Hey man Clewiston and Morhaven are my old stomping grounds back when Lykes Brothers owned all the back country and no one knew about Fisheating Creek. Ate a lot of Stomp Knockers and Warmouth Brim out of there...a lot of big frog legs too! When we went to Fisheating Creek we only brought breakfast stuff, soda pop and some canned veggies the rest we caught or foraged for, that's what made camping so interesting, you never knew what dinner had in store for us.
Thank you for all your information Scott very helpful out of the water also the challenges you're going with the TH-cam subscribers is awesome you & Jon B
LiveTarget knocked it out of the park with these swimbaits. Most realistic mass-produced swimbaits on the market. When I first saw them I expected them to be upwards of $15 a piece. I was pleasantly surprised to see them competitively priced for what they are compared to average mass-produced swimbaits. The Yellow Perch one is fantastic. Being in the north our lakes are loaded with perch and the bass gorge on them.
Scott, there are many Pro's out there. I would give up my firstborn to hang out with you for 1 hour. You are a great guy and great for the sport! Meeting you IS on my Bucket List.
enjoyed the video but I think we left one critical part out. I have seen so many experienced guys new to swimbait fishing lose that fish of a lifetime during the 'battle' because they don't know how to fight a fish with a larger than normal bait and hook in its mouth. I've been swimbait fishing for many years and I don't necessarily advocate a sweeping reel down hook set! My personal preference over the years is to drive that hook home hard and take control of that larger fish's head. If you're not careful it's very easy for a larger fish to take control of the angler and gain leverage then turn and twist that larger profile bait right out of their mouth even if you've got em hooked deep. Thanks again for taking the time putting out these videos. Really enjoy them. Loved the way you turned that fish from right to left in the video. Could you explain why you did that and possibly teach it in another swimbait video. My choice in selecting a swimbait rig has just as much to do with 'battling the beast' as it does with casting and retrieving a bait.
I really appreciate these instructional videos. I have been trying to learn swimbait fishing to expand my arsenal and this will help a ton! Great job Scott!!
nothing like a swimbait fish.. good one Scott .. I throw big baits as well.. hudds deps live target trout and more don't know how many times I've struck out on the big baits but when I hook up it's always a solid fish .. keep casting my friend
I watched the 73 miller bass master classic with your father, bill dance and such and amazed at how far everything has come. Very informative as always, I think with your tournament fishing experience and mixing it up with the you tubers is only gonna expand ur fanbase further. Tight lines and happy thanksgiving Scott.👍🏻
Thanks Scott for all the videos you've posted sharing the craft of fishing. With the limited amount of time most of us have on the water, being educated is a necessity and you freely give so much in these videos. Happy Thanksgiving.
Definitely going to be using these techniques next time im going out. Next time Im at the tackle shop Im going to pick up some live target luree. Thanks for another great video Scott!
ive never used a swimbait, just started bass fishing in july lol, senkos and squarebills is all ive really tried so far, but thanks to u and this video im soo much more confident in trying some swimbaits
Great video...will definitely be trying these baits....I have 4 of your TCS rods and absolutely love'em....wish they made the matching Helios reel in lefty....You Da Man!!!
+Scott Martin when do ya start throwing the big baits in the video?? 😉😉 for real though. Nice to see a tournament angler putting out some bigger bait videos. Saw Travis from ltb post these other day and they look pretty cool. Like how the jig hook is a little further back on the bait. 👍🏼. Hopefully I'll get to do another vid with ltb on these little bad boys. 🙌🏼
great video!! my partner and I have been killing it with jerkbaits, soft swimbaits and got a couple doubles with your double fluke idea up here in Jax FL..can't wait to try one of these baits to try to get some bigger ones..really appreciate your awesome videos...love em
Awesome bait Scott. We have a pond here in Massachusetts that has huge red fin gold shiners so big they hit jerkbait s in the fall. 10 11 ins .l got a 7 4 out of it my friend Casey got one pushing 8 -8 .5 out of this lake, That s this year.Cant wait to get one. I'll most likely am moving to Sebastian FL real soon and there going to slam that obviously there nice bait.
I got a couple of questions for you. 1. When throwing the shad will a medium action 7' 6"work too? 2. How big of a treble hook would be best? 3. Would a reel ratio like a 6.6:1 work? Also keep up the great work and hopefully one day I can be on the SMC!
Keep doing what your Scott and you're gonna go up to a mil subs quick. Actually I just got into swimbait fishing this year to compliment my spinnerbait fishing. Let me say it this way, for the whole video you keep excellent info coming right at us. Thanks so much and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family !
Hey Scott! Just ordered some 8 inch swimbaits and was wondering what the best line to use for them would be? Fishing clear water lakes in North Carolina. Thanks for your time!
Any idea when they will hit the market? excited to try the gizzard. Great vid! and thanks for fixing the volume on your vids. perfect now! Loving all the vids! Need to bring back the challenges versus the other pros!
14 isn’t good for big baits but people do use it. He’s not gonna use your bait sadly, this is just a video to sell the live target product because he is sponsored.
I just bought one and I noticed that straight out of the package it has a pretty strong paint smell to it. Do you think this effects anything? Should I spray it with scent?
MAN l REALLY LlKE THAT LlVE TARGET BlG GOLDEN SHlNER. l'VE GOTTA TRY A FEW OF THOSE HERE AT THE STlCK MARSH/FARM 13!!! l DlDN'T EVEN KNOW THESE WERE AVAlLABLE, THANKS SCOTT!!!
Most ponds are going to have bluegills, crappies, and minnows. Most lakes will have shad, which is one of my go to colors every time I fish. Blue, Green, Chart, are all good various of the shad. :)
Scott Martin I'm placing an order but which size would you recommend 5.5 inch or 6.5 inch. I live in Pennsylvania so the bass don't get as big but I'm open to throw almost anything. I'll be buying at least 5 cause Livetarget is my favorite brand and I already own alot of crankbaits and frogs from them so I trust their baits
I know, I'm ate up. Was always a fan of the brand. Your dad always wears one. He is one of the reasons I've always liked them. Thank you for all you do.
What ever you do, do not throw the 3:16 weedless rising son. Also, keep your rod tip ALWAYS pointed at the bait. That will dramatically improve your hook up ratio.
Has anyone else used these swimbaits? I've heard some negative comments about them. durability, missing fish, irregular swim patterns, and the paint chips off easily.
Good video w/great tips. The promotional exagerations in the industry tho are silly. You filmed all day for this, and a snakey 4lber is all the cameras got. Lol. I think ill just keep punching.

