    This is amazing! Thank you so much, Noel. I've been learning a lot from your videos. It definitely helped me to improve my floater game. I was having issues with my hands and body position.

    Hi Noel, question, what would be your best high performance groveler for a straight twin in small weak mushy waves?
    Aipa modern twin??

      Akila Contemporary Fish for weak 1-3’ surf with my HP Twins. It’s fast, loose and responsive

    Hey Noel - I surf and skimboard goofy and snowboard, skate, and wakeboard regular. Is this normal? When I try to get up regular when surfing it is horrible as I can’t get up with my right foot going first. I feel like for surfing the front foot should be what you naturally move first. When I try the other sport goofy I also find myself struggling. I’m at a loss as I’m wondering if the stance is what is holding me back from becoming a great surfer.

    Hey Noel,
    I need some help deciding the dimensions and which board to get for my son. He is 15 years old (and growing), weighs 55 kg and is 5ft 7 (173 cm) and is a low intermediate and progressing well. He loves surfing and wants to get either a Firewire Slater Designs Sci-Fi 2.0 or a Flat Earth and wasn’t sure on which board would be better for him as well as what dimensions and volume he should get. He also wants to still be able to ride the board when he gets better and grows. Also, would the Flat Earth run as a thruster well or should he stick with a 2 + 1 if he were going for the Flat Earth? Or maybe the I72 would be better? Any help would be appreciated.

      All 3 of those boards offer excellent performance. I suggest 24-26L and I recommend the Fire Wire Dominator 2.

    Hi Noel, you very often mention that the foot needs to be all the way back on the kick to do solid turns and it's always eluded me how to get there without everything feeling wrong (losing too much speed). My new thought is that to move the foot back for most of the wave your front leg has to be partially squatted to keep the weight forward for speed and indeed when I look at all good surfers they seem to have that front leg squatted very often. What do you think of this? Is squatting your front leg something you consciously do when moving your foot back?

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Weight forward to generate speed is a must even if your foot is all the way back. The easiest way to shift your weight forward is to get low over your front leg. However to do sharp turns you must get that back foot all the way back.
      Most pro surfers constantly move their feet around to maximize speed and maneuverability. It’s pretty rare to see a pro not move their feet around for speed and maneuvers.

    Hey Noel, great videos, I've been learning a lot. Question: have you ever tried a Smoothstar surfskate? how does it compare to the Carver C7 you use?

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I tried the 77 model. They are excellent for rail to rail turns with incredible turning radius. However they are hard to control if you need to push for speed to go up a hill or cruise due to the front truck is so loose. They are also hard to control in speed drills
