Will be flying exactly the same flight in Biz soon. As a Swiss with a Chinese heritage seeing you go the extra mile with the correct pronunciation made me smile every single time 😅 great content - subscribed.
Nice review again, the breakfast was definitely the highlight of this flight and you didn’t used any music during your video and I quite liked that. It was relax to listen.
Multiple fly with XIAMEN airline they're worth the price , if you have 7h + transit they provide free accommodation, The price is cheap if compare to luxury airline like emirate .... etc, i love chinese airline because of affordable price for business class whenever i see people complain it kind of piss me off , since they want luxury should go for luxury airline. The only problem is Xiamen Airport WIFI which require phone number to connect.
If you fly with MF flights depart from their home bases Xiamen XMN and Fuzhou FOC, you can enjoy some local Fujian cuisine. Just note that you might need to make a booking for special meals (also available for economy). I think some of the negative reviews might be down to the mid-short haul flights operated by the narrowbodies or the inconsistency of the ground staff, but they’ve improved over the past few years. Their intercontinental flights are always solid.
Thank you for your insights. I have another MF video coming up, medium haul on a narrow body. What I can reveal so far: they didn’t disappoint, so I guess they indeed may have improved.
Very cool, You asked us if you should go deeper into the IFE stuff, I would like more of that in general. The google translate ,,xiamen" was very funny. Generally a very good and informative video
I was pleasantly surprised by this review. I was expecting about a 5/10 rating. Also, given your height, when I first saw the seat, I thought that definitely you would not have enough room. The pluses for me that I noticed were a hard working and pleasant crew, direct aisle access, roomy seat, the ability to leave your seat during meal service and the breakfast looked quite substantial, which isn't always the case. I think I would be willing to fly Xiamen if the opportunity arises.
It was one of the better business class experiences. And I have flown on China Eastern business class a week later, which’s seats looked bigger, but I actually had less room. Video will follow soon:)
Greetings my world traveler, it is June 12th 8PM here in The USA…. lol you did what I would do and use google to speak the name of the airline… nice! I love all the liquor, Delft homes, not sure if I spelled that right , but yeah that’s really a great idea KLM did there, love KLM . WOW! That is a small setback for you for sure. Once again, as I’ve said before, most all carriers across the pond that is outside of the United States really know how to do a pretty good Inflight service from the china to the food presentation compared to what they offer in the United States. Häagen-Dazs is my favorite ice cream next to Ben & Jerry’s, which is an American company. At least it use to be😮 lucky for you that you were able to sleep! Being that I was a Flight Attendant all those years I just till this day can’t sleep Inflight. Great breakfast service. Now, if I was the flight attendant, I would’ve approached you and said hello Mr. so-and-so, have you had the opportunity to review the menu selection for our journey today that is located in the seat back pocket in front of you? 😊 I wonder, but do you have a way to correspond privately off of TH-cam? That is, do you have a link published that I could email you ? Anyway , as always a great and fair review and I really enjoy viewing them. Fly safe and God Bless! …. …. .. . ->- Brian
Thank you so much for your continued support, much appreciated:) I agree, Asian carriers are just another league compared to European and American ones. Of course there are always exceptions. My e-mail should be displayed in my YT channel main page/profile. If not, then pls let me know, I‘d need to check the privacy settings. Greetings, Chris
Thank you: I subscribed. Your English is good and easy to understand, plus you have a wide vocabulary. Well done! The food looks better than in one other J class review I viewed, but still not quite up to the standard of Taiwanese, Filipino, Singaporean or Korean legacy airlines in business class. Not many use mainland Chinese airlines from Australia to get to UK/Europe: many of us object to the Chinese Communist Party's authoritarianism, and the food to some extent puts me off. Plus usually other Asian or Middle Eastern carriers are cheaper: the mainland Chinese airlines seem to survive on local bookings i.e. China-Australia.
Thank you very much for your kind support:) It is true what you say about the objections and also the food. I always try to review new Airlines as unbiased as possible, allowing my viewers to form their own opinion.
Hi! Do they weigh your carry on and are they very strict on carry on luggage weight? Also, am I able to have a carry on and a personal item? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I only can talk for business class, and there I didn’t see anyone’s carry-on being weighed. In general, I only saw Nok Air and Air Asia weigh luggage at the boarding gate, if I‘m not mistaken. But of course I haven’t tried all Asian airlines (yet).
As a local, I am very opposed to the English name of Xiamen Air. I think it should be renamed "Amoy Air". First, it is difficult for foreigners to pronounce "Xiamen" this word. Many people pronounce it as Sherman Airlines 😂. Second, the name"Amoy" is older and more widely known to foreigners and the world. Moreover, "Amoy" is easy to pronounce and this word from our local language, while "Xiamen" is pronounced in Chinese (Mandarin).
@@forgotmypassport Before the Communist Party took control of mainland China in 1949, this island city was always called Amoy. Amoy (Xiamen) also has a long history of exchanges with the West countries. The flight from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Sydney, Australia via Amoy (Xiamen) sometimes costs only over 3,000 RMB(€400 Euros), which is very cheap.
That is very cheap indeed for such long flights.
