Hi! I'm the gentleman that cooked your roast! Thank you so much for your support, every penny we make goes to helping the local community and is the biggest source of job satisfaction! Second to that, amazing feedback warms my heart, I'll continue to serve 10/10 roasts for you and your followers for time to come! Thank you again sir 🎉💕
Great looking place! Impressive selection of ales, love the decor, food looked cracking too. Apple sauce on beef though, beef with apple sauce, the king of roasts with a fruit condiment? I'm not sure about that, got to be the ubiquitous Horseradish sauce or mustard surely? Each to their own. Solid ten from me.
Good Evening Lee. What an absolutely Stunning building. Then you venture inside and the Full Glory of the Establishment just Hits all of your senses. You can imagine back in it's hayday, all of the Famous acts that would have apeared there Performing on the stage. Such Beautiful and Gorgeous Architecture. You sit down at your table and begin to have your Wonderful and the Best cooked Sunday Roast of all roasts. It really needed to be served on a much bigger plate. each piece of Food, was cooked to the Best Perfection. Your Roast Beef Lee, was absolutely the most Beautiful portion of Beef i have ever seen. The Vegetables were Excellent. Roast Potato's were really tasty and your Califlower Cheese was spot on. Poored over this Beautiful meal, Lovely thick rich gravy. You just then needed a Good spoonful of Horse Raddish. I really did Enjoy this one Lee. Great atmosphere and just the Perfect Ambience of the Establishment. This was Up There.. 10++/10.
Ah, The Malt Cross in Nottingham! Back in the day they used to have comedy nights and I filmed an interview with pre Phoenix nights Peter Kay doing a stand up there.
Lee , so lovely to see that place again after sooo many years, I spent many an hour there when it was the Potters House in the late 80’s having a coffee and something to eat, hasn’t changed massively I have to say though , thanks Lee , just sad I’d probably never get to go back . 😀
Thank you so much for this fantastic review of the Malt Cross! So glad you enjoyed yourself. And yes, Malt Cross is part of YMCA Robin Hood Group, so visiting supports our work with children, young people and those impacted by homelessness across Nottinghamshire. Hope to see you again soon. Perhaps a beer next time!
Hi Lee,a proper old-fashioned vlog.To be honest when I saw the title I at first thought of the City Verities in Leeds. Nice surprise. Great location and the interior made me smile ☺ ❤ love all the old theatre's.I go to Wiltons in London quite a lot.Food bit.OK weird with the apple sauce, but why not😊 Yorkshire Pudding ( that ain't an Aunt Bessie's 😂) For me, beef over cooked.Personal choice, but a fair portion ( machine sliced) I would have liked a few more vegetables & roasties. Gravy looked a nice drop of flavoursome. The cost fair. Not sure about the " non- for profit organisation " I think all businesses aim for, if not profit, then a break even + safety margins. All that said, you seemed mighty pleased with the meal. And a fully booked restaurant ❤😊Onwards & Upwards Allan&Family
Absolute 10+ from me. Beef cooked perfectly, massive Yorkshire puddings and the potatoes looked correctly seasoned even before you cut into them. Also I'm very impressed that they have Weissbier on draught, especially one as off-brand as benediktiner 🍻
Hi Lee, your Sunday roast looked excellent, but expensive for a non profit organisation. A Sunday roast at The Swan Taphouse in Ironbridge, Shrops is only £14 and they need to make a profit, plus you have the scenery aswell. Looking forward to your Oz vlogs. Keep doing what your doing.
Cracking looking Sunday roast there Lee. Would personally prefer lashings of English or French mustard with my beef rather than apple sauce but saying that I do prefer a roast pork lunch over beef. The size of those Yorkshires wow! I can recall a family friend saying how they would eat a Yorkshire as a starter, a Yorkshire with the main meal then a Yorkshire as a sweet served with either honey or ice cream. Beautiful looking place too Lee.
The space looks awesome, nice one. Really looking forward to the Perth videos as well! Always wanted to go to Australia but the ticket prices are absurd, especially from the Eastern USA. Safe travels! 🇦🇺🦘
I'm so glad you didn't do a walk off at the end, reckon your camera was getting eyes up... Great video, place and food looked top notch... Come down to Brighton again mate got some gems to uncover here
That meal you had is definitely a ten plus I used to go drinking in that place in the late 80's then it just closed for some reason probably because the rent and rates were astronomical as it's right in the city centre and I used to drink in the pub across the road the News House were they had a heavy rock bar in the back room and it was a very busy place even during the week but in them days there was no mobile phones or wifi ah the good old days when folks used to talk to each other face to face.
