In truth, Christopher isn't really a big talker. Though he often plays very vocal characters, he's pretty quiet in the real world. Tom is a stand-up comedian, so he's got more of a shtick.
He looked to me like all of his 77 years were with him that day. He's fantastic but man, he won't be around forever, and it breaks my heart. Probably, if anything, Tom may have been hamming it up to pull some of the load off of Chris.
At one of the Spike Awards shows, Fox and Lloyd spoke on stage for a bit. Afterwards, as they walk backstage, you can hear Fox say to him “I think that was the most I’ve ever heard you speak.”
Yeah I don't necessarily think Chris hates being there or anything, I think he's just a soft-spoken, quiet individual. And Tom Wilson is...well, you see him here. Even in Tom Wilson's "Biff's Questions Song," when he gets to the part where people ask him how Christopher Lloyd is, he says "kinda quiet."
