I think it is a good thing that this watch doesn't have spring bars. They are a point of failure. So I like watches which DON'T have spring bars for that reason. They will stay on your wrist whatever you do. The stamped clasp is ok and you don't see it almost never. Solar, radio controlled, 20 bars water resistant, light function etc. you cannot beat this watch....
The silver text seems to only appear on the rubber-banded models. I ended up swapping the bracelet off and putting it on mine. Either way, it's an awesome piece. And clearly, they're tough little guys.
For a G-Shock, I actually thought they were pretty good. I'm not a fan of black on black or negative displays because of the poor legibility. I thought the indices here and subdials were pretty legible. I ultimately ended up getting a GMW-b5000. Now, that thing is legible. Lol.
@@chrisswatchbox7378 talking about the GSTs, I much prefer the dial on the GST-W330D, GST-S330AC or GST-W130C. The indices are lumed better and much clearly contrast. I have tried them all and this one doesn't compare in that regard.

just bought this with black strap. Fuuuuuucking love it. So manly. Went diving with it handled like a champ.

i have that model but casio in red letters and also have my casio riseman for about 10 years and still rocks....

Wow! You caught that! I bought the metal banded version and then swapped them. It was a lot of work, but I was able to recoup the cost.

I completely agree. I ended up picking up a GMW-B5000 to fill that role.

It's a pretty standard volume--maybe around 5% quieter than on the DW5600?
where did you get the metal strap ?
It's an OEM bracelet from Casio. I'm not sure you can't purchase it separately.
