Arend, Annessa, you're so brave to sell everything and travel across the ocean with small kids then wait for the visas, but then since you've landed in Russia you've been protected and cherished by God: you've got a place to live and register, you've become a popular TH-camr with a huge subscriber base, then you've found your dream land and that's where all miracles started to happen: your dream tractor was brought, water found, your first year crop is great and your newly built house is under the roof by the end of the summer, isn't it great?!!! @user-ft9gr6mk9j I had to leave my own home country for a similar set of reasons as Arend, though in my case my only real option was Japan. The country has its own problems, but I can deal with those. I love it here. I'm not exactly farming, but I have a sizeable vegetable garden, and spend most of my time just enjoying life. It's so much better than where I grew up, though I do miss the nature and the people I grew up with (family, friends, and the community). But when the government has literal legal policies designed to oppress you, there just isn't another option but to leave.

I suppose that the reason for the price of a tractor to be cheaper than a car is because it pay less taxes and it's encourage by the government of Russia. Here in the Dominican republic only the very Rich can afford to buy one. My best regards to your family and community. God bless you sir 🙏🏼

Heating: 30-120k RUB per year, depending on the availability of energy resources. The cheapest option is natural gas from us.
Electricity (excluding heating): 2k-3k per month = 24..36k RUB per year.
Water supply: only the cost of replacing filters ~0 RUB
Sewerage: ~0 RUB
Property tax: ~0 RUB
Internet: ~1k per month or 12k RUB per year.
Total: 62k..168k RUB d year. That's 670..1,850 USD per year.
I can't estimate how much it will cost to maintain the farm yet.

I am a Christian who lives here in the United States on a ranch. I wish I had the money to move to Russia. I see no downsides to it, other than a bit of culture shock. If one can respect Russia's laws and leadership, I am certain that anyone with traditional conservative values can thrive there. I would probably choose to live closer to a more populated area though. I enjoyed the restaurants and coffee shop culture when I lived in Boise, Idaho. After seeing some of what the city life has to offer in Russia from other TH-cam channels, it looks like it has a lot to offer.

Yes, in a week or two the city services will probably turn on the heating in the houses, because it is already cold at night, I have to sleep under two blankets. It's a pity that Arend and the family can't connect to the city heating system yet, because it would make their life a lot easier

Аренд, поговорите с ребятами, которые продали Вам трактор. Я думаю, что они смогут сделать крепление на руле и кулису, для переключения задний ход- передний ход для левой руки (возможно съемный, который будете ставить только для погрузки - разгрузки).

В отношении отопления дома. В США и Канаде, кроме традиционного печного отопления в основном используют воздушную систему отопление, у которой есть плюсы и минусы. На территории России и других соседних странах, используют котлы нагревания (открытого или закрытого типа, высокого или низкого давления)- водяные системы отопления (Вода или незамерзающий Этиленгликоль) на газе, по трубе природный газ-метан или газгольдеры -баллонный газ пропан-бутан/жидкостный- горючие жидкости (дизель отработанное масло)/ твердое топливо (уголь, дрова итд). В одном из своих видео Вы сказали (если я правильно понял), что построите отдельную котельное помещения и это правильно. Котельная должна быть отдельно от дома. Это безопасно, нет шума и все системы отопления находятся там и не занимают помещения в доме. Считаю по своему опыту долгого проживания в отдельном доме, как у нас, Вам надо в котельной поставить со всем оборудованием, энергонезависимый (на случае отключения электричества, а настенный котел с электроникой, требует серьезного сервисного обслуживания) напольный котел должен быть с КПД более 91% с расчетной мощностью (у нас экономный Газ-котел КПД 96% "UNILUX") по площади всего дома на квадратный метр - Квт, с или без ГВС (горячее водоснабжения, но тогда котел будет работать годы без остановки) или отдельно газовый/электрический нагреватель для горячего водоснабжения в котельной или на кухне/ванной, проточного или накопительного типа (бойлер). Также к системе отопления на циркулярный насос отопления поставить UPS\Invert 12|24|48 V-220 ~чистый синус, с гелиевым аккумулятором, с зарядкой от сети 220V и Solar baterey, который будет обеспечивать аварийную работу отопления, освещение в доме и на ферме. Дополнительно установите ТТК- Твердо Топливный Котел к системе отопления (уголь, дрова, брикеты) и электрические нагреватели ТЭН, на случае отключения газа или электричества. Вне города, часто отключают электричество и газ- (но газ редко). Поэтому Вы должный предусмотреть многое и быть готовым к таким неожиданностям. Да и ещё у на в доме в самой верхней отапливаемой части дом стоит проточный бак с водой, подключенной к водоснабжению и он помогает, когда воду отключают. Написал бы еще больше по технической части, но на это не хватить многого. Просмотрите информацию в интернете и там тоже многое есть и посоветуйтесь с Хорошими специалистами по этой теме.
