    I watch your sketch videos to remind myself that wet dark paints dries lighter, your style really demonstrates not to be afraid of dark paints. This is how I’m learning to use my watercolors better, because when I started I was scared of putting down dark paints on top of light colors. Thank you!

    I love seeing the deep holes in your palette colors. I aspire to paint so much that my own pans look like yours!

    Teoh, I like that your using pencil and watercolor, and you've done it well. I live in Florida so palm trees are very familiar to me. Thanks so much for this.

    I remember seeing many people from the sketch walk draw this scene but thank goodness you drew it here, it looked so peaceful and reminds me of another flight of stairs (there's a temple in Sydney called Chung Tian and these staircases look EXACTLY like it). Really enjoyed watching this~

    Hi Teoh, I love the way the shadows turned out!!! May I ask what brush you are using? It looks really lush and like it can hold lots of water/paint!

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The big brush is a squirrel brush.

    Really enjoyed watching this piece unfold! Love the color palette and I appreciate the thorough narrative you always provide! Just curious - have you ever tried the Hand•Book Journal Panoramic Watercolor sketchbook? It's a very interesting sketchbook at 3.5" x 8.25" (opens to 16.5" across the fold). You do such wonderful panoramic and vertical pieces, I wonder if it would be of interest for you. I have an extra if you'd ever like to try! Cheers and thank you - oh, and congrats on the 100k! Well done! :)

    Hi, can I request a "tutorial" on sketching and painting of Singapore's Central Fire Station? I have been trying to sketch and paint it... 3 times and 3 times not successful. Lol
    Thank you in advance

    I love the verticality of this sketch. When adding shadows, did you glaze pure ultramarine over dried burnt sienna, or did you use a mix of the 2 colors for the glazing?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a mix of Ultramarine and Burnt Sienna
