Jan, I've wanted to write you several times to have a dialogue with you regarding participating (or, more specifically NOT participating) in commercial competitions. If there is one that I might suggest in a real pinch for you, it would be the Chopin. The ONLY reason I might suggest it for you is your expertise in the repertoire, and the natural affinity for the people that comes through so wonderfully in your interviews and playing. To give the gift of your inerpretation would be fantastically received in concert, for sure; probably in competition as well. Beyond these considerations, I happen to agree with you without exception. Well done!