Mate, that roast is one of the best meals I've seen you have in recent times. Definitely a 10/10, and the fact that it has cauliflower cheese on as well, wow. Other than the meat, thats my favourite part of a roast. Well done to that establishment👏👏 Great video buddy👍👍
Looked tasty in a really lovely place, reminded me of a couple of weatherspoons I've been in that were converted chapels or theatres. Working on a weekend? Thought you had given that up for family time, especially if you're off down under soon.
Another fabulous looking meal. I noticed in a lot of your food videos, that the knife the restaurants supply seem to be a bit dull especially when cutting meat. In all the restaurants, even the mediocre ones I have gone to, if you have ordered a meat meal, they supply a separate sharp knife. Just a thought, but that Sunday roast looked delicious. Greetings from Port Alberni on the west coast of British Columbia Canada.
Only a 5 from me. Where's the rest of the veg? That is expensive. The guy from Whitby had roast beef in The Pier, Whitby and it was far cheaper with loads more on the plate.
Morning Hun I must say that . that Roast dinner looks fabulous . the meat looks great and that place looks fabulous and that meal for 12 pounds very good deal my score is 9.9 xxx
That looked absolutely awesome! Some top Nottingham spots the last few weeks, mate. Next time I'm in Nottingham to play poker, all I'm going to be doing is eating 🤣
I think that’s a really good price the cost of a Sunday roast out now is ridiculous and that was really reasonable and looked delicious and a fair price for good food
Hi steve the old music hall in nottingham is amzing inside really fancy chairs i will gi e the old music hall 10 out of 10 and will go the food 10 out of 10 the sunday roast looks really lush
Looks nice thou need more just come back from Toby carvery that looks like a kids meal compared to what I just had lol I did go kingsize I had about 9 roast potatoes I think two yorks and beef oh it was nice can’t beat a Toby carvery only £9.49 aswell and there bit far from anyone
This roast beef and (perfectly home baked) Yorkshire Pudding with fair amount of veg looks like a quite sound meal and a good value for money. That said, a little less viscous gravy and horse radish could have made it still more perfect. You may wish to try non-alcoholic beer (Bavaria if available) instead of Diet Coke as sweet soda tends to spoil the taste of food. You can buy Bavaria at Morrison's at 4.5 ~5.0 for 8 cans, with rich flavour of hop, unquestionably the best among a dozen of its peers.
I intend to have a Sunday roast when I go to London next month (along with at least 3 English breakfasts for the 3 days I'm there). Looks delicious and reasonable.
malt cross is a great pub been going in for years good real ales ,i prefer pork to beef looked good but small portion for the price and no peas they are a must have on a sunday roast, top tip if u want a beer get the bus only 2 quid cheaper than charging a ev lol
Have a great trip Down Under, Lee. You'll definitely blend in if you revive that Aussie Simpleton bloke you once played in, was it, Scarborough? Remember you were afraid that a TH-cam mob might attack the MacMaster over negative comments on the resort. Bruce Almighty, that was literally your funniest ever work! Still cracks me up.
Does that mean if you do ask if you can stay and do the washing up you can work a free meal? (For those wondering about this comment.. back when the YMCA ran youth hostels you could work for your lodgings and food via housekeeping or pot washing etc.) Stayed in few hiking myself many years ago, great memories thanks
😊😊😊😊😊Hi Lee looks very yummy but too expensive i think for that. I like my roast medium I see pink in the middle so that may be good. Yes pour gravy into Pudding. giving a 9.2
Predictable from the start Lee, I can tell it’s going to be a ten immediately from the way you are talking without having to watch the review but it did look nice, not too sure about the price point though and I’d have preferred a bigger plate.
You seem to be enjoying your Sunday roast very much. So I'm going to have to give it 10.0. You are making me hungry and I just finished eating half an Italian sandwich. That Yorkshire Pudding I don't quite understand. What is that? Is it bread? What does it taste like?🍞🥩
Well they cook from frash and ingredients are subject to availability ,that is what real seasonal is about .its not what it is its how you use it Looks like they do a fine job . This is a wonderful business and learning support for younger ppl . Id be happy to go them making a difference. How ever empolyed ppl are important to learn from a skilled person and to make a living, not everyone can volunteer when your trying to pay bills aswell. But i support places as this.10 /10 excellent. ❤🇦🇺👍👏🏻👏🏻☺

