Mike, from time to time I go back and watch older videos. I have to say that of all the videos I have watched over the years, I think this is my favorite. You did such an amazing job!!
Beautiful pages! I love the use of the Mega Flake on the leaves. They are gorgeous! So happy that Shannon Green sent me to your channel. I have really enjoyed all your videos. Thanks for sharing!
On our side of the pond, the helicopters come from maple trees. Google tells me it is the . . . sycamore maple! And they are beginning to turn. Your page is a wonderful take on the season.
OMG, Mike! I have never seen this gilding product before!!! At first I thought you were using mica flakes - - I was saying to myself, "What's he doing!? The way he's rubbing, that stuff will just obliterate the glued outlines!" Ha Ha on me tho! After you brushed off the flakes, I realized it was gold leaf!!! How amazing! No waste. Plus the glue and outlines stay in place wonderfully. I'm impressed. Thanks so much for this video. I love surprises!
Love this spread, Mike! Especially love that burlapy stencil you used first. And, I'm the proud owner of a Dymo...thankfully I got home with the exact one!
Dreamtears here, I haven't unsubscribed, just decided to go with my real name in the art journal community ^^ The only bad thing about the Dymo LetraTag is that I'm so used to qwerty, I even have training in keyboard typing (the faster you typed correctly the higher score and grade. I did very well :P), so it takes me a few minutes to rethink how to type on it :P Lovely page as usual ^^
Ah true, but I think you're just reaching for excuses now :P I end up mostly using my own hand writing though, I'm not fond of it, but it's a part of me, just like the art I do. It does help that I used to have a written journal for a long time. Although art journaling is more fun ^_^
Fantastic page as always. ☺ I'm curious tho; you spoke in the beginning about a plan & how you never know if your vision will translate to the page. Did the page reflect your vision? I think it is beautiful of course. TFS. I always look forward to your videos. 😄
+Leigh Mackie The image idea that I had in my head was pretty much what appeared on the page, so I'm lucky in this case as the colours and flake all worked the way I hoped. It doesn't always happen that way! XO
I love the Autumnal flavor your giving. I'm looking for gold flake at a good price. They would be a wonderful addition to any art journaler. ** You sold some of your stamps?!? Did you say this before and I just missed it? I would have bought some, I think. I'm always looking for something to new add to my small stash of stamping images. Please let us know if you're having a Shedding sale again. I bet your stock is choice.
+Thomas Tymstone I sold off most of my Stampin' Up! stamps, they were taking up too much room! I had over 100 sets..lol It's now down to 30, but most of those are being sold off soon too! I'll let you know!
Beautiful work!! The Mega Flakes really add an elegant touch with those autumn background colors. Love it and as always, TFS!

💚💚💚💚
BTW, Is the glue you used specially made for gold leaf?
+cat yeah Hi cat, no it's just PVA.
Do you have a finished idea in your head before you start? More or less.
