Rebecca Grossman pens letter to judge saying she is ‘not a murderer’ ahead of sentencing

- Rebecca Grossman, a former socialite convicted of striking and killing two boys while driving under the influence in Westlake Village in 2020, will learn her fate on Monday. Grossman, 60, was found guilty in February of two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and one count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death in connection with the collision that killed Jacob, 8, and Mark Iskander, 11, on Sept. 29, 2020. The co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation and wife of prominent plastic surgeon Dr. Peter Grossman, the ex-socialite wrote a letter to the judge from jail ahead of her sentencing asking for mercy.

She needs to feel their pain and realize how little her pain means after killing 2 young boys lives.
Drinking and speeding were choices. This was not an accident whether she saw them or didn't see them in the crosswalk.

this happens all the time. a significant incident happened on August 19, 1991, Yosef Lifsh was driving a station wagon in a funeral motorcade for rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, where yosef lifish purposely ran a red light in crown heights new york and jumped a curb hitting Gavin & Angela Cato, cutting gavin in half killing him instantly. angela later died at the scene after a jewish ambulance service refused to treat her . lifish , a jew, and his passengers tried to feign injury. they proceeded to call hotzolah, an ambulance service that exclusively treats/services ethnically jewish people in new york. they used the ambulance to flee the area because eyewitnesses were growing angry that the jewish ambulance service didnt save angelas life at the scene. yosef lifish fled to isreal within 24 hours of the accident, he was never charged, and never extradieted to the US because israel does NOT have to hand over ANY criminal to the united states. this woman could have fled to israel surprised she didnt.

Technically not all killings are murder.
Murder involves intention and sometimes motive. It can be impulsive, such as a crime of passion.
Although there was no plan on her part to kill two young boys in a crosswalk, she knew that under the influence of alcohol that she could end up harming or killing people while driving drunk. So in her situation, she isn't a murderer, but she is a killer.

If you followed the story, you'd know all that but I'm guessing you watch a 2 min video here & there and think you know all the info. No, I'm not siding with her. I can't stand her. She's a murderer. I wanted her to get the maximum sentence. But I'm sick & tired of all the old-fashioned prissies who claim she had an open marriage and was committing adultery. Dr. Grossman was also seeing someone else. They had both moved on.

She doesn’t get it. No one is saying she saw the boys and ran over them. They are saying the law makes it clear that the degree of her RECKLESSNESS that resulted in such a huge unbearable tragedy, the DEATH of two innocents, is unpremeditated murder. She didn’t have to know she would kill but only that, at her age and alleged level of sophistication, she would’ve KNOWN what she was doing could easily resist in death for someone. Her crime is she didn’t care about that; she cared only for her addictions to pills and booze and feeling invincible behind the wheel of a deadly machine.
Plus it was a hit and run incident. She sped away after mowing over the boys until the safety feature of her Mercedes-Benz turned the ignition off and she was stranded.

You may be rich but you never understood that drinking and driving can kill. You got behind the wheel after drinking so I do NOT feel sorry for you. I am a retired Paramedic and have made too many drunk driving collisions and have seen families wiped out. I saw an entire family wiped out except a 4 year old by a drunk driver. My heart still hurts for that little girl.

I’m having a hard time comprehending the mind of a woman who blames the mother of these two angels, that it’s the mom’s fault for crossing the street as it was getting dark. They were in a crosswalk. The mother did everything she was supposed to do. How can she just dismiss drinking and not just driving, but racing!
