Great video Demetri, as always. But I just wanted to tell you, you can absolutely preview a sound in premiere without dragging it onto the timeline! If you double click it, it shows up in the Source Monitor where you can scrub through and choose an in and out point to drag portions of it onto the timeline.
Hi Charlotte, I know you can do that haha. But I like having eagle on the other screen and just having to hover over it to play. That was more my point than anything and sorry if I didn’t make that clear
I didn't find interesting the fact of storing the images inside a catalog file. If for some reason the file becomes corrupted, everything is lost apart from the fact that everything is duplicated. For me this sucks and other apps can't use the same folder structure.
Yeah another great way to work with eagle but my main gripe is that it copies the files you add to it in it's own library fold. when you have hundreds of Gigs worth of audio and footage it's hard to use it as a DAM.
If you're mainly working with images and videos on a Mac, Eagle might not seem necessary - although the color sorting feature alone is worth the $29, and it is still a great organizer with more options than Mac's defaults. If you're on Windows, it's a complete game changer. Question: the assets saved directly to Eagle - when they get deleted in Eagle, how to tell if they're deleted off the disk as well? Eagle's file naming system isn't helpful for that at all.
Once you import your media into Eagle, you now have a duplicate. Your local files and the eagle library are not linked by the actions you make in either one.

Unfortunately I will probably not do that as I don't manage my workflow in that way

I don’t believe they do delete off of the main disk by default
