He's an elite player. He started out slow. His first or second play where he ran the ball when he saw his receiver slip was big time elite. Most QB's in college and probably the NFL throw the ball in that situation with an INT as a result.
@@skolvikes9136 size definitely, insane throws yes, all the talent in the world. Nevertheless he is extremely inaccurate for a round one QB. If you can't see that on tape you're blind. Dude missed a third of his wide open passes on his frikin' pro day, I don't even remember seeing a pro day look bad. If you think you can fix him, then by all means draft him. But the risk is higher with him than the other top 5 guys at the position.

0:34 I'm absolutely appalled by not only how poorly this play was executed by UNC, but how Tez Walker still gets wide open. The bottom receiver gets jammed, the RB slips on his route, and Maye sails this into the UNC sideline. This would drive me bananas as a HC
Maye would have needed to throw that ball immediately to Tez. Otherwise that’s not open at all. If he threw that in the nfl, The WR would have been killed or it would have been picked off. Cover 2 man to man, the safety is there to takeaway that go ball.
@@Kodiakk that would’ve had to be a picture perfect throw, and we dont know what hes supposed to be reading. My thought was that if the CB bails then hes supposed to go to the out
He wasn’t bad he played great had thrown ball great but both his interceptions were cause by his receivers who dropped the ball and caused the interceptions. He ran the ball for 109 yds with 9 carries.
Elite prospect. Watching the all 22 compared to broadcast view is a massive difference. Throws with great anticipation
How people have him as a top 2 player in the draft I'll never know...

lol … elite size and arm. Throwing guys open, anticipating throws into open windows, runs like a deer. Only 21 years old. What ru watching?

His footwork seems like it has to be completely reworked.
Maye is still a little Raw but that doesn’t equate to him not being worth No.2 overall.
12:01 did Hampton score after this?
The pass to Walker was reviewed and ruled a TD

If he threw that 2 things would have happened: Tez wouldve got killed or it woulve been picked.

Yeah I have no idea how people look at this and say he played bad
He can make all the throws but can't quite identify certain looks . A good oc is needed plus good wrs.
He doesn't seem to like the checkdowns. His running back was open quite a bit for easy yards. His wide receivers didn't help him any either.
Drake maye = Daniel Jones
Without Daniel Jones athleticism at that...
He's a bad Mitch Trubisky
DJ straight up can’t read a defense, Maye has better arm talent as well
this is supposedly his worst game? patriots got a good one
Watch UVA game is his worst

Maye not surrounded by the talent UNC has had in the past. Teams are desperate for QB so they will always be over valued.
NC States field is absolutely terrible, just look at it. First 3 minutes and there have been at least 4 slips by UNC players.
I’ve never seen so many guys slip on a field
