Hello, cute lady! I'm romanian and I love Mamaia!
In Constanta Area I would recommend: Piata Ovidiu and Ovidiu statue(Ovidius square), Faleza(cliff), Casino(in renovation, so beautiful!), Constanta Dolphinarium, Moscheea Carol, Telegondola Mamaia and so on!

Really nice vlog and thank you for your kind words. Indeed, there has been a huge raise of prices for the Romanian seaside, ups and downs, but, a few reccomendations from a local:
    - If you stay in Mamaia, a better beach (than the enlarged one in the center) is in the north side, Mambo Beach, Cuba Libre Beach, GG Beach. (you will see lots of constructions going on, noise and dust, but on that side of Mamaia, the beach is totally worth it)
    - Visit the Corbu and Vadu virgin beaches and eat at the fishery (also lots of nice accomodations around these villages, but definately need a car for both)
    - Best fun on the entire romanian shore is in Vama Veche. (not so good beach, but definately good fun)
    - Contstanta is also a nice city to visit - it has beaches, good restaurants with sea view and a perfect place for vacay pictures: The Casino. Also, the old city center is really nice and the harbour full of water view restaurants. Affordable city and really nice places to stay.
    Hope my comment is useful!
PS. So sorry to disappoint, but Romania is not better than Bali, maybe more civilized and fun, but the beaches can`t compare :D

You got there in a good period. People stopped going there because it was REAAAAAAALLY expensive so the hotels and restaurants were forced to reduce the priced. Before that you would place 10 times the normal price of the food.
Indeed lately because of this changes Mamaia is no longer as crowded and expensive as before.
But I will confirm that the national sport of romanians is to complain.

Well I consider myself very lucky then😂 it was great our experience but good to know that it has changed lately!.
😅about the sport, I kind of agree! Most people have complained to me about Romania, but I love it so far!

@@dand7763 I understand, for the minimum salary definately it's expensive to pay what we paid, I still think that people can find budget options there. thanks for sharing!

Romanians are their biggest critics, as you know by now :) But I will share something that maybe doesn't get mentioned a lot: Constanta (and its Mamaia district) has been very poorly governed in the past two decades, so poorly that the locals there are some of the unhappiest in all of Romania (based on polls) and many are leaving due to lack of job opportunities. The former mayor, Radu Mazare, was just this year handed a 5-year sentence for corruption related to kickbacks from real-estate deals. And keep in mind that Constanta is not just another city, it is literally the busiest and most important port city on the Black Sea (most goods destined to the EU enter there), and it's the #1 beach city in Romania, so in theory there should be more than enough revenue, both public and private, to be able to improve infrastructure and the quality of life there. I'm not going to pretend like everything Romanians complain about Mamaia has to do with poor management, because things like the fineness of the beach sand or the unspectacular vistas can't be fixed, but most of the problems can be fixed with good planning and management. Cities in Transylvania are far better managed and that's why they look so much better and why most foreigners gravitate towards them. So to make a long story short: Constanta and Mamaia have a lot of potential, it just really depends on who is elected to move them forward.

I’m here now doing some IT upgrade for their banks. This place is a shit hole. The food sucks the seafood is sea scraps octupus tentacles and mussels WTF. If your broke on a budget yeah. But if u are doing well for yourself no!!! I would rather do dubai in mid summer lol!!!!blazing hot. Constanta looks like old Soviet Union shit. The roads are horrible. I had to tell my company to trade my car out for an suv. The people are really nice!!! I love the people. I’m a black man and they treat you really well!! But they need to remember to add flavor to their food. Lol. If u meet some cool locals go hang in the village in the countryside they are cool!!!
