He definitely looked to be cheating, but worse than cheating was him constantly using the wrong type of shot for the range

Also the fact that he never used his heal at the right time. Literally only used it when he was max or anti. Bro was at 90hp and didnt use it

Yeah it was pretty clear if you know how the software works. Those micro flicks are him engaging the aimbot. People tend to aim in sweeping motions, not two separate ones. Sometimes those two motions happen, but it's too consistent in this guys case. On top of that, if you've played enough fps, looking at this replay just has this subconscious feeling of being off. Like when an artist messes up the proportions a little bit and it feels wrong but you can't exactly tell why.
I don't know its hard to tell because the guy said he turned it off second round and in the second round he does the micro flicks , i play genji and i do some micro flicks myself but you also have to account for the wonky hitbox of hook ,this vid has 1 sus hook and its the hook with mercy while him fighting the solider other than that this hog doesn't even look plat let alone Dimond or masters
@@thegaminglord2190 It doesn't matter what the submitter said - those were aimbot flicks, clear as day.
And then there's the extremely blatant hook you don't even need to slow down to see.

This is so blatant if you know the software, also if you didn't know, the hacks are toggleable, meaning you can turn it on or off with a push of a button, for example, u bind it to ur x1 mouse button, everytime u press it, it will automatically turn the bot on, thats what causes the microflicks.
@@thegaminglord2190 The guy who said he turned it off second round just didn't know what to look for or didn't watch the entire second round so he spoke incorrectly. The hog most likely is using a toggle aim bot. Toggle aim bots can be turned on or off with a hot key and can be bound to any key they want. They can also have the sensitivity of the aim bot turned up or down. It seems like the sensitivity wasn't turned up all that high which makes sense when you account for the massive hitbox that is hook. You don't need a high sensitivity aim bot for hook.
This is 100% cheating. All you can do is just report people like this and let blizzard deal with it from there.
most importantly, you can see the difference in play between a hacker and a top 500 pro vs bronze players.
Hackers play WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too confidently for their rank, because they know they will always hit their shots. When you know for a fact that you'll win every 1v1 and almost every team fight because you're guaranteed to get a kill because you have an aimbot on, you play so completely differently.
Think of that feeling when you pop Solider ult and know 100% you're shooting that Mercy outta the sky, slapping the lucio off the wall and lighting up that widow from across the map. You play so confidently and aggressive. This guy is obviously a veteran hacker because all normal player hesitation is gone, he knows he'll hit his shots and get his hooks and when he dies it's because he got 1v5'd and not even hacks can save you from that.

You can see the tracking big time when he goes whole hog. The cursor stays at peoples chest, and tracks perfectly with them. He is definitely cheating.
When we can actually see stats on some of these cheaters during replays we will then see how ineffective Blizzard's "Defense Matrix" truly is at detecting cheaters. Even if some of them lower their accuracy by shooting air it will still be interesting for the one's that don't and somehow STILL don't get banned.
The type of aim that's probably going on is silent aim. Where the view will flick quickly and shoot, giving the illusion that the cheater isn't actually hard locking. Usually unable to be seen in game, but when slowed down, you can see it.
maybe there's different versions of silent aim, idk, but the most common version is, where you shoot anywhere and the bullets/projectiles will always hit someone.
@Valkii FN Yes, theres multiple ways cheat makers develop silent aim, one of the quicker ways which can be picked up on replay (which this looks to be) is to have the characters aim snap their super super quick, then go back to the original spot. Its not noticable to the cheater or usually in games

Silent Aim isn't actually an aimbot, it's a method of hiding aimbotting. Usually comes in the form of "Silent Aim" or "Psilent" (Perfect Silent Aim)
That is to say, if you ran cheats and turned on Silent Aim but did NOT turn on Aimbot, nothing would be different.
@@AFlyingCoconut idk what ur talking abt. Silent aim is just rage aim in that no matter where you look you will hit someone, and in the replay screen your character is just hard locking

