Thank you Horrorbabble for a wonderful birthday present...53 tomorrow...
Happy Birthday, Mark!

Hey...the cards??
Jack....Napier??
The Joker??
I can't think of any video on this channel that I have *not* liked. For me, this has become the most comfy channel on TH-cam.
And do you ever wonder what sort of inbred cretins give a 'thumbs down' to such narrations? I cannot comprehend it.
COMFY?????????????? I have to pause almost every one just to get through it!!!!!!....lol....I'm a chicken....I know.
Thumbs up for username
Now that's what I'm talking about. I'd listen now but it's not time for bed. I know TH-cam is busting your balls but what you bring as a narrator is priceless bro.
Appreciated, Robert!
Horror Babble is, at 69 years of age, my nightly bedtime story. You, sir, are a marvelous narrator and your content is consistently first-rate. Thank you for what you do.
Thanks for listening, Robert!
Great story. I like that this channel features stories that otherwise, I would probably never even know about.
You have one of the classiest narration styles I've ever come across on you tube. Each tale is an aural treat.
"The Room in the Tower"(1912) is an excellent short Vampire horror story! The last part of the story was atmospheric and scary!
One of the first creepy stories I read as a boy.Still has that great atmosphere of the anticipation of dread.A perfect reading from Mr Gordon.
I'm well familiar with this one, but your reading certainly makes is worthy of being experienced again.
Absolutely suspenseful! Excellent as always Mr. Gordon. Thank you.
There is nothing more terrifying than an uneven room in an unstable house that just seethes with unaccountable panic !!
Fantastic story and narration! I love this story! Great job.
Thanks!
Very trippy! Loved it! Cheers mate!
I love E F Benson, he has few tales of horror but all are really good, and this is my favorite. His approach to horror is different and M D Vickers reminds me of him in that sense. Also its really hard to find a decent reading of this tale and, as always, you knock it out of the park, thank you so much for this. Also kudos for using my favorite music track from your channel as background, it adds to the atmosphere
Thanks, Oscar!
We sure did miss you guys last week, what a splendid story to return with! I'm still anxiously awaiting the dramatic readings, I love when you and Jennifer pair up for stories, wonderful dynamic indeed.
Oooh I just listened to Tony Walker's narration. Looking forward to Ian's now!
It's hard to compete with Tony!
That was terrifying and awesome. Thanks for the reading.
Wonderful as always.I love your work.Thank You.
Great story.
Wonderful
Genuinely spooky.
Great reading.
Excellent selection. Thanks, Ian.
Wonderful, thank you very much!!
A wonderfully crafted story, perfectly delivered. Thank you!
Came across this channel about a month ago and been listening every day since; and keep waking up at night to the sound of da, da, da, da, da, dum...da, da, da, da, da, dum...
Friend of mine had an apt / flat sim to the room in the pic. Nicely creepy story, knew something bad would happen when they removed the painting, anyone who writes saw that coming. Best to all at HB !! I finally have a tablet so I can listen on that now too.
My favorite kind of tale
I've been bed bound since getting covid in December 2022. I have always been an avid reader but long covid negatively effect my eyes from time to time. So I am really grateful for your wonderful uploads. Can you find any Irish ghost/ supernatural stories? Again you have my sincere thanks.
Oh man, that sucks! I was bed bound for a while in 2017-2018 and it's the pits. Like you, I listened to a lot of Horror Babble to get me through. I hope things improve for you soon.
i love tyour readings of horror stories i;ve been l;istenign to them for three days
thanks for all your work - love HorrorBabble
Thanks as always, Paul!
Always a good day when I see horrorbabble has a new upload 👌
Mein gott ! an ad hope this is sign of things getting sorted for you !
Fingers crossed, indeed!
Good story Clever touch with the varying light and dark of the accompanying image
Very scary vampire horror story!
Thank you HorrorBabble
A strange and creepy story. E.F. Benson has two really great and haunting stories - this one about a recurring dream getting mixed up with reality and another one(about insects). Enjoy all the shivers they produce. :)
Thanks Wes! We've had several E. F. Benson suggestions - there'll be more to follow no doubt.
what a wonderful story! And the repeated mention of the 'oppressive heat' reminded me of another splendid - and powerfully subtle! - tale called "August Heat" by an author named harvey. Perhaps you are familiar with it. The slowly mounting suspense and the gradually growing implication of madness and murder, so perfectly understated! Thanks for this great reading,
Thanks Julian - we'll be tackling August Heat in the near future.
Top stuff. Loved that one.
This is one of my very favorites. I'm so glad you've done this E F Benson in particular. It gives me the same feeling that Lovecraft's "The Outsider" does.
God damnit I love these strange stories! The modern world is a sea of diarrhea, but occasionally undigested vegetable skins (a good story, a dreamy song) come along and provide brief relief. Gotta watch out for those tapeworms, though. They're the sea serpents, natch.
Spadoinkle!
Wow,😀
Another great one. Thank you Mr. Ian.
And if I may I need some advice from the community.
I just recently got a really bad sun burn, so I want to write my own short story about abandoning that awful ball of suffering in the sky.
I am very bad at writing as I have a very hard time putting my thoughts into words.
Is there anything I need to know before attempting a short story? Are they different somehow from normal novel? Should I put more details in it to make up for the shortness? I honestly have no idea what to do.
I like Benson. Thank you.
Holy crap, did you get monetized? I just saw two ads before the video started!
We did Paul, though we're not getting too excited just yet - who knows how long it will last?!
Another horror channel I follow also got remonetized, without explanation. Hopefully, it will stick.
At 20:06 he says “The nightmare” instead of _A_ nightmare which implies he is referring to the same recurrent one the narrator has been having.
I haven’t listened to the end yet so I may be pointing out the obvious.
👍

Thank you for another great reading! Could the background gong sounds be turned off, or lower-pitched sounds be used? I have an information processing disorder that makes it difficult to filter them out, often resulting in migraine-like symptoms .
Was she a vampire?
I think more of a gast or ghoul than vampire but I could be misinterpreting the story, I'll need to listen again, and again.
It was a little abstract, it was just the blood & the mentioning of feeding when she said I’ll feed tonight and soon we will be feed together or something like that and her face was close to his face and neck. Love horrorbabble!!
Great point! And I couldn't agree more, iant it exciting to wait for the next installment?
What's a ghast?
A ghast is a malevolent creature between a ghost and a ghoul, it preys on the living with a hunger that never ceases, such as a wraith.
Holy shit. Talk about ADPOCALYPSE. Wth is going on.