Hey Scott! Just ordered some 8 inch swimbaits and was wondering what the best line to use for them would be? Fishing clear water lakes in North Carolina. Thanks for your time!
A lot of the lakes that I fish for bass at also have pike. Would these baits get destroyed after one hit from a pike.
Great vid as usual Scott! What fish finder do you recommend for best use on a small lake between 300-500$. Thanks as always man! keep fishing!
Any idea when they will hit the market? excited to try the gizzard. Great vid! and thanks for fixing the volume on your vids. perfect now! Loving all the vids! Need to bring back the challenges versus the other pros!
crawlin2vgt you can order them now on tackle warehouse but they won't ship until around dec. 1
14 lb test is fine. Scott if you ever read this I have a swimbait not well known that I’d love for you to try. It is absolutely amazing
14 isn’t good for big baits but people do use it. He’s not gonna use your bait sadly, this is just a video to sell the live target product because he is sponsored.

Hey Scott do you have any recomedations for swimbait colors in the Missouri and Kansas area
Most ponds are going to have bluegills, crappies, and minnows. Most lakes will have shad, which is one of my go to colors every time I fish. Blue, Green, Chart, are all good various of the shad. :)
would be sweet to have a more weedles one still pull up weeds pretty easy
Scott, What size treble you use on those livetarget swimbaits? I've got a couple ordered from TW but they're a couple weeks out yet
+wesjanz 2&4
Scott Martin I'm placing an order but which size would you recommend 5.5 inch or 6.5 inch. I live in Pennsylvania so the bass don't get as big but I'm open to throw almost anything. I'll be buying at least 5 cause Livetarget is my favorite brand and I already own alot of crankbaits and frogs from them so I trust their baits
+MuskieHunter 5.5
They don't make a bluegill pattern?
+Kyle Hinds not yet..working on it
Have to ask. Why do you keep the bezel on your Sub at 30 minutes? I'm a watch nut!
+Jim Snyder lol..no reason
I know, I'm ate up. Was always a fan of the brand. Your dad always wears one. He is one of the reasons I've always liked them. Thank you for all you do.
Where do you find your music?
that reel sounds crusty
How can I buy some AFTCO wear.
What ever you do, do not throw the 3:16 weedless rising son. Also, keep your rod tip ALWAYS pointed at the bait. That will dramatically improve your hook up ratio.
Try throwing some weedless 6 in hudds there
Great tips

Thumbs Up!
When i first say those swimbait at the beginning of the video i thought they were real!!!
fish weighted 2.9 ish my guess
Ok thanks
O man I would use a frog where he was at
Good video w/great tips. The promotional exagerations in the industry tho are silly. You filmed all day for this, and a snakey 4lber is all the cameras got. Lol. I think ill just keep punching.

The biggest lie ever “ Live Target makes some of the best baits ever”.
Live target sucks