@ActuallyAwesomeName could be possibly they have insomnia as well. Baby's do cry in middle of night but not only that, they probably have an 8 hour shift to keep up with so having to take care of a newborn after work is exhausting. They probably watch videos soon as baby sleeps for the night

at 1:21 you can see the aimbot work, because for a split second after he right-clicked, the Mercy was closer to his crosshair, thus following the mercy rather than the soldier

Look at his shot at the doom at 7:45. You can use the , and . keys to advance/rewind by a single frame. He's aiming to the right of the doom and on the EXACT ACTIVE FRAME of the shot, he jumps to the left of the doom before returning to the right. So a resting position, a jump to a different position, then returning to the initial position all in 3 frames which is quite literally impossible to move that fast. This is not normally

I think the man just finished a 2 year training montage in aim labs while he saved for an epic gamer chair, now that all his stars aligned he is now showing us what a hook looks like with his new power level
I had a wall hacking roadhog before. He would camp behind a wall and nobody wanted to come out cause it was a guaranteed one shot to the squishes
It's funny with cheater videos but it's fucking depressing how many they are now. I see several cheaters in OW2 per week in bloody QUICKPLAY. In OW1 I would be lucky to see one once in a blue moon.
Man... I was playing quickplay yesterday and in the other team was a Hanzo with full headshot in kill cams, meanwhile us trying to do something because all of us are noobs in OW
There are so many cheaters nowadays propably because its ftp and not a loss of money they just make more accounts and join again there are no repercussions the worst thing that could happen is them beeing banned and thats not even something to stop them
Yep this is the unfortunate nature of free 2 play FPS. The fact that account sellers have already figured out how to get around the number verification with virtual numbers means that number verification doesn't even help prevent cheaters.
@@cloudyman04 They do still have to buy accounts or win 50 qp games to cheat in comp but they’re still cheap. It’s hard to imagine someone buying cheats to play in qp but I wouldn’t put it past people today

That’s because console has built in aim assist. This is not console, and you can’t cross platform in comp. So no, not to be fair.

It looks like an aim anchor (don't know if that's the term). Like, his aim seemed to stick to some targets and that would explain the Mercy hook, the aim was stuck on Mercy

The problem with cheating in OW is it's actually pretty difficult to tell sometimes, especially as cheater developers are bringing out their "humanised aimbot" (which actually does look human, but comes with a hefty price tag, like $60 a week type of shit).
The only time I knew 100% for a fact that someone was cheating was a Soldier who locked onto people's necks with perfect tracking (it was most obvious when he was shooting at tight groups as the aimbot would constantly switch targets as it did not know who to hit) - Most of the time I really can't tell, I just report people who I think look sus and sometimes I get a notification from Blizzard that they banned someone

Being a hog main myself and watching a lot of different hogs gameplay I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. That mercy hook just looks like desync which I've noticed happens a lot in overwatch 2. But as for his aim, I've noticed from watching a lot of different hogs gameplay we all tend to flick our primary shot like we are anticipating the flick for hook in some shape or manner. Hogs hook has a different action and projectile speed, which a lot of us compensate for by flicking to our targets. After a while of so much muscle memory you begin to flick even your primary shot with the same anticipation as the hook. If you know anything about firearms it's the same reason why people anticipate their recoil even without a live round in the chamber.

The obvious one was the mercy hook in round one. The aim flicks to her for a second and then back to the soldier after the hook has already landed.

As a hog main i was confused myself he clearly doesnt play hog at all. Also it seemed like that hook on the mercy he moved backwards instead of forward to get max damage

Same. Honestly have started playing less bc of it. Feels like at least 2-3 per week, if not daily. Which sucks for me especially bc I love playing widow/Ashe, but against a cheater it’s just impossible. Especially if they’re on widow.
Worst part is that when you call them out, no one ever believes you. My own team usually starts attacking me in the chat instead

I deleted the paragraph I was typing until I heard it again 3min later "no one aims like that" I've been doing it since late 00's COD days when they started doing that anti quick scope meta bs.. definitely been called a cheater a few times when I play OW since I still use controller but turn off aim assist.
