The fv4005 is actually currently being restored on the mr hewes TH-cam channel! The fv4005 that is in the tank museum is actually just the turret that they put on a random and newer centurion hull,mr hewes has the hull or at least the correct hull that was actually used in testing and so mr hewes is restoring the hull while the tank museum is getting some parts made to the original blueprints so that the tank can be complete!

Hesh works the best if you shoot the tracks. Idk why but gaijin cant model these things accurately so you may as well abuse the bugs.

just you wait until u face the SU-122-54 on the doom barn that thing is stupidly resistent to HE and HESH one time i tanked a entire 183 MM hesh to the face and he didnt do anything to me and i killed him with my 2 14.5MM coaxial machine guns
I think they fixed it some time, not sure though. It was literally impossible to overpressure it, but now you can.

Ah yeah, well, KV and IS series tanks have these armor schemes that are very resistant to HE, but that still didn't explain how the HESH didn't do HESH things.

I have a love for this thing, but being Warthunder they seem to have no idea how to model hesh properly, and of course it’s always the Russian tanks it does poorly against
when you aim correctly and learn to use it you one shot most of the time . hesh do have penetration and if it hit armor ticker than it can deal whit it will not cause enough damage to destroye a tank in the inside . and this was true even in real life . destroye a tank in real is not about kill all is crew . if the gun and all is destroye is a kill
@@TheJimyyy I know how to use hesh but the damage model is inconsistent, there’s been countless times I’ve hit a spot on a tank that usually one shots and instead I get gaijined and only take out a track and/or gun. Of course that would count as a tank out of action in real life but that’s something Warthunder isn’t, real life
@@stylishlyheartless979 hit track or gun is not because the damage model is not working properly . is just that your shell hit that . gun in the game do have some dispersion like in world of tank but is small . and even if you dont kill the tank normaly in most case it will be rekt and repair for week and you will get a assist if your team is brain dead , and at the end you helped for the win . also asist now work as a kill if you did most of the damage
@@TheJimyyy reading comprehension not a strong suit of yours? I said I have hot spots that normally one shot, for example the turret cheek of a t54, and have had it on,y break tracks. So no you could not be more wrong on that. So what if assists count as kills that doesn’t change the fact that the shell model is wildly inaccurate. And if we’re using the FV4005 as the example, a tank with spaded crew can almost or even completely be repaired by the time you reload. So if you lose a loader and don’t kill them in one shot, or if there are more than one of the, which happens a lot because there’s an entire enemy team, you’ll be pretty screwed if you don’t one shot a tank. The FV4005’s shell has a tnt equivalent of 21.76 kg, and was literally designed for destroying concrete bunkers and buildings, that amount of explosive mass hitting a tank turret won’t just destroy a track and a barrel.
@@stylishlyheartless979 it never happen to me so probadly skill issues . also the fv4005 was never build to destroye conctret and bunkers lol it was a response for the is3 after ww2 and it was made to shot at tank only also if you are close to enemy tank where they can engage you after you fire , you play it wrong ! thats tank is a sniper . you shot at long range and hid untils reload is what i do and i have no problem get close to 10 kill a game most of the time and a t54 turret is tick enough to stop a fv4005 shell it have 200 mm and is rounded so it go over your 220mm of pen on the hesh . if you hit directly on the flat surface beside the gun it maybe can work but yeah is too close to be accurate . there is your issues is not the game is just you

@@Polarfuchs at 8.0 and i think on the strv 103s and i know its on the strv 101 the only not good thing is that Swedish bias is not as power full as Russian bias so be whare when shooting them that curved turret means that even if you hit a hatch it might not kill but it is better then the 183 🅱esh because i did find use in a full uptear and doesn't have a reload so long that it makes good sized navy guns have good reloads to note its on the Swedish centurion but it fires Swedish 🅱ESH not British 🅱ESH and for the stock grind you have a good apds shell
