Not a single smartphone. Not even in Back to the Future. What a wonderful world it was.
Man.. all those movies.. I was 7 -8 year old . My grandpa had a room full of VHS and bought a nintendo NES for me and my borther and another one to stay at his home so we could play there at the room . We used to watch a lot of movies,good movies and play the Nes. Had not to many friends and school was hard , too many problems. But this thing saved my chilhood, movies and games. Thank you grandpa wherever you are.

Well i was born in 98 and i would like to live back in 80' .. what a cool time ..
I never existed in the 80s but I’m fascinated by all of it. I’ve seen all of these movies and about 200 more. I have thousands of 80s songs in playlists. The music, the movies, photos, stories, etc make it a real cool era to be alive. I really do wish I could have been there for it. It seems like people back then weren’t so crazy like they are now. I think smartphones, internet, social media, etc have really changed society…and not necessarily for the better.

What I miss the most is not having mobile phones. When you go outside, you get to be at peace. Somebody calls you and you are not at home, too bad, they should call at the right hour. Now anybody can just contact you any time and make you stressed about stuff cause you need to be there 24/7. I miss the phone line :/
These videos make the movies look so much better though. When I was a kid many of these movies were just ok, just like the movies now are just ok. Series sucked, like Love boat that was the only thing showing at daytime. Macgyver and Knight Rider was ok but your selection from tv and vhs was very limited. Now one can just watch anything from the internet and the quality of series is way better. But there were some great stuff once in a while like the Predator in the late 80's, the Thing , Airplane! and Leslie Nielsen movies are still great!

The 80s were the golden age of Generation X. Gen Xers who were born between 1965 and 1975 were the only ones who could truly enjoy and appreciate the 1980s to the fullest, as it was the decade of our youthful adolescence. Baby Boomers were too old to appreciate the 80s and Millennials born in the 80s were too young to really experience what it was like.

Come on, let's be honest... Those of us born in the '80s were born too late. I was born in '81, so I at least had the luxury of living through practically all of the the '80s, but even then, I wish I was born ten years earlier, to have been a teen in the '80s (instead of the '90s).
That said, It was still a great time being a young kid in the '80s. The toys and cartoons were a lot of fun.

I'm more of a 90's kid, (which was also a really fun era). Nostalgia is a fun nice feeling, but there is way much more to it than that. This era was truly very special.. There definitely was an innocence, but also things felt more real, people felt a bit closer, stronger even.. I truly love the technology we have today, and I'm excited to see where it goes from here, but there's something missing, also people just seem less close, easily offended and angered.. I don't like it, and it seems to be getting worse.

People were concerned about being replaced by manufactoring robots in the car industry, scanners replacing women doing that job in banks etc, and not to mention the "fear" of computers (Terminator?) or even in DIE HARD 2. What about malfunctioning nuclear missile launch detection during cold war, INES 6 and 7 accidents and the upcoming Y2K bug...?

Ok. I think I got the plot of this.
"Saved By The Bell" is a 1984 flim by John Hughes with a large ensemble cast. The film starts with Marty McFly (Michael J Fox), a teenager in 2015 who is warped back in time with the help of a special computer by Gary (Anthony Michael Hall) and his friend Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell-Smith). They recruit McFly to help save the Shermer High School dance, enlisting friends Gary makes in detention; Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick), a laid back delinquent who is a computer genius; Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio), a picked-on student learning Karate to fight a trio of bullies (Bill Paxton, Robert Downey, Jr, and William Zabka); and Ren and Joel (Kevin Bacon and Tom Cruise), two students who have a passion for dancing, but must do it in private to hide their secret from the town.
McFly is hunted by four time police officers (Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis), who want to prevent him from disrupting the space-time continuum. Also investigating is contemporary wisecracking detective Axl Foley (Eddie Murphy). McFly and the kids teach the rest of Shermer High and Shermer, Illinois about the awesomeness of dance and music.
