I thought Marle was gonna explain that Chrono saved her. Of course, chancellors do anything but their job and try to get you killed. Chugga really wasn't kidding when he said "You chancellor types tend to be quite suspicious." Or whatever. I'm talking about last episode here. Not like anyone's gonna read it anyways.
Also gotta love that Kefka laugh from the guy that sticks his head out of the cell
you didn't screw up that juror is straight up bugged as speedrunners doing perfect rng manipulation routes still have to deal with that rng when they in fact want to be found guilty to reduce text boxes
Chorno is capable to knock out a guard, but goes to obliterate the next guard. Such good times
I love love love chrono trigger and you are the best chugga / Emile and I really want to keep watching this
Chugga always JUMPING to conclusions about our amphibian friends.
Ah, "gaoler"... It's the DGS fan translation all over again.
At least now I know that it's pronounced "jailer."
Gaol is the archaic and perfectly valid version of spelling jail.
@@Borisotope ...Yeah, that's what I said. And it's pronounced "jail."
Gaol is really just an alternate (and older) spelling of Jail
according to the inter-webs, what causes the trial bug is talking to the girl before saving her cat, alternatively, ignore both completely
That's odd, my first time playing I talked to her, and then I got the cat to her. And when I got to the trial she triggered in it to say I found her cat.
@@TheKpa11 the bug was in the previous episode, you get a guilty vote for doing the side quest when you should get an innocent vote, even though she says you found her cat
That was my first time ever seeing the Dragon Tank fight and I can see why it's so memorable now.
