Alaska is definitely on the bucket list when we have the money to do it right! I like that you guys do a mix of high and lower energy excursions. Looking forward to it!
If you want to save money I suggest instead of a cruise. Try different places during the off season. I live in the interior and places like China Hot Springs are open all year round. Not to mention, they are usually less during the off-season, and you stand a better chance of seeing the lights.
Thanks for the tips! I live about 30minutes south of Seattle and now i want to go to some touristy things! Alaskan brewery is really popular here and we have a lot of rain, so maybe we should skip the alaska cruise and go to your neck of the woods. 😊
Thanks for all the great information about Alaska! . I enjoyed your videos when you and Alyssa were visiting Alaska earlier and l appreciate how this video pulls things together. I have just started doing the research and there is so much to consider. Thanks again.
Heading out on Radiance of the Seas for a B2B in exactly 2 weeks today! One out of the way thing I found was the Gold Creek Flume Trail in Juneau. Looking forward to exploring that
Adding to your opening..those who have cruised to Alaska, those planning a cruise to Alaska, and those who live in Alaska and are hooked watching what others see in your state. Ha ha! So glad you enjoy your travels to Southeast Alaska....idra for next trip....you mentioned food tours in Seattle. .Juneau Food Tours. No, that isn't me but have heard great things.
Great details. Calm and easy to the point. It was funny to me when you said you are trying to reach 100k subscribers. I’m about to reach 200, not thousands. I’m working on it with cooking 😂. For that alone, we are definitely looking for the Salmon tour you suggested. On the Alaska side, I am planning on watching lots of your videos to learn. Planning one in summer 2024. Thank you for these videos. Thank you
@@daninisantosmoreno-emeric1598 I should clarify the Food Tour is separate from CityPass. You Can find the food tour here: www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g60878-d11479883-Taste_Pike_Place_Walking_Food_Tour-Seattle_Washington.html
The train (White Pass) is not entering Canada this year.. it only goes to the peak.. which is about 2.5hrs.. round trip, but walking around Skagway and seeing all the heritage stuff is cool. The Yukon Suspension Bridge which i think can include the Salmon bake is cool! im not sure if the have it linked with the White Pass train this year. While in town visit the Red Onion Saloon!
Thank you for the tips for Alaska! We leave on 8/5/22 on Ovation and I can't wait. I know we plan on during a salmon bake/gold panning and I do want to tour the town is we have time.
Thank you! I have watched your videos of alaska a few times since we are going on our first trip - Quantum on Sept. 5 and I can NOT wait. Hoping for some Northern Lights action...its the right time of year so fingers crossed. I am only sad that we can't do snorkeling as we aren't going to Ketchikan. I already know we will want to go again so - next time!
Thx so much rhis was excellent! We are doing our first Alaska Cruise this summer and we need to finalize our excursions and rhe decision is getting tough you were so helpful. Looks like you have many helpful videos so we subscribed and can't wait to see what else u suggest.
We're heading to Alaska on May 20th on Ovation. Totally used your trip as inspiration. I showed all the videos of your trip to my mom. Like you two did, we're going a few days early to explore Seattle including a pre opening tour of Pikes Market. Can't wait! (Although we've been waiting since 2020!!!)
Hi Heather, My friend and I are on the Ovation on May 20th as well...I cruised on her in 2019...you are going to have a wonderful experience..Happy Cruising...
Doing a 2 week cruise from Calif to Alaska and back. Did it in 2017 and can’t wait to do it again. I have done the Zip Rider in Icy Straight Point. It is AWESOME!!
i’m going in Sept on Ovation. Not convinced I’m going to enjoy it, It looks so cold! I’m doing Best of Skagway, A wale watching/salmon bake and the Lumberjack Show/Crabfeast.
Hi, We have watched this Alaska video several times and could not make out what city the Salmon Bake and trail to waterfalls is. Please advise on location- thanks!
It is technically not a cruise, but if you want the northern lights, the best way to see them is the interior, like Fairbanks area or Delta Junction in the fall and winter.
Can anyone recc any good bear photography tours? I think this will be right up our alley. We will be in ports of Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway in mid June
Hubby and I prefer Viking. It’s all inclusive with no nickle and dimeing you. It’s focused primarily on travel enrichment where you learn about the people, country geology and more. The food is delicious with both buffet, sushi/sashimi and chefs table options. There’s several spas and
FYI, you can see the same group of Humpback whales in Hawaii (Maui) where they mate/give birth. During the peak Jan/Feb it's not a question of whether you will see them or not, but more of what will you see them do and how close. Have seen breaches from shore and while on whale watching trips, competition pods etc. Interesting about the snorkeling trip, not heard of that one before.
Seriously thinking about the heli-tour for Mendenhall. Have you heard anything negative? Nearly all reviews seem positive Great vid by the way! Y’all are good at your craft. 👊🏻👊🏻
My husband and 2 daughters will be sailing to Alaska in July 2022 on the Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas. If you want to really see a whale go to Baja California Sur either Guerrero Negro or San Ingaciso where you can actually pet the whales
