Thanks for posting this very informative diagnostic video. I love how in all these videos you guys screw around and laugh and joke but really appreciate how you stopped and had Detig explain what was wrong with the ambulance and how he diagnosed the problem. He has a wealth of knowledge and it is great to have him back on the channel.
I'm from Hawaii and I was just in Riverside , California. I wanted to see your shop and buy some merchandise. I was there to drop off my son to college at CBU.
Airtabs are supposed to help with air drag for better fuel economy. I can't tell a difference on fuel but in high wind they help with balance. Also help in rain and snow to help see down my trailer. I won't run my semi without them.
I'm a tow truck driver and I do this everyday. It's sketchy sometimes. I been hit twice in the torso/ribs by side mirrors at 60-70 mph and boy is it painful
My sending unit was dead for 5+ years on my LMM. I did the tripometer method and it got me a few times! Fortunately never on a freeway. If you ever have to prime these make sure you crack the bleeder screw and pump until there’s no air coming out. Should start right up.
Gotta slap some strobes in the bronco. Hate when my DMAX loses prime, pumping that primer takes forever (for my truck anyway), i was trying to save up for a lift pump, but turbo decided it wanted to grenade itself
My 2001 Suburban with the 5.3 has a fuel sending unit problem and a few times it took so long to prime that my battery burnt out, then it melted the alternator cable frying the alternator melted the stud off, redlined the engine, now a diesel that’s another thing
I have to say something I thought he was a master Diesel mechanic on that year duramax where the fuel filter is your supposed to pump it until it gets hard to push there’s even a black plastic screw that’s your bleeder to get all the air out of the system
I had 0 tools in my truck haha. I looked and came up with nothing. Also I’ve rebuilt my filter housing so it has the brass one too. In an attempt to get off the highway as quickly as possible I just pumped it.
If there are more problems with that ambulance there is a place up in Oregon that converts them and they would more than likely know what’s happening and help you out…
Does he just make up stuff the more he talks the wires are twisted like that for for no reason besides it makes all the wires look cleaner and wire’s all over the place
Twisted pair cabling is a type of communications cable in which two conductors of a single circuit are twisted together for the purposes of improving electromagnetic compatibility.

Impressive detig getting that all figured out. Great job.😊
Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. If it wasn't from ford our tools would rust. 😂
I always knew that Detig was an automotive genius.
Or maybe even an electronic wizard.
As long as you don't count the park where he runs out of gas.
Excellent job diagnosing the ambulance Detig!
as a HD diag tech I love the in depth explanations even if its a problem I will never encounter.
Dedic is that dude that ask to borrow 20 bucks once a month 😂

Love the readers digest explanation of the electrical system of the tv ambulance and the new shop employee “Bryan”!!
love it!!!!!!!! the GTA Ryan should make several appearances on the channel. lol or should I say "B-Ryan"
That’s crazy how many people don’t attempt to get over. Where I’m at they move over for the most part.
They don't even think about it, it's crazy
Derrick is so smart
All you have to do is pop the bleeder screw pump it toe fuel comes out and then you’re good. You don’t have to do what he was doing.
I didn’t have any tools on me at the time. Cut me some slack lol. I did what was quickest to get off the side of the road.

That’s why you twist speaker wire leads, hence the factory door speaker runs are all twisted. Quickest way to find them in a wire run

That filter pulls out really easy😂

Thats my line of duty….the life of a tow truck driver. 😮
at this point you need to get a battery operated fuel handle for fuel tanks
Man my 01 suburban has a bad fuel sending unit too and goddamn does it suck when it says you have 1/4 tank and you got nothing
It looks like you need to put some strobes on your bronco
Agreed!
Those hats are sick! I need a new one 😅 cough cough
Where did the fender go on the bronco lol
Idk why but all I can do is try to imagine Chris with hair
Uncle Ryan could become step-dad Ryan.
Couldn't play football cuz he always ran the wrong way
Do those metal safety cans for construction not exist in California anymore
Did you piss off Big Walt by not give him some extra fruit and he took it out on the Bronco's wheel well?
Dave's van needs a brush guard and a winch.
