@realdecoy I'm glad you like it. I don't do any edits as I haven't got a clue how to do it. So I just press record on my phone. I'm not exactly tech savvy. 🤣 Thank you for watching 👍

@marcgoesblindgaming2076 thank you for watching and subbing. I got plenty more to come. I got rid of that cigarette smell with some lemon wipes. I had a load of the old KFC style wipes in a box that worked perfectly. 👌
@accessarea6 oh mate, the ps1 has loads of different colours for those clear controllers and memory cards. I've got 3 coloured memory cards on hold for me as I just didn't have the money on me at the time. Looks like a second collection has started haha
Great video mate, enjoyed it. Some fantastic pick ups and some cracking bargains as well. Make sure to not pull the cardboard strip too quickly, tease us with it. Haha just kidding (or am I 🤭). Nice to see your subscriber counts going up, you come across as a really likeable guy who loves his hobby, which makes your channel really watchable. Keep ‘em coming 👍
@tazmo2237 ah you like a slow peel of that strip, I will make it slower next time for sure. Thank you for the kind words, I just want to share my collecting with others and to me the ps1 is the best system ever made.
I like the see through pads and consoles, went through a phase of buying everything transparent for my set up 😂! 40 winks is a decent 3D platformer mate, well worth a play!
I thought the world had gone mad when you mentioned the price of akuji, but checking sold listings on Ebay sanity returned its about a 20 quid game mate, im sure your not daft enough to rely on the just the asking price on ebay ;) I've got a few of the colour variant pads they are pretty cool must admit! nice little subset to go for! I believe they marked the pre owned games (with markers etc) to distinguish them from the new copies (makes sense back then, pain in the wotsit today!)
@tootyuk yeah I think the price went crazy due to the recent rumours of a remaster/remake. I would never pay those crazy asking prices on ebay, im a savvy buyer so I'll either wait or shop around. I'm so tired of the crazy ps1 prices that I have to be savvy.
Really good collection mate. I loved the ps1 but most my games were chipped back in the day apart from a game called wild 9 which I used to love. probably wouldn’t be any good now though haha
@GarethJohnson-uv1qb I had hundreds of them back in the day and most of mine were copies too. Getting all the ones I loved back then again is pretty much what set the challenge to collect them all off. Believe it or not, wild 9 is still a blast to play. Yeah it's aged a fair bit but the gameplay is still 👌
@Smaug237Gaming I don't have a massive amount of space either. I have 2 walls in the whole house that I'm allowed for games. Haha. I built my own unit though.
@Waynesworldofgaming yeah the guy is selling loads of ps1/ps2 peripherals and games for cheap. I forget the name of his shop but I'll do a shout for him soon as his prices are crazy good. Plus he's got loads of ps1 stuff saved for me like coloured memory cards and such.
Loving the series mate it still blows my mind how many PS1 games I don't know about haha I'll have to keep an eye out for Akuji and Syphon Filter is up there for me as a top game on PS1!
@retro_rummage_ I hadn't picked akuji up until now as it was really cheap just a few a couple of months ago. It's not a rare game either so no idea why it's suddenly worth about £100. Remake maybe? Now I've gotten syphon filter 1, I need to complete the subset and get the other 2. I hate having incomplete subsets. If you like old school rpgs like I do, the ps1 is a treasure trove of hidden gem rpgs. I find a new one all the time.
My results were not perfect but a dry wipe marker onto permanent marker will lift it, results tend to depend how long the permanent marker has been in place. Plenty of videos on YT showing how it's done, not tried it on a disc, like the EB atop your disc, the technique is safe on shiny cardboard surfaces and works best when the dry wipe is applied directly above what needs to be removed.
@mark-andrews I knew about that trick, but I honestly forgot about it. I've been using a mix of isopropyl alcohol and water. It's works on most things but I'm too bothered about it on discs.
@@AnotherNormalYorkshireman I did see that recently, was on ebay and saw there was no pal tactics. I couldn't believe we were robbed. (I'm from the midlands!) I played it on psp, gutted we never got it here on ps1. I did spy a collection of japanese final fantasy 7, 8, 9 cases i wanted to get. The box art alone looks sweet. Sadly can't play it due to lack of japanese console 🤣
@Rocko_onionprince yeah the Japanese artwork is usually loads better than pal territories. If your ps1 is mod chipped, it will play Japanese games. But the text will be in Japanese.
@retroimportgamer513 this is something I've been actively thinking about. I'm thinking maybe some clips to hold the pads attached to the shelfs between games. So a row down one side or across the front. I gotta get a few more yet though.
I didn’t know there was so many ps1 games. Was wondering why no ps2 mentioned but I guess you have no emotional connection so that could be it, anyway I don’t know why I watch these vids but I do so I subbed good luck mate
@plinkitworld5927 thank you for watching, it's very much appreciated. Yeah my late childhood/early teens were all about the playstation and the dawn of the 3d gaming era. Just something about the games that feels great, especially the rpg games. I have a few ps2 games but it's only the ones I had at the time. Gran turismo and gta, that's about it.
Really good collection you've got, do you use an app like CLZ game to keep track of how many you have? If you don't you could always "show you collection" in a video scanning them all into the app. Obviously if you don't want to use one that fine. Also I want to get a full PlayStation set of UK final fantasy games (maybe not ff 11 or 14 as there mmo's) and the only ps1 games in need are ff1-5, am i correct in saying that its only the ff origins and ff anthology that are left? as ff3 wasn't released on PlayStation?
@PSNVenOmZ yes just origins and anthology. I think 3 is only available on playstation through the pixel remaster collection on ps4. I could be wrong though. I actually use data i pulled from a website that I printed and I tick them off as I collect them. I haven't heard of that app, I will check it out. 😀
@AnotherNormalYorkshireman ok cool, will keep any eye out for them. Yeah, clz games, let's up add all the games you have. It takes the price of each game from pricecharting so you can get a pretty good idea of how much your collection is worth. You can add how much you got them for, where you got it from if you want to, if its loose, complete, new, and things like that. I believe it is only £20 a year. Obviously, you don't have to, but it's doing me well so far.
Did your copy of Dave Mirra Maximum Remix come with the soundtrack CD? I bought it without not long ago myself, hoping I could pick up the CD at some point! It doesn't come up complete that often though
@8bitH no cd with my copy either. I didn't know it came with one originally. So that's another piece I'm going to have to find too. Thank you for that heads up. I like to get them as complete as possible
@GunV-qu2nm no i just collect playstation. I dont have room or the nostalgia for xbox or Nintendo really. I did consider collecting for the n64 but the prices for good condition games is getting crazy. I do plan on doing a full collection video in the near future. I was asked for that recently by another person, so I will film that soon. Thank you for watching. 🤙
@GunV-qu2nm well I focused on going for games that I had back in the day to start with, then I started buying up cheap bundles on vinted and Facebook marketplace. Also, charity shops are great for finding valuable games that can be traded in or sold to fund the games you really want. I've had a few charity shop finds that have funded some fairly expensive ps1 titles. It also depends on the system you want to collect for too. 360 prices are a mix right now but if you collect ps3, now is the best time as games are still cheap. But as soon as sony announce the ps3 store closure, the games will go crazy in price.