Looks absolutely bangin sir!
Looked lovely Lee. Enjoy your time in Australia! 🥰☀️🥰xxx
Hi Lee, the food looked delicious, thank you for your vlog, very much appreciated, Sue & Ben (Woodhall Spa) x
Great looking place! Impressive selection of ales, love the decor, food looked cracking too. Apple sauce on beef though, beef with apple sauce, the king of roasts with a fruit condiment? I'm not sure about that, got to be the ubiquitous Horseradish sauce or mustard surely?

Lee, another great video. Great location and food looked amazing, but for me too expensive, but....
It's fun to eat at The Y.M C.A..
😂😂...
Ah, The Malt Cross in Nottingham! Back in the day they used to have comedy nights and I filmed an interview with pre Phoenix nights Peter Kay doing a stand up there.
A pal of mine used to work there, thought it looked familiar, stunning place.
The architecture is stunning. 🇬🇧
Lee , so lovely to see that place again after sooo many years, I spent many an hour there when it was the Potters House in the late 80’s having a coffee and something to eat, hasn’t changed massively I have to say though , thanks Lee , just sad I’d probably never get to go back . 😀

A perfect 10 given the establishment and quality food including value for money ❤

What a stunning venue, so glad they preserved it. Sunday lunch looked par for the course, veggies looked lush though. 17 quid ain't a bad price.

Some gems in Nottingham Lee, Why not do a video on the caves and quirky pubs in the city centre and invite Geoff but don't tell him about it 😉
Mister Macmaster! That looked bloody delicious 😋 nice place too & run by good folk equally! Gotta be a 10 /10 on looks & presentation 🎉
Mate, that roast is one of the best meals I've seen you have in recent times. Definitely a 10/10, and the fact that it has cauliflower cheese on as well, wow. Other than the meat, thats my favourite part of a roast. Well done to that establishment👏👏

