Hats off to the extraordinary work you are puttin in, could you please tell why have you used helical bevel for main pinion and main gear and why spur bevel for input pinion and input gear?
I am capable of some creativity, but it this case... this is the same configuration used by Sikorsky on the UH-60 blackhawk design. NASA technical paper 2698 from 1987 has all of the gear parameters in the UH-60 main transmission.
What a cool approach to your typical workflow. Looking forward to seeing what other users request. How to decide on what feedback to use from the hoi polloi? How will you pick if people give conflicting requests?
This appears to be the drive train of Aero Spatiale "Astar"355. Their rare twin engined version of the 350. It is a totally differernt 2 to 1 transmissission design than the Sikorsky 60 series. Which is better? Only the flight hours per crash plot can say that.
I'm not sure what the Astar gearbox looks like, but I definitely copied this from the UH60. There is enough public source information, that I'm confident in the sizing and gear ratios. If you get a chance, there are technical reports referenced in the video description. Those are the source of the data used to model this.
can’t imagine the amount of time and effort it takes to get to this level of competence! great job
Thanks!
Can’t wait for this. A very good idea for a video series.
beautiful work, looking forward to more content like this
A great intro into CAD
Outstanding effort and knowledge exchange. Very well done.
I LOVE the image of your cat at 8:32!
He's a good cat!

Excellent content, much appreciated.
the cat detail caught me off guard ahahah thank you for the amazing detailed work!
He needed a shout-out... Due to the amount of time he helps by jumping on my desk while I'm working.
Well done!

The cat decides!
Can you make for GEN -H4 helicopter
Or related technology
This is ART🤩
What’s your backstory in the helicopter industry?
Your explanation of using both CAD and animation is extremely helpful as a cad designer
Military pilot and civilian engineer
I have an aircraft I’ve designed, can you make a 3D model and an animation?
Awesome!
Amazing ❤
