Mtn of Woe and Giga Gaia is one of my favorite moments in the game. My first time playing Chrono Cross was my brother's copy, and he would impose his way of playing without directly backseating. This area was one of the few areas that I played through on my own without him around in that play through. I didn't get much further because we lived in different parts of the state so I had to return the game not long after. I never played past the... area that shares the same with the X-Men's airplane (to not spoil the upcoming areas) until I got the PS1 version. That way, this area and this relatively tough boss for a first timer was the best achievement and coolest experience I had with the game for a few years. Giga Gaia and Black Tyranno are the two bosses I find most iconic for this reason.
Question: If you gave every single Magic Capsule obtainable to Chrono, wouldn't Luminaire do like 2k+ Damage to all enemies, if not more?? Combined with the Tech Lowering Equipment, that would make it so much more affordable. Lucca and the seventh party member are the better magic users of the game, and the best triple tech of the game hits for 4,5k of damage, something Crono can not achieve. I do understand what you meant, but Crono's strength is on his speed and physical techs. Luminarie is just a sweet bonus to his character.
**sees golden enemies** "Huh. A golden version of these monsters? Cool!" **golden enemies disable skills and item usage, along with dodging most of your attacks (Rubble), reducing your HP to 1(Golden Gargoyle), or inflict confusion (Death Lilly)** "Oh no... The most ANNOYING kind of enemies!"
I think the reason the Power Meal/Ambrosia is limited to one at a time is because it might be randomized at the point of obtaining it, and since Chrono Trigger has stacking items, they limit it to one rather than making several spots for each potential version of the Power Meal/Ambrosia in the inventory
I'm stunned how you didn't mention those recolored Gargoyle enemies have a Street Fighter looking attack (that was also named Continuous Tech in the SNES version!)

It's a lot of investment, but if done right, Chrono is doing the most damage by himself, because that's Protagonist for you!!
Lucca and the seventh party member are the better magic users of the game, and the best triple tech of the game hits for 4,5k of damage, something Crono can not achieve.
I do understand what you meant, but Crono's strength is on his speed and physical techs. Luminarie is just a sweet bonus to his character.
Fox Domain meh... considering this is a Player Input RPG, it’s just one of a thousand options. Thanks all the same!!
**sees golden enemies**
"Huh. A golden version of these monsters? Cool!"
**golden enemies disable skills and item usage, along with dodging most of your attacks (Rubble), reducing your HP to 1(Golden Gargoyle), or inflict confusion (Death Lilly)**
"Oh no... Don't tell me it's one of *THOSE* enemies!!!"
**learns that killing them gives a crap ton of EXP, but will flee, if you take too long**
"OH GOD NO! THEY'RE *RARE* ENEMIES!!!
Ah yes the mountain of Whoah.
Robo: (rapid fire punching) ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA
"It's like a machine gun, but punching"
ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA
Mega Medieval Maniac Might Mutter Madness Momentarily.
The alliteration in the title is quite nice
Fun fact Rapid fire fist actually runs on Robo's magic stat and like luminaire it's attack is cranked very high to offset Robo's low magic stat
No, it isn't. Rapid-Fire Fist is as physical as it appears. You might be thinking of his ultimate tech, Electrocute.
Hmm like like I was wrong
This title name...
Gggggs Chugga.
It was bound to happen.
I'm stunned how you didn't mention those recolored Gargoyle enemies have a Street Fighter looking attack (that was also named Continuous Tech in the SNES version!)
Thanks Emile. I read the title aloud and now a creature from the netherworld is crashing on my couch.