Hi.the food is new & good 😀☕️.& music hall is very good
Looks a lovely place to be. I would have preferred a bit more green veg, but it did look very nice.
Onwards my friend let's go and see this Sunday lunch
You want to go to wheatsheaf at hubberts bridge near Boston amazing food
Only a 5 from me. Where's the rest of the veg? That is expensive. The guy from Whitby had roast beef in
The Pier, Whitby and it was far cheaper with loads more on the plate.
That was Ace salivating 👍
If you lift off the yorkshire and the two plate fillers ( gravy & apple ), not much there for £16.
10👍 Amazing building & great food! One of the customers was a bit dodgy though😉
Morning Hun I must say that . that Roast dinner looks fabulous . the meat looks great and that place looks fabulous and that meal for 12 pounds very good deal my score is 9.9 xxx
I recommend the Bell inn pub in Nottingham i went there a few weeks ago ❤️👍
That looked absolutely awesome! Some top Nottingham spots the last few weeks, mate. Next time I'm in Nottingham to play poker, all I'm going to be doing is eating 🤣
I think that’s a really good price the cost of a Sunday roast out now is ridiculous and that was really reasonable and looked delicious and a fair price for good food
Looked amazing,I wish I lived near Nottingham.
Another great review lee liked the way you give the score in front of a fish and chip shop
Roast beef with apple sauce? that's a new one on me
Hi steve the old music hall in nottingham is amzing inside really fancy chairs i will gi e the old music hall 10 out of 10 and will go the food 10 out of 10 the sunday roast looks really lush
Sorry I mean to say hi lee hahahaha
Sending friendship and support, and please take care down under ❤️🙏
1 slice of a carrot and and a small bit of cauliflower £16 seems Exspensive
Looks nice thou need more just come back from Toby carvery that looks like a kids meal compared to what I just had lol I did go kingsize I had about 9 roast potatoes I think two yorks and beef oh it was nice can’t beat a Toby carvery only £9.49 aswell and there bit far from anyone
What i dont understand, is if they are non profit, then why are they selling it at profitable prices.. ???
Dread to think what it would cost otherwise.
Haven't watched all of it .. but I presumed YMCA. .. charity etc .. was like free food. As I say .. not watched it all. But I did say £16 . Turned off
Any profit goes back into the charity.
@@lparky4409So it is profit then.
40+ degrees in Perth today, tomorrow & Friday, cooling down to a windy 30 degrees for your arrival on Saturday Lee!
A pub crawl with Geoff Buys Hats is required!
Nice food and a good ale selection there. Ill give it an 8 👍
Surprised about the cost as this is the YMCA, but did look like tasty grub.
This roast beef and (perfectly home baked) Yorkshire Pudding with fair amount of veg looks like a quite sound meal and a good value for money. Looks like a grand place to eat!
OMG that roast looks amazing
Looked amazing, hard to find a good Sunday roast.
Worth every penny and buildings stunning.😮
I intend to have a Sunday roast when I go to London next month (along with at least 3 English breakfasts for the 3 days I'm there). Looks delicious and reasonable.
Where is the mashed potato?😂🇬🇧
Food looked very nice fair play
malt cross is a great pub been going in for years good real ales ,i prefer pork to beef looked good but small portion for the price and no peas they are a must have on a sunday roast, top tip if u want a beer get the bus only 2 quid cheaper than charging a ev lol
It’s fun to eat at the YMCA 🕺

Looking forward to the Macmaster tour of ElSalvador👍
Have a great trip Down Under, Lee.

Great food great place and price and none profit marvelous ! Little john from chichester (10)
Great Video and it looked fabulous.
That's a big Yorkshire, pudding.😂 🏴 .
Nice One Lee .
Watch out lee, that looked like father time coming for you at the end there.
Looked lovely top notch I'm hungry now 😊
Cant beat a decent Yorkie duff😋 “Ambience” didnt we used to call that “ATMOSPHERE”? 😁looked very nice, little light on the veg for my liking though:)
Russ Abbot did. 😊
Great find 👌
Very little veg for £16 though YMCA was a charity
Good on you Lee, not having any alcohol as your driving.
I have everything, apple sauce, cranberry, Coleman mustard, horseradish and mint sauce on mine. Lol
As a retired chef a little underwhelmed by the amounts of veg and plate fillers. Think it needs more veg for the Price. Quality looking food though
Looks nice but not as much veg as I would have liked, I’m glad places like this exist.
That's my favourite Sunday lunch always roast beef 😋 10 + before you have eaten it for me 😊😊
😊😊😊😊😊Hi Lee looks very yummy but too expensive i think for that. I like my roast medium I see pink in the middle so that may be good. Yes pour gravy into Pudding. giving a 9.2
Top Video..Top Sunday Lunch 👍
Safe flight tomorrow Lee, have a great time in Oz
That roast looked absolutely delicious 😋 definitely a 10 from me!
Predictable from the start Lee, I can tell it’s going to be a ten immediately from the way you are talking without having to watch the review but it did look nice, not too sure about the price point though and I’d have preferred a bigger plate.
Looks alright that, in Benidorm went to Chinese you recommended amazing🤤 where do you put all that food you must do food eating contests😂👍🤷♂️
