I have felt pretty good about the Irish’s odds in every game this season. But this game I do not. I believe our run game will be bottled up and Georgia’s O-line will have its way unless Denbrock and Golden can scheme exceptionally well this game.
After watching some Stockton highlights … I think Golden needs to dust off and tweak his approach to Caleb Williams and USC from ‘23. I was pretty despondent after the loss of Mills. But I have a lot of faith in Golden. I’m more confident now. I think it will be a fight, but I’m cautiously optimistic. Go Irish!
@ He was a phenomenal college QB. Heisman winner, #1 overall pick in the draft. And he was … most significantly … a mobile QB who could make plays with his arm and his legs. He’s a good archetype for preparing for Stockton. The fact that Williams never won a championship is, frankly, irrelevant.
ND lost its second game of this year because the players all thought their opponent was not worthy of even playing ND. Their mental state was terrible resulting in the players did not play up to their potential. This was the coaches fault for not getting the players mad enough to play tough. MKL
@RipJewels also Freeman's comments before the game, Riley wanted to let it loose and MF told him to do exactly as the coaches tell him. Can't bottle up lightning.
because leonard is a one read passer and denbrock simply cannot do what he wants to offensively because leonard is unable to execute consistently. notre dame has thrived on the running game. that is not going to happen against georgia. it's going to come down to leonard making plays in the pocket and it's going to be a long day for him in that regard. i can see freeman making the change to angeli at some point in this game but that won't be enough. notre dame has good talent. georgia has elite talent. this unfortunately will play out in this game.
The key with Gunner vs Beck that people don’t talk about: Carson was 6’4 and could make throws over the middle. Gunner is 6’1 (likely closer to 5’11 to 6’0) and didn’t try that against Texas
And how tall was Stetson Bennett since he’s shorter than Stockton? Stockton is more highly rated than Beck and he also fits Monken’s playbook that Georgia is running far better than Beck. Monken hasn’t developed a pocket passer and his playbook his more Taylored for a duel threat QB Stockton came in after halftime and had a handful of plays him and the coaching staff were comfortable running. Stockton opens up a running game Beck had no chance of opening….Georgia ran for 164 yards in the second half versus Texas
@ they’re running the offense Monken was brought to Georgia to install…..which is designed more for a duel threat QB, and Stockton has been committed to Bobo since Bobo was at South Carolina…..it’s the QB Bobo has wanted since Stockton was a freshman in high school, and Stockton was trained by Mike Bobo’s dad since he was around 6 years old
Kirby got yall right where he wants yall doubting us a little bit more questions about qb and team play after becks injury remember bama backup i know this is 2024 but history repeats
I would love to say we got this.... But Riley Leonard throws about as accurate as a high school cheerleader lol we have to be able to pass the ball and score touchdowns. Acting like Leonard is a duel threat is laughable, he's barely a running threat.
Both teams are going to load the box and force the QBs to throw the ball to keep their running games viable. But this is the second worst rushing team YPG from Georgia in 30 years.
UGA is going to demolish ND. Idk why we’re pretending like it’s not obvious. UGA has been playing tough teams all year while ND’s toughest opponent was Indiana..😂

Williams never won a conference championship game nor a bowl game. I'm not sure he is really a good pattern.

Coaches sent the team that message when they pulled back on practice and held a walk through on Thursday!!!!

Leonard is going to have to make some plays with his feet and with his arm. Sounds basic, but it’s the truth.
I got ND 30-20
I'm sorry to say, but ND is going to score more than 24 pts on them
😂 what makes you think that?

all georgia needs to do is put 7 in the box every play and force notre dame to throw.
stop the running game and a win is virtually guaranteed.
