      not only that, he also makes almost no errors. It's jarring to listen to reading where errors are made semi-regularly.

    Glad I bought this book. I've been making the yogurt for about 2 months and drinking the clove tea every day. after trying a myriad of other suggested remedies, this is the only one that actually works. It only took about 6 weeks of steady improvement on this regimen before achieving 100% remission.

      Hi NA, just wondering, do you use a yogurt maker, instant pot or a stove top warmer burner to make your yogurt, and if you are using a yogurt maker, is it stainliess steel? I have not made it yet, I can't find organic a2 milk or cream, or goat milk in my neck of the woods, but I will contact 2 more farmers today. I would really like to make this yogurt (Crohn's, colitis and celiac). Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

      @@doloresguertin9601 I am using the Lakeland Multi Yoghurt and Soft Cheese Maker from Amazon UK. It is plastic. I probably should have bought a glass or stainless-steel one, to avoid endocrine disruptors. I have yet to test the accuracy of the temperature setting, which I set to 40 degrees.
      The first three batches I made with full-cream UHT milk, which made for quite a sour yogurt, The one I made this week was with single cream, which tested much better and was quite a bit thicker. The starter I used was from a few capsules of NutriZing "Live Cultures for Women" (although I am not female) containing L.Reuteri and L. Rhamnosus. I also added two small scoops of inulin powder and left it for 36 hours or so. The next yogurt I will make with B. Coagulans.
      Hope it helps.

      @@dpstrial Thanks so much for your reply, at least you are experimenting. I'm feeling a little intimidated, but still looking for goat milk. Ideally I would like raw milk, but that is a dead end where I am. I'm at this moment testing out the warming burner on the stove top and think I may start there. Most of the yogurt makers are plastic and the stainless steel ones that I see have heat settings that seem too high. Have a smooth day

    • @dpstrial
      @dpstrial 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@doloresguertin9601 The only place you can legally buy raw milk in the UK is at a very small selection of farms. Some people make yogurt with milk alternatives. I have not tried them and am not likely to either.
      I don't think making yogurt is a particular art form, but what will be is choosing or finding the strains of bacteria that work for your gut. It sounds as though you need the species and strains that help produce and maintain mucus. Good luck.

    I am so busy making use of the practical tips that not had time to finish reading the book. Made two of the homemade yogurts so far and they both are far superior to anything bought in a store, and a super super cheap way to get plenty of healthy probiotics!
    Been taking the fiber XOS since 2017 but will now make some major additions to keep the akkermansia muciniphila in balance.
    I make a very delicious sauce to put on just about anything with garlic and turmeric and shallot and ginger cooked in olive oil and butter and with certain common spices added.
    Been using the sous vide stick not only for the yogurt but to cook chuck roasts that are tastier and more tender than the expensive steaks, and without the high temperature cooking that can alter proteins.
    Got a question.
    If the body has such robust ability to make saturated fat in the liver, why does it not have the same capacity to make unsaturated fat? ( Malcolm Kendrick mentioned that in his new book " The Clot Thickens " -- also excellent )

    are you referring to all ketogenic diets as insufficient in prebiotic intake? I actually find that my soluble fiber intake is significantly higher while I'm on a keto diet. I actually have to watch my fiber intake or I'll eat enough to cause a noticeable increase in my... gaseous probiotic byproducts

    I have a question concerning your oxytocin producing yogurt, does this have the same detrimental effect to the brain that say taking ecstacy would have? Is this like doing drugs? Wouldn’t that put people at risk for schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, and diseases related to the overuse of drugs? Or being that it’s a byproduct of the stomach flora is it different somehow?

    Hello Dr, I'm reading your Super Gut book. I think that you are a genius. Question, is it safe to use 15 pills instead of 10 to make the l. reuteri yogurt ? Would that yield us even better results. ? Thank you.

    • @jh4675
      @jh4675 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. No improved benefit. That's why Dr. D chose 10 tablets. His followers are actually now successfully experimenting with making "starter" batches using only one (1) tablet plus 1/4 cup Half and Half and1 teaspoon inulin which we ferment for 36 hours. This subsequent batch then can be used as a starter to make another full batch with the 2 Tablespoons of inulin and 1 full quart of Half and Half. We freeze the whey and extra yogurt in ice cube trays then pop the cubes out into Ziplock bags to store in the freezer as starters and on and on. This enables you to use your one BioGaia Gastrus purchase for years!!! It is working very well!! His groups have such fun being mad scientists in our kitchens with these probiotic adventures.
